I suggest those who weren't successful in applying the cream shadows using the cream eye shadow brush to use SHU brush#10 instead.
SHU brush#10 is expensive for an eye brush, but it is God-Sent! Don't be stingy, It is time to invest.
It works on creamy products like miracle.
Thats why it makes me love this palette more.
The creamy eyeshadow is very buildable.
The packaging is rather bad. The downside for me is it internal lids wont close tightly. Maybe mine palette has defect!

I like the fact that the eyeshadows are really long lasting. I don't think that the eye brush that comes with this is very good although the liner brush is fine.

While I do consider this one of my "must have palettes", I do wish there was more product for my money. I love the colors which are very neutral and easy to apply. Mineral Dust has to be one of my absolute favorite cream shadows of all time. One of the things I love about Bobbi Brown's cream shadows is that they don't crease on me. I have very oily eyelids and even though I do use UDPP, there is not one sign of creasing by the end of my long days. Overall, this is a very good palette and I would repurchase because it is so easy to travel with and is so versatile!

empresslilah's review basically mirror's my sentiments about this product...i am glad I bought it but for the price and the cumbersome packaging...I won't get it again.
I am a NC35 and actually like the color choices of this palette. Yes they are sheer but they ARE buildable if you apply one coat, wait for ti to dry, then blot another coat on with your fingers. I agree the brush for the shadows are totally useless but with fingers it works very well. I actually prefer that the shadows are sheer with sparkle. For my olive warmer skin color, they make my eyes pop without being garish. The wear is amazing....they lasted a whole 24hours on my lids without budging without primer...amazing.
The gel liners are amazing quality but I agree that there really isn't much difference in color between the two, especially with my skin coloring. The brush works well with the liners and they are equally budge proof.
I actually reach for this palette frequently and it is my HG product when I have to stay overnight for my job but for the price and packaging I will have to pass...unless I find it again on discount at the CCO.

I recently went to the Bobbi Brown counter to get some concealer and the SA ended up doing my whole face over, and I got suckered into buying this palette. When I first tried it on at home I was amazed at how sheer and gorgeous the colours were on me - I did not expect them to be just a wash rather than an actual shadow, but when I tried to build them for more pigment I had zero success. First of all, the brush that comes with it is completely ineffective for applying the shadows. In addition to being stiff, it seems not to let the product go on the skin.
In an attempt to build more colour, I applied a second layer with my fingertips, but they seemed to drag and collect the gel-like product instead of building and layering it on my skin.
The air-tight packaging is cumbersome but clearly necessary. It tells you that these gels will dry out eventually, so this is certainly not a palette you'll be using for very long.
The gel-like liners I've never had much luck with. For me they seem to flake and cake, even when I apply minimal amounts using the brush provided.
I took this back to Neiman Marcus and got a refund, the first time I ever returned makeup in my life. The SA said the shadows are buildable provided I use the BB Vanilla stick as primer first. However, I had a similar problem with the stick (when I used it in the past) as I did when I tried building these shadows - it is dragged off by subsequent coats and just does not blend. I blame it on the gel texture.

Actually, I rather like this palette. It's expensive, and I won't repurchase it, but I will definitely buy some of the components if they are released as individual products.
Yes, the cream shadows are on the sheer side, however - they are completely buildable and they wear like nothing I've ever tried before. Today I wore Gold Drop as a wash from lashline to brow bone with Mineral Dust over the entire lid and into the crease, topped off with the Black Topaz gel eyeliner and some dark brown mascara. I'm writing this at 7pm - I did my eyes at 7am and then spent the day alternating between an air-conditioned conference room and the humid, rainy NYC streets, and there isn't a crease in sight and my eyes still look like they did at 7am. The brush is useless for the shadows (use your finger) but very nice for the eyeliners.
And yes, the packaging is a little cumbersome, but given how well the products stay put on your eyes you won't need to reapply or even carry the thing if you don't want to. As for the snap lids, I would much rather have them than not...I spent $55USD on this and don't want everything drying out! All in all? Worth buying once.

Don't waste your money, the packaging on this product is terrible. I find it impossible to open the small lids covering each product without ruining my nails and I don't even wear nail polish. Unfortunately saks refused to take this product back - even though I said it was defective. Bah! And I am a generally a fan of Bobbi Brown palettes!

I rarely leave comments, but for this most disappointing product ever, I gotta say something.
The two cream e/s are EXTREMELY try. They're not even cream, they're like solid. I even put my finger on top of it to warm it up, but you can get NOTHING out of it, only barely some discrete pigments. You can tell the texture of these cream eyeshadows are totally different form the regular ones. What's going on this palette?
The liners are fine, but you pay fifty something for the two almost-the-same liners, with the annoying packaging?
I returned it right away.

