I actually really like this. I was discouraged when I applied the second coat and it was uneven. At three coats, it is opaque, no streaking and is very dark. So dark that you could *almost* say that it looks black but you know it's actually a dark, vampy plum color. It's lovely. For the price, the wear is really surprising (I think I spent $2 on this at Walmart) and I am very impressed. I got a compliment on it today at Sally's by the sales girl who was ringing me up; she said it was so shiny (with Seche Vite topcoat) that she almost thought it was a gel polish. Very nice polish. Will purchase again.

Yet another polish that looks darker on the nail than in the bottle. And considering it's quite dark in the bottle, it looks practically black on the nail. At one coat the color is nice but streaky. By two it's hard to tell what color it's meant to be. Definitely disappointment.

Think this is a great dupe for Lincoln Park After Dark. I do my own pedicures and this has been on for over two weeks now with zero chipping. I can't even remember if I put a top coat on. Goes on smoothly, two thin coats was more than enough to cover, great control with the brush, will definitely re-purchase.

Scandal is a deep, dark purple creme in the bottle, but seems more burgundy (red) on the nail after 2 coats.
Two medium-thick coats or 3 thin coats is enough. If f I apply another coat immediately (before the previous coat dries), I seem to create a slighty lighter spot (esp at the nailbed).
The polish dries quite quickly and smoothes over any uneven spots. Once dry, there is enough shine to not use a topcoat.
Wear seems pretty good, but I change my polish every 3 days.
I do like the bottle style, square and does not tip-over easily. Yes, would purchase (or swap for).

This is a great vampy burgundy. It has a nice jelly like consistency and dries really fast for a darker color. Application is easy and flawless after two coats. Scandal dries super glossy even without a top coat, as well. Wear is average, but I always get crappy wear no matter what brand I use. This is a great buy for 1.97 at WalMart!
