This was the first hair product I'v ever fallen in love with, honestly. I would french braid my hair at night after my shower and sleep on it, then wake up and scrunch it with this product and every day people would compliment me all day on my hair, it was just so perfect. Now I can't find it anywhere. At all. Its like im searching for my first love from High school (kinda) I searched every store on Long Island and its no where to be found

This was my everyday after-shampooing curl product! It smelled nice and made my waves nice and soft, shiny and bouncy. But now, it is nowhere to be found! I'm stuck looking for another d/s curl product that isn't sticky.

I used this for years & years, but haven't been able to find it in recent months. A few weeks ago, I found it at my local Big Lots for $1, so I stocked up. I still love this product just as much as I did back in high school. It fights frizz & keeps my curls in place without making my hair crunchy as gel tends to do. The only thing I dislike, is that I feel like I have to pump it a million times to get enough product out. One pump dispenses a very small amount of product, so it kinda annoys me to have to keep pumping & pumping...but overall, I love this! :)

Love it.
Im a natrual girl and this product worked great with no doubt.
My frizz was gone and my crurls were defined!
It didnt dry my hair out, break it or shrink it too bad.
It smells good but I wish the packaging was a little diffrent.

I love it. Smells great of course. The packaging's great too and it's not expensive.Frizz free curls and touchable without the hair spray it's great.

This is the best product I have ever found for my hair. Sure it took a little getting used to - trying to figure out the right balance for my hair - but I LOVE IT! I have extremely dry hair and cannot stand what mousse does to it. This product makes my curls soft and bouncy and doesn't make my hair look wet ALL day long.

My review is for the "waves" not "curls" version of this product but as someone has wisely pointed out, the ingredients are the same for both products. Anyway, I really like it, though not for the intended purpose. It doesn't do much for creating or holding waves in my slightly wavy hair, but I do get a great straight blow-out with this stuff! And it's very moisturizing - I live in Alberta, the driest place on earth in the winter, and my hair has been looking amazing. Edit Dec 2010: I cut my hair pretty short (angled bob) and now this isn't doing much for me... I'll keep my rating as is, because it was great when my hair was longer (shoulder length).

Wow.. This stuff really sucked. It made my curls super frizzy so i ended up using a whole lot of other stuff to get my hair to look decent again. Would definetely not buy again

I like this product, I use it almost every day. Although I do have to use other products with it because alone it doesn't work very well, but without it my hair doesn't cooperate as well so I'll def be repurchasing :) plus I looove the smell :D

Hmm. I've used this product about 3 times since I bought it a week ago. I'm a bit confused by it to be honest! It doesn't hold my curls at all but makes them insanely soft and actually de-curls them almost to a wave. I'm thinking if I can work with it a bit more I may be able to achieve a nice beach-wave look which is a look that I love. When combined with a stronger gel it does work better. One things for sure, you can't scrunch with this product at all! I tried and failed horribly until I had about 4 pumps full into my short-medium length medium-curly hair! I rated this a 2 for now since I don't know how to work with it but I'm not giving up! I have a feeling I may be able to pull something off if I give it a little more time. I'll be back to update!

its ok. i use it with other products. i have curly hair so i use this, mousse, and a hair lotion haha. sounds like a lot but when i am missing one of the products my hair looks like crap. this is good. i like it better than the products that are JUST gel. i like the cream component. i have to use two pumps though to coat my hair enough though. however, i like it enough to keep getting it. doesnt weigh my hair down, doesnt flake, doesnt smell bad. it works.

So I bought this because i saw a turtouil on it...
Well the first time i tryed it made my hair poofy and therefore it didn't really keep any curl unless i used the entire freakin bottle and may i add my hair is naturally wavy so aftter that i tryed the moouse with the cream it made it stink like wet dog...
Now i learned i have to use a much stronger hair gel with this The aussie strong stuff works after i used that it made my HAIR AMAZING in bouncy full curls it was nice.
So overall i would buy this product if i used a strong hair gel with it.

This made my hair drier than the Sahara...I used it with the corresponding conditioner. I think I got sucked in by the packaging lol...the product smelled nice and I got compliments, but it did not define or hold my curls in any way and as i said, made my hair SO dry.

I don't like it as much as my other cream+gel products, but I got a lot more compliments on my curls with this than with the others. Hmm. It seemed more gel than cream and was a lot stickier than I was expecting. There isn't a lot of hold to it and by the end of the day my curls had separated and got so floofy that I had to pull it all up into a ponytail. On the plus side, my chronically dry hair stayed soft until I washed it again. I'm not sure if I would purchase again. I'll have to give it another try.

Its nice, looks good and makes my hair soft for my twist sets, but thats the problem I need hold so day 2 looks like day 4 or 5. So I will use it for weekend wash and go's when Im just running for groceries I dont need alot of hold for that

I assumed with a gel + cream formula that this wouldn't be a drying product, and the bottle directions promised that curls would remain soft. But instead, it left my hair dry and frizzy, with no hold or definition for my curls. The packaging is so cute and eye-catching, but unfortunately, it's all just a gimmick.

LOVE the packaging. It has pretty swirls & the bottom is pushed up with ever pump, to get all the product. LOVE IT. But that's where my love ends with this.
This did not provide "a gel hold with a creme feel" or whatever it said. It left my hair dry & dry feeling. I gave it two lippies 'cause it defrizzes SOMEWHAT, but my thick, curly hair was still left with a good amount of frizz. Disappointing, because the mousse & 24/7 creme work REALLY well. This is just a dud.

I like other Captivating Curls products, especially their mousse for my long curly hair; HOWEVER, I did not like the texture of this product nor the way it made my hair feel. It just doesn't have enough hold and if I use it, I have to add mouse to my hair anyway in order for it to look good. To style, I add a generous amount of mousse and pile my hair into a finger diffuser and read or get on the computer while I wait for it to dry. For those that have curly hair and have not purchased one of these, your hair will look so much better with this tool and greatly reduce your frizz!!

Nice packaging (rated 4) and great pricing (1). Overall 1 for my wavy hair as I wanted some curl defining WITHOUT FRIZZ. I do like other products from Sunsilk for my wavy, medium thick, highlighted hair such as Wave of Envy Sea Mist. This product caused my hair to start to frizz almost immediately; and my hair was still damp! I did follow package directions. If my hair is going to frizz it does not happen until the second day usually or later in the day if it is a very humid day. I threw this in the garbage. I will try other Sunsilk products and will repurchase Wave of Envy spray but will not repurchase this product. Also as another poster mentioned the cream gel formula for wavy hair is same formula; different colour packaging. I will continue to use Beyond the Zone Noodlehead cream (first) than a little of Aura Gel. Both products from Sally's.

I LOVE THIS STUFF! when i put this in my hair it made my curls so much more defined. usually i hate my curls, now i like them better! i will buy this again.
