This was the first eyeliner I ever used. It's a pretty good price when you're just starting out with makeup, it's easy to use. You do need to sharpen it often which is kind of annoying, it's hard to get a good line when it's not sharp. It does smudge like crazy however which is annoying especially after a long day. When I first wake up it won't even go on if my eyes are a bit water. I put it on my waterline and even if my eyes arent watery it tends to smudge away. I've also used it in purple which stained my eyelids pink after I took it off even after scrubbing for 20 minutes, so I'd only reccomend getting it in black. Still, it's a good price and good for if you're just beginning makeup or need to apply quickly before going somewhere.

I got the black and purple glitter eyeliners and LOVE! It's a very soft pencil so glides on easily, much better than loads of others I've tried. I think it's best described as a gel in pencil form. I only need one quick swipe in my waterline and this has def performed that best for me. I don't really see much glitter so that would be the only downside. I haven't had a problem with it running but I do use a lid primer and makeup setting spray so maybe that would help others with that problem.

i found that this works very good. to make a statement, i use the red lip liner on my eyes. it works absolutely great for both but i don't like how i have to sharpen it a lot though i recommend it.

For something so cheap, I didn't expect much. I mean, my favorite eyeliner is a gel, and it's about 5 dollars. (Wet N Wild) So, at 2 bucks, I decided to at least try it. I loved Hot Topic, and I desperately tried to have it work for me. But it was too smudgy and just didn't dry. I tried it on my upper eyelids (for that raccoon look we all LOVE!) and it made me look like someone punched me in the eye at the end of the day.
On my waterline, it lasted 5 minutes, before I became a panda bear. Overall, cheap, good for teens on a budget, but save up a little more and get something a bit better. I will say this though, for unusual colors (I use those for my lips when I want a fun shock!) it's the best place to go. Because it's so smudgy as an eyeliner, it's not as drying as a lipliner. So I fill in my lips with blue, or green, or orange, and put clear gloss on top, and voila!
Angsty, attention needing, teenage dream accomplished! Don't depend on these, there is MUCH better. But if I need a good halloween look, I'll look into these (just not the black!)

i always like using these because of how pretty they are. they're much cuter than your average black pencil! i usually buy these in the black glitter, even though sometimes the glitters get into your eye or scratches a little. it doesn't last too long on me, but its an affordable eyeliner that i always end up going back to.

This was the first eyeliner I used on myself. Not long lasting, smudged very easily. I had it in Black, Black Glitter, Red, Purple Glitter, Green, and Teal. The red was the only one I really liked and worked well.

This eyeliner cost me $1.99 and it is awesome! I actually came accross this when i was looking through my makeup stash, couldn't remember where i got it or anything, but decided since it was a bright blue shade i would use it to go with my blue shirt i was wearing that day. Anyway..it looked beautiful! So pretty, so easy to apply, didn't tug at my eye at all, and then i looked down at the brand and it said Hot Topic. I was amazed because i knew instantly that this was a cheap eyeliner. Later that day i was at the mall (where i work) and dropped into Hot Topic for the first time in years, and found the makeup area (didn't even know they had a makeup area!) and there was a bunch of these eyeliners in all different colors. I bought 5 of them!
BOTTOM LINE: this eyeliner is amazing, for the price you cannot beat it, highly reccommended!

I was actually really surprised by how good this eyeliner is.
It doesn't smudges, or irritate my eyes at all.
And, it doesn't hurt when I apply it to my waterline.
Plus the pencil itself is really cute.
I'll have to get some more next time I go to hot topic.
It's great, I totally recommend it .

I really really like the black and sparkly black. I think they go on smooth, don't smudge, and stay on all day.
The only problem I've ever had with Hot Topic eyeliners is the color ones, for me they start to smudge after a while. And when I say smudge, I mean everywhere.
But as far as the black goes, I think theyre great. And the price? You can't beat it.

Super cheap, yes, but I have the black one of this and I wanted to use it on my waterline. Yeah, don't even try.. even on my lids it doesnt stay put. I do have oily lids, but I have plenty of drugstore eyeliners that don't smudge on them.

Awesome packaging. I was skeptical at first about trying Hot Topic face product I mean, the price is way too cheap and...it doesn't look safe! "Lip/Eye pencil?" One must question that. But it was so cheap I just bought online my first time when I was 13? I bought the purple and blue color. It went on so smooth and brightens up the eyes. I recently got the gliterry black one and let me say, I love it! Cheapest and best pencil eyeliner around. Even my Estee Lauder or lancome doesn't compare. I even bought for my mom and am stalking up.

I am in love with this eyeliner! I've been trying to find a eyeliner comparable to urban decays 24/7 glide on eyeliners but with out the $16.00 price tag, because I think it's just ridiculous to spend that much on eyeliner. Well after trying every brand of eyeliner I could find at the drug store I decided to try this. I am So impressed with this eyeliner! It's just as creamy as the urban decay, it stays in place all day, and it doesn't smudge! And the best part is it's only $2.00!

I first bought this pencil when I was in high school. Back then I would alternate my eyeliners between almay, clinique's, and this one by hot topic. I was afraid to use up my "good" eyeliners, so I'd use this one almost daily. I love how smoothly it sharpens and how rich the color is (i've only used the black e/l so I can't comment on the other colors). I dont really have any issues with it fading on me or smudging under my eyes. I think its a great pencil for everyday and the price is fantastic! I think the packaging is cute with the silver and fishnet pattern with the little skull. Recently I started using MUFE aquaeyes and GOSH velvet touch eyeliners. I really hate how MUFE smears under my eyes giving my black circles. Gosh is better IMO but its a hassle for me to have to order it online and its difficult to sharpen and get a thin line. With HT's its easy to sharpen and easy to create a thick OR thin line. I would definitly recommend this pencil. its $1.99!

Most of the eyeliners are great. They last all day long. The only ones that I have trouble with are the glitter ones. They are very hard to get the glitter to show up and they scratch your eyelids doing so.
So i would give it a 5 but the glitter one isn't good. Buy the regular ones instead.

I've had this totally amazing eyeliner for a real long time now and its still working great! Sharpening it isn't so hard. Its only two bucks at Hot Topic. I have this in black and it works great, especially on the bottom of your eyelid.

I have this in Black and Red and I think both are actually really good. Go on really easily, it's not grrreat quality but I think it was cheap, I can't remember. It has a black fishnet design and some people might really like that, oh and the skull. I don't really care for it though. They have a variety of colors too. I think I remember a Hot Pink one I wanted. I would go back for it or the black. I've never used it for a lip liner but I think it might work ok.. if you find a color to match what you're using. I don't really know what other make up Hot Topic has now.
