White Lucent is a brightening eye treatment, not a moisturizer. The instructions included with the packaging tell you explicitly how to use the product. There is a diagram indicating how to apply the cream on pressure points around your eye sockets and how to massage it gently around your eyes. If used alone, this product will not take away lines nor will it moisturize heavily. I did find some minor plumping action, but that I'm sure was only from the moisturizing benefits. It is used to brighten the under eye area. Look at it this way-imagine Geisha women and their makeup. It's flawless and the skin around their eye area matches perfectly to their cheeks. That's almost what this does if used properly. It is a white cream with light diffusing properties. You don't need much and you gently pat it on and massage it a few times on the pressure points. That's it, twice a day. I bought this because I don't sleep well and noticed dark circles appearing under my eyes. The first day I could see a difference. Not in erasing the circles permanently, mind you, I don't think anything will ever do that, but this product has now become my HG of eye creams. We need to be realistic about our expectations of products we purchase and use. They can only do so much with the skin we have nurtured. There is no miracle product out there, but there are products that will help to "lighten the load", so to speak, when applied properly. And remember, just as you hydrate your skin, you must hydrate your body. I use White Lucent in conjunction with my serum and moisturizer. It is important to understand that a sole product does not work alone to produce results. A serum will hydrate and prepare your skin to receive the next product which is your moisturizer. So if you use White Lucent in the right steps, then you'll get its maximum benefits. I use it after my serum and before my moisturizer. As far as long-term benefits, I don't know. Companies are always changing what's in their products, adding and subtracting here and there. I'm happy with what I see now, and will update if I see any negative effects. I feel as long as I take care of what I have, that's the best I can do. I gave this product 5 lippies because when I put it on, the darkness actually disappears under my eyes. It's gone. Kaput. See ya. And I don't have to work with it like a concealer. I don't use concealer anymore. A few gentle massage techniques and it's done. As far as price? I felt 3 lippies was fair. I've spent double this on eye creams that I feel work for other concerns. The packaging quality received 4 lippies because of the pump and that's a good sanitary thing. It's a little wieldy to pack so that why the 4. Would I buy it again? In a heartbeat.

I liked this eye treatment because it was hydrating. It didn't brighten as I wanted it to though. For its hydrating properties I give it 3 lippies.

This review is for the White Lucent Anti Dark Circle Eye Cream.
i dig this! i have dark circles under my eyes at times and not.much has helped to shift them...apart from this!
Its a lightly fragranced, thick, creamy treatment in a heavy round pot. I use this at night after taking my makeup off & have seen a marked difference after around 4 months

Claims that this is a very moisturizing product that help with dark eye circles. The RESULTS = Expensive Trash. Not only did it dries out my eye area even more, it didn't improve my dark eye circle. This product also make my eye puff up. Before, even if I don't get enough sleep, my eyes never puff up, but now it's so bad. DON'T buy this product. Such a great waste of money.

I tried this due to good reviews but there wasnt any apparant results to boast about. I have dark eye circles and dry fine lines . None seems to improve after a bottle. Although it is hygenic in the form of a pump bottle, i cant help but feel there will at least be a few more applications that are left inside the wall of the bottle where the pump cant reach. Eye creams are not cheap!

I have some freckles below my eyes from sun i guess and This doesnt have any effect at all, just an extra thing i put on my eyes. Ive used it for months just to see if it really do something. Disappointed.

Unfortunately, there is no "0" rating:
This eye cream caused the worsed allergic reaction on my eyes and face area ever. I suffered from an allergic edema that bad that I couldn't open my eyes anymore, the entire area across my nose, half of the face was swollen. I don't know what kind of ingrediant caused this, unfortunately, Shiseido is known for not listing all of their product's ingrediants. I had to see a doctor, had to be treated with cortisone and she made an allergy test. It turned out that I am allergic to nickel sulfate. In daily life, this has never bothered me before, I have never reacted to anything before. I used this eye cream a second time on my arm, as the ingrediant list didn't indicate anything like nickel and guess - it turned red, itchy and stang like hell. I cannot believe Shiseido is using highly allergenic nickel in an eye cream! Or maybe the the pots in the cosmetic fabric contain nickel, anyhow this is not acceptable. I have been using other product lines by Shiseido before without any problems, but belive me: this is it!

I received two GWP samples of this treatment and have been using them every evening/morning prior to my Shiseido super contour eye cream for the past two months. I have been following the instructions that come with this treatment as well to make sure I apply it correctly. Well, two months have passed and I still have no idea what it's supposed to do. There is no effect that I have noticed from it. Nothing at all! On its own it doesn't moisturize enough (in fact it accentuates every single tiny wrinkle if used on its own!) and I have not noticed any brightening effect. I have been looking for it with a magnifying mirror to no avail :-) Needless to say, I am not going to purchase the full size.

