I love love love this toner. I used the Clinique toner (not sure of the name anymore) when I was a teenager. All I remember about the product was it stung and dried out my skin. I vowed to never use toner again. I ended up purchasing this due to Missglamorazzi (the YouTube guru). She had mentioned in one of her videos that is was good dupe to Bioderma. Since I heard so many great things about Bioderma I decided to try the Boots version. It feels just like water on the skin. I noticed that it pretty much just prepares my skin for my moisturizer. I use it after I wash my face both day and night. It removes all the excess makeup and dirt after washing my face and just feels very refreshing.

I was in the market for a new toner and had been doing a bit of research, I was pretty much set on Thayers rosewater toner..until they were out of stock when I went to purchase it. Then I found myself at target and had vaguely remembered hearing someone was happy with this toner so being $4 I picked it up. I hadn't even checked the reviews on here which made me a bit nervous but I was so happy to come home and read a lot of positive reviews! I'm really happy with the toner thus far! I used to use an AHAVA toner which I was pretty happy with too. This one is so so SO gentle but yet it does the job it's intended for! Really nothing to lose if you're iffy about giving this a chance. Only reason I took off some points for the packaging is because it has a pretty large spout so sometimes if I'm in a hurry I use too much, but that's my own fault!

I must be on about my 10th bottle of this. This is just a basic no frills, fragrance free alcohol free and witch hazel free toner, no artificial colours or dyes either. It's excellent to use after cleansing just to make sure everything is removed. A lot of toners contain antioxidants etc these days. But I use an antioxidant rich serum followed by a moisturiser loaded with beneficial ingredients, so personally I don't feel the need in a toner as well.If like me all you want is a basic toner , you won't get any better than this. Here in the uk this is now known as simply sensitive,it's the same product.

This is a great toner for the price, especially considering how difficult it is to find toners without alcohol, fragrance and/or witch hazel. I have combo/oily skin with what I believe is a precursor to rosacea (my mom and grandma had it; I have lots of redness over my entire face but no "breakouts"). Keep in mind that this is extremely gentle and you probably won't "feel" it tighten up your pores like you would with most toners. The only reason I won't be buying it again is because I'm mercilessly cutting out any product that shows any signs of being irritating, and this does sting a touch for about 30 seconds after I use it. But I do think it's worth anyone giving it a try. There's nothing in the ingredients that's an irritant, this is just my own skin's reaction to it.

I wanted a basic toner that was fragrance free and gentle without extra ingredients like salicylic acid, retinol etc. (I prefer using skin treatments in a different base than a toner) After some research I bought Boots. at Drugstore dot com for $4 bucks for six ounce bottle. Target also sells this for about $5.00.
ESGT removes cosmetic residue without leaving my skin feeling stripped. It is very soothing. The ingredients are simple but non irritating. No alcohol or witch hazel! I even use this around my eye area, really feel that all skin types could use this. I accidentally put two in my cart when I ordered and I'm so glad I did. I have the extra in a spray bottle in the fridge and it feels refreshing.

I love this product. I purchased it on the 3 for 2 offers in boots. The packaging is plain but nice. It is a very watery consistancy, but I usually put 3 dabs onto a cotton pad and then its fine to put on. It just works really well without being harsh on my skin :-) Removes all traces of cleanser and left over make up, just great! And very cheap too :-) Yay"!

HG Toner. Removes last traces of makeup and is so gentle. Alcohol, oil, and fragrance free. Also really cheap. Target stopped carrying it and now I have to order it from drugstore.com

This was about 4 bucks at Target, but don't be fooled by the pricetag! It is a super steal and an amazing find for people with super sensitive skin. I have been using it for about 2 weeks already and am still amazed at how gentle it is and how it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and glowy. Will definitely purchase again!

This toner is super basic, but it's effective at sweeping away the last traces of makeup and restoring a little hydration to my face. My makeup looks good after I use this, and my skin is glowy but not oily. I love that this has no fragrance. Very gentle, indeed!

I would buy this again, and I have! By far the best toner I have purchased in a long, long time. Fragrance free, alcohol free, non-irritating. Really does remove any remaining gunk on your face after cleansing and does not leave it tight, dry or irritated.

