Tried this dry, and could not see on my eyelids. I applied wet, and the color is beautiful! If applied dry, color is sheer and fades, but beautiful wet! I would buy this again!!! Have gotten SO many compliments on it!

Iced Blue is described on the Bobbi Brown website as "pale icy blue." That's not entirely accurate. It does look blue in the pan, but when I put it on, it's more like shimmery silvery white. Like the other two reviewers, with whom I agree completely, it is shimmery but not glaringly frosty. Like most of Bobbi's shadows, it blends beautifully. Another hit from Bobbi.

"Ditto" to everything my previous reviewer said, becuz she said it so well! This is an icy blue eyeshadow that doesn't scream, "BLUE!" It is more like a shimmery, grayed-white with a subtle hint of light blue on my lids. I love the pigmentation and texture of this shadow because it applies easily and blends beautifully. It picks up easily on my MAC 252 brush, I pat it on, and there it is! No need for successive layers like with some other pale-colored shadows. This is one of the only blue eyeshadows I can wear, as anything brighter or deeper blue on my lids makes me feel like I'm dressed to stand on a corner. ;oD
BB's Iced Blue Metallic does NOT fit into that category at all! I pair this with any brown, taupe, or gray e/s in the crease and it makes for a pretty, neutral daylook. Yesterday, I wore this on the lids with Laura Mercier's Twilight Grey in the creases, lined upper lashes with L'Oreal HIP cream liner in black and bottom w/ Bare Escentuals Brocade liner (wet) and I loved it! Would definitely repurchase...

When someone mentions light blue eye shadow, I typically will cringe and think of either 80's Cover Girl ads (yes, brings back memories of middle school) or that awful Mimi character from The Drew Carey Show. Bobbi Brown's Iced Blue Metallic shadow, however, is far from Mimi or an 80's ad and definitely not scary.
This is a very pale blue--it's more of a shimmery white with a little sky blue mixed in. than it is a baby blue. It's very pretty when worn with Stone or Heather Mauve and a gray e/l. This is one I can even wear to work without looking overdone or ready to go clubbing. The shimmer is not OTT and there's no fallout, which also makes this good for work or weekends--it's versatile that way. It's simply pretty and different--I love e/s and haven't seen a color quite like this anywhere else. It's lovely on my NW20 skin, but I could see it working on most neutral-cool gals.
The texture is great. It's blendable and lasts all day over UDPP. I love these metallic shadows--I really hope that BB grows this line. This one haunted me for the better part of 2 months until I finally broke down and bought it. Definitely a repurchase-worthy item for me.
