I picked this up at Marshall's for about $8 and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
It really does help your lipstick, lipliner or glosses stay on your lips longer and it moisturizes your lips and leaves them feeling very soft.
No strong smells and it absorbs very quickly without any residue or aftertaste.
The tube is sanitary and I would even buy it at full retail price because it works and a little goes a long way.

This is the only lip primer that works for me, and it moisturizes too so long as your lips aren't badly cracked (if they are, try Herbal Glo lip balm, a Canadian product that works wonders). Just a tiny blob of the primer smooths the lips, evens out the tone, and helps lipstick stay on longer and look better. This product is miles better for me than anything else I've tried, including Clinique's All About Lips.

Wow, for someone who usually cant wear lipsticks due to peeling and dry lips, this is the best product ever. If you do buy at full price, it is pricey but due to a new formula, the old version can be found at discount stores so check there first. You really only need a drop the size of a pin head to put on your lips. I did put lip balm on first and then the lip cream but I don't even think you need the lip balm, just use the cream first. If you ever felt like lipstick didn't look good due to how your lips are, think again, this product will change your mind.

I've been using this for close to 10 years, and it's a staple in my morning routine. Makes my lips stay conditioned, keeps my lips looking healthier, helps my lipstick last longer. You only need the tiniest amount, and a tube lasts me about a year and a half. One of my favourite ever products.

This was sitting in my drawer for a long time because I didn't really wear that much lipsticks when I first bought it. I thought It would be like a lip balm even though I knew it's suppose to be a primer. Anyways, I started to get into nude lips but I have dry lips and nudes show every line on my lip, so i decided to finally use this. This products worked so great on creating a smooth surface over my lips and my lipstick went on even. You only have to use a little bit. I've tried other lip primers since then and none work as well as this.

I now swear by this as a base for all my lipstick. I like wearing very dark lip shades (burgundies, plums, deep browns, dark berry-pinks, etc.) and it can be hard to get them to apply and wear evenly without feathering or smudging. Lip Fix solves these problems so well, making a great primer for any lipstick or even gloss to help ensure even wear. I have tried just foundation or face primer as lipstick base and it doesn't work as well as Lip Fix. I would very highly recommend this...I now don't go a day without it.

It really does the job: smoothes out the lips, and makes lipstick and glosses stay on for much longer. It just takes a tiny little bit of product, and it melts quickly into your lips. I'm more of a ligloss and nude lips-girl, than a lipstick-girl, but this works great for me even with lipgloss. It moisturizes the lips too, so I've even jused it sometimes when I'm not wearing any lipgloss, I've just put it on before my lip balm, and it makes the lips look smoother and better, they stay moisturized for longer before putting on more lip balm. No other product like this on the market, everyone should have on in their makeup-bag.

This is pricey so I took a lippy off otherwise, a terrific product. Your lipstick, colour, gloss, etc. stays put- period. No bleeding or feathering, no matter what you're wearing. It really does last all day/night. I always keep this product in stock- have for about 7 years! I've tried 'Modele's Lip Pencil" that claims to do the same type of thing but 1) you have to but a special sharpener & 2) it has a waxy consistency that you have to massage into the rim of your lips or it shows. Lastly & most importantly, it doesn't last the way E. Arden Lip primer does. A great product, especially for dark lipstick where feathering/bleeding would look horrid! Pricewise, the difference is only about $6 & Arden's packaging is a tube with tiny little tip so you have excellent product amount control:)

This really makes a difference when applying my lipstick. Lipstick goes on smoothly and color stays true and lasts. My lipliner actually stays on! I do not have any problems with feathering so do not know how it works for that issue. You only need a teeny tiny amount so a tube will last years. Contains parabens.