Have only been using this product for a few days so I can't comment on any longterm effects. But the great thing is there is no alcohol or fragrance which is SO HARD to find!! And, yes, it does remove any leftover makeup after cleansing; the proof is on my cottonball!

I really like this toner since it's alcohol free and really takes off any excess makeup that I have after cleansing it. At $3.99 (Target), I'm amazed at how it actually does a better job than department store toners I have tried over the years. Highly recommended!

I really love this toner- it's gentle and irritant free but will pick up any traces of dirt, oil, and makeup. It leaves a nice finish on the skin and for me, it's also improved my skin's texture. It's gentle, cheap, and effective-everything you could want in a product. I will definitely repurchase!

I had been searching all over trying to find a different product for my old discontinued toner from Grassroots (Kohl's) which I really loved. I have drier, sensitive skin, so I'm really picky about what I use on my face. I was skeptical about this toner, especially since it was only $3.99. The day I noticed this product at Target, they had an Boot's event going on and were giving out $1.50 off coupons for any Boot's product. At $2.50 with coupon, it was worth a try. I briefly looked at the ingredients to make sure there wasn't any alcohol, witch hazel or fragrance (which usually cause a reaction or dry out my skin), and there was nothing bad I could decifer -- so I bought it. I'm really glad too! Even if I paid the regular price, this toner is a steal -- especially if you have sensitive skin like mine! Many "gentle" toners don't do much -- but this one doesn't disappoint me at all. Everytime I use it, I see residue my face cleanser didn't reach. As far as any reactions to my skin -- none, nada! The bottle is simple, basic design -- take off the cap, put a cotton ball on the top, and tip it over to saturate the cotton ball. I'm pleasantly surprised by this inexpensive and effective toner -- and I will definitely repurchase!

I used to use clinique's mild claryfing lotion. But when i went to target i saw they had the boots range (i am originally from england), i thought i'd look at their new products. The ingredient list and claims of this toner was everything i look for. It is hard to find toners without alcohol or fragrances (which all us ladies know is bad for skin!). As it was only $3.49 i thought it was worth a try. Since using it i find it to be just as good as clinique's and even better because of the price, we all love a bargain!! It's very soothing, cool and refreshing and it removes all the final pieces of make up very well. i use it morning and night. I have combination skin and i find it definately doesn't dry my skin or make it any greasier. Bottle holds the product well, although not very fancy to look at.
Edit: I have removed a lippie as I brought boots botanical brightening toner and it is alot more moisturizing than this one.

I was between a four and five with this product only because I am not in love with it but do not see any reason not to be either. It is gentle (at least I hope). It does not sting and does not burn my entire face, including my eyes. I am new to toners, but I knew that I had to be careful choosing one since my skin is so sensitive and dry. I really like it and will stick to it, unless I find some great natural toner that is as or more effective as this one and as gentle. I am really trying to use more natural products.
UPDATE: I am no longer using this because I am trying to rid myself of parabens and other toxic ingredients. Plus I think after a while my skin started getting irritated and dry.

Very good for sensitive skin. It allowed my skin to heal after switching from a drying alcoholic toner. It does what it supposed to do. Remove dirts, makeup, and refreshes your skin. Totally recommended for sensitive and normal skin. Can use on eyes too. I use this to soothe my eyes because the eye makeup remover and facial cleanser don't remove all the leftover. So, this acts as a remover and soother. I like!!

loooove it. has replaced neutrogena's pore refining toner forever. its so gentle and mild, and it doesnt burn my nose.
update: after using this for a little longer i noticed my skin is WAYYY oily. i deal with an oil problem anyways, but this just makes it worse. i'm sad this didn't work for me in the end=(
back to neutrogena for me. i guess i need the drying effect of alcohol.

Love this whole line. This toner is very mild and does feel like water, but that's because it is formulated to be irritant free and does not contain the alcohol and drying irritants that other toners contain. I had been using Clinique's CL1 which was so drying, I think because the main ingredient is alcohol. It leaves skin nice and moist ready for moisturizer. This is wonderful for winter dry skin. Drugstore.com sells these products for lower prices than Target's.