I got a sample tube as GWP and liked it enough to repurchase in full size. (Fortunately my husband was able to pick it up duty free to save a little on the price.) I don't have much problem with dark circles so I can't comment on any actual lightening abilities, but I do have fine lines, and this seems to camoflauge them better than other eye creams. What I mean to say is that I don't think this is going to make my lines go away permanently, but rather the light reflecting properties make them immediately less noticeable. It's a white cream, probably closer to a lotion in consistency, not too runny and not too thick. The whiteness kind of covers up darkness (kind of like a physical sunscreen), the cream itself softens/moisturizes, and then the reflective stuff (which is very subtle, not glittery) makes the lines kind of disappear. The plastic pump bottle is nice, light weight, very easy to control what comes out and you don't need much, so it lasts a long time. The only drawback of the pump bottle is that it's kind of oversized for the amount of product, so it would take up half of my airline baggie. So tough to travel with. Yes, it's on the expensive end, but it's about the only eye cream I've ever repurchased. I do admit I like it more for its cosmetic effects (diffusing/reflecting light to hide lines) rather than its straight up moisturizing/conditioning properties and often supplement with a serum or something else in the eye area.

I just don't seen to grasp what this is used for. Under eye lotion? It makes no difference in my dark puffy eyes.

This is probably the only eye treatment that I've came across that has actually helped to reduce my under eye circles. However, I wouldn't say that it will help with fine lines.
I'll repurchase this again mainly because I feel that fine lines may easily be combatted with a good moisturising product. However to find something that actually helps with dark eye circles is a gem!

I've been using this for the past few weeks, and I definitely feel like it has brightened up my under eye circles. I have always had circles under my eyes that were darker than the average person's. This is the first cream that I've felt that it's actually working to lighten the skin around my eyes. It is also very moisturizing. The only downside is the cost. I love this eye cream! The pump makes it easy to dispense without contaminating the product with bacteria. The cream itself is pretty thick and has an illuminating quality to it. It looks pretty under makeup. This lasted me for 6 months and my eyes looked bright and refreshed, definitely got rid of dark circles.

Another fail product from Shiseido. I have been using this for 2 months and It did not do anything to my dark circles nor moisturize my eyes. It will just give you the illusion of bright eyes because of its white cast after you apply it but other than that it did not help fade my dark circle.

I bought this in hopes that it will reduce my dark circles, but unfortunately, it did not. However, I have heard that often with Shiseido's White Lucent line, you have to be willing to continuously use it (or at least purchase it a second time) to maybe see results. I'm just not willing to buy it a second time around. At a little over $50 for 0.54oz, I just don't think it is worth it. It isn't the most expensive eye cream, but it's expensive for a cream that doesn't work for me and only has one targeting property. I think that if you suffer from dark blue circles and not pigmentation dark circles, then it'll be a hard fix with any eye cream. If you use a more generous dab of this eye cream, you will see a luminizing effect in the form of a slick shimmer. This is fairly moisturizing but I wouldn't say it's "highly moisturizing", at least not for me. This cream also carries a fragrance and the scent is the same that runs throughout Shiseido's White Lucent line. I'm not one to be bothered by skincare fragrances , but for some reason, this particular scent is too much for me. All in all, this product didn't work for me. I think my under eye circles are invincible. I think I'm just going to focus on anti-wrinkle and anti-puffiness as I've spied some wrinkles cropping up lately.

I found it finally. an eye cream that reduced my dark circles in two months of use as a night cream because I am trying to use up another eye cream I am using in the morning that does a good job at moisturizing but does nothing at improving my dark circles or my fine lines. Now I didn't notice anything other than reducing dark circles I mean the fine lines are still there but it's been only two months I will keep using it and write an update. so far I am loving it.

This is one my favourite eye creams which shows instant results right when you put it one! My under-eye area is brighter right after application. The price is a bit up there and it does not feel as moisturizing but it does what it says--which is to brighten the eye!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I had such high hope on this product because of the comments on this website. Turn out, it is just another eye cream. It does moisturizes the skin area around my eyes. But the first week trying it on, it irritated my eyes so much that my eyes were hot and red all the time. I continued using it (again, because of the reviews), the irritation reduced but nothing changed. The specialist at shiseido section at macys in my area said it would take around 3 weeks to really see the result. it has been over 3 weeks now and i can still see my dark circles.
indeed, this product does not do what they said it would.

Man, I love this product! I bought this at Sephora where I was looking for an eye cream and the salesman (love that) told me he used this and said I didn't even need an eye cream in addition to this. Instead he gave me a sample of a Shiseido eye cream and told me to try this brightening eye treatment and if I didn't love it, bring it back to exchange for the eye cream. Turns out, I DO love this product and will keep using it! It brightens my eyes (I'm convinced that my undereye circles are so much lighter now and that my eyes actually look BIGGER! I use this twice a day and all you need is a tiny bit so this bottle will last me a while. I've read not so stellar reviews on this treatment but everybody's skin type is different and for me, this stuff is the real deal! Arigato, Shiseido!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination, Fair, Neutral Hair: Brunette, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Violet
I would really give it a 3.5 but since there are no halves here, I couldn't.
- It really does make my under eye circles appear brighter instead of darker.
- It moisturizes well.
- It doesn't really fade my dark circles away. i think the cream just reflects the light so that you can't see it as much.
- It's expensive and even though the bottle looks big, there 's not much inside.
Tip: Instead of using this after I moisture my face. I put foundation and concealer on first, then I pat a small amount over what I've already concealed.