It's taken me a while to get around to writing a review on this fabulous product that I can't live without. I remember when this came out 10 or so years ago. I think I bought a tube, used it and never used it anymore for SOME reason beyond me. I re-discovered this at TJ Maxx a few years back and picked up a tube. HOLY MOLY, what was I thinking by not keeping up with this product? This is the only thing that keeps my lipstick from feathering and keeps it on for hours. You can find it at the Maxx or Marshall's dirt cheap at 5.99. Worth every penny. It just takes a drop of this lotion so don't go crazy and glop it on. Apply a tiny drop over your lips and let it dry first. Line and fill in! Voila! This stuff will keep your lips looking great for hours. I am well stocked on this. It doesn't get enough kudos! It's fabulous stuff! Try it!

I've never tried using primer on my lips before. Although I always found Elizabeth Arden lipsticks not moisturizing enough, I just applied lip balm before lipstick. But the colour still feathered after a while and I hated that. The SA recommended this product and I really like it for several reasons. It doesn't make the coverage more sheer (like lip balm does). It makes the fine lines on my lips disappear, making my lips look smoother and prettier. And mostly, no feathering at all! I don't know about the bleeding problem though. I usually wears lipliners so I've never had that problem. The only thing that bugs me about this product is that it doesn't make my lipcolour last that much longer. It didn't seem to make too much of a difference. Overall, it's a good product and worth the $28 CAD.

This is just okay. I found it for $9.99 at Marshall's. You do not need alot AT ALL, because if you do use alot, it's a mess. It doesn't taste very good though ha. I mean, it's not intended to smell or taste good, but it doesn't. Oh well. I guess it helped keep lipstick on a little longer. =\

Been using for 40 years.......nothing else ever worked when I became prone to feathering and dry lips. Apply a few minutes before applying liner and lipstick and all goes on smooth and easy.

A few months ago I found this at TJ Maxx for $5.99 and purchased two, one for home, one for purse. It creates a very nice base for lipsticks to adhere to and I find I use it every day. I had tried a similar product made by Mary Kay in the past and found it separated in the tube. Lip Fix is much better.

I found a tube of this at my local TJMaxx (got a fantastic deal at $5.99). It takes just a small bead of this product for each application. I tested it on a very dark lipstick (MAC Rage and Mahogany liner). The color went on very smooth and hours later, it still looked fantastic. I wouldn't use this as a lip balm, as this is not what it's intended for. As a primer, it gets a rave from me!

I'm 47 and use lip liner, lipstick, lip gloss, lip paint, lip balm - not all at once! - and this is an excellent base to use before applying any of these products. I don't yet need Lip Fix to prevent feathering so can't comment on its efficacy in that regard, but it makes lips smooth and silky and your lip colour will look better for it. It doesn't take the place of moisturising and exfoliating but is a worthwhile specialist product to consider if you need help in achieving the perfect look. P.S. The tube lasts forever!

i am gonna be the ugly black sheep and give this 5 lippies. why? because this is the only thing that works for me as a lip primer.
I ALWAYS HAVE THOSE UGLY WHITE LINES INSIDE MY LIPS AFTER 2 HOURS OF LIPSTICK APPLICATION because I guess i dont drink much water (that's what most people say). it's GROSS. I NEVER WANTED TO WEAR LIPSTICK UNTIL I FOUND THIS. I never got those ugly white line of dry skin inside my lips anymore. i know it seems water-y coming out of the tube, but from a person who never wears lipsticks because of the dry skin that ends up as a thick white line inside the lips, THIS IS GREAT!
Just in case you want to know, I have tried kiehl's #1, cargo lip primer, MAC lip conditioner (this works, but I use this more to touch up during the day than as a primer like this EA lip fix that I only use in the moring before i put on lipstick), La Mer, Alchemy.

This helps to make lipsticks go on more smooth, especially drier lipsticks. Even when my lips are super dry some days, it helps to maintain a nice base for lipsticks. As far as preventing bleeding, lip fix does an average job. Still, I have found this to work very well for me.

Visible Difference
Lip-Fix Cream
Just a tiny drop on and around the lips before foundation helps to set lipliner and lipstick. Doesn't do a thing for gloss (not that I expected it to).
If I don't apply my lip color within a few minutes, however, my lips become very, very dry. This is not a moisturising product!
me: extremely dry, sensitive skin with random spots