This palette is just ok. Nothing special. I love BB cream eye shadows but these two shades are way too sparkly to where I will only be able to wear them out at night. The packaging is also clunky and could have been designed alot sleeker and easier to use. The flip top lids drive me crazy. I agree with the previous reviewer that the only bonus is the beautiful Black Topaz eyeliner, but other than that, I don't recommend anybody on buying this palette. I returned mine back at the store.

This is a great way to try 4 fabulous long-wearing BB eye colors...but both of the shadows are way too shiny-sparkly for mature skin! Only the liners - Espresso, and the intriguing new (subtle) Black Topaz - are really flattering to mature skin.
I also found the tight-fitting lids of the individual wells extremely difficult to open, and difficult to close securely.
The palette is a great value for $55 if you're young, but I'll be returning mine.

Olivia142 does an excellent job of describing this palette, so I'll try not to repeat what was already stated. This is a Holy Grail product! The colors are gorgeous, long-wearing, buildable, and very complimentary. I would like the packaging to be a little less clunky, but overall well worth the $55 price tag.

Save your money. I tried this twice at the counter. Completely underwhelming. This BB four-pan palette contains two creme shadows, 2 liners, a double-ended shadow/liner brush. The shadow colors are pale golden shimmer and grey-golden shimmer. They end up as cool shimmer and warm shimmer on my lid (I'm GGG/DDD). The liners are basic matte brown and an admittedly gorgeous black with gold shimmer. The liners are high quality with the darker one being truly spectacular. The brush looked excellent but the SA wouldn't let me touch it. She used the BB brushes on me, though,so she applied the shadows well, but man, all I got was shimmer without much pigmentation. They lasted all day, but who needs shimmer like that to last all day? This is definitely a going-out palette - and, in that case, it doesn't really need to be in palette form. Plus, you can't really use it on its own - if you do, you get an extremely basis look. The biggest problem I have is with the price - $55? For those teeny teeny pans? Ridiculous, and I'll spend $$ on anything (I mean,I happily paid $79 for a Chantecaille palette). The pans are miniscule and the product isn't unique or particularly good. Only the liners are high quality and only the darker one is truly special. This should have been priced at $40 max. For god's sake, wait for the CCO if you need this palette - DON'T pay retail.

The container is well made, housed inside the usual rectangular compact is four separate sections with individual caps for each color. They are flip top type lids that need to be pushed down firmly to close which leaves it airtight.
This is a well made container for cream products. Housed inside this rectangular mirror compact are four individual pots of color. Each color has its own flip top type lid that needs to be pushed down firmly to close airtight. Included in this compact is a dual-ended brush which also has a cap on the gel liner side. And, if it matters to anyone, this palette is paraben-free.
This palette consists of 2 cream shadows and 2 gel liners.
Gold Drop:-long wearing cream shadow-shimmery gold white with gold flecks;
Mineral Dust:-long wearing cream shadow-shimmery gunmetal grey with gold and pink flecks
Espresso:-gel liner-blackened brown with no shimmer
Black Topaz:-gel liner-warm blackened brown with gold & bronze flecks of glimmer
The two cream shadows are crease proof and sheer but can be built up for more color. I usually neutralize any discoloration around my eyelid with concealer or a neutral eyebase for the true color to appear when I apply. It is possible to apply on top of bare skin and to use as a base for shadows since it is crease proof. As a base for other colors, the texture provides a base of glimmer for shadows. The shimmer does get muted if matte shadow is applied on top but provides a soften glow. I prefer to use this after I have finished my eye look to provide a bit of dewiness to the lid. I just dip the brush provided and tap softly onto the lid. If I want more, my finger will provide more color. These cream shadows are a bit sparkly but not "showgirl" glitter. As for the gel liners, they are like the full size. They provide long wear and also can be used as a smoky base for smoky eyes.
I like this palette enough to wear during the upcoming holidays. I admit that the Black Topaz liner could have more glimmer to it, but that is easily solved by layering any of the two cream shadows on top. It is a versatile palette that can be used with many colors. If you find that you like cream products but never could get into the full size ones, this is a palette to consider. Ingredients: Gel liner- Isododecane, cyclopentasiloxane, polyethylene, trimethylsiloxysilicate, disteardimonium hectorite, propylene carbonate, lecithin, phenyl trimethicone, hydrogenated polyisobutene, methicone, barium sulfate, bht, phenoxethanol. May contain: iron oxides, mica, titanium dioxide, blue 1 lake, carmine, chromium oxide greens, manganese violet, yellow5 lake, chromium hydroxide green, bismuth oxychloride, ultramarines, ferric ferrocyanide.
