My holy grail hairspray. I have been using this since it came out and have never strayed (except once, to try a sample of Ellnet, which I hated). This is the epitome of a perfect hairspray in my book. It is fairly light weight (although it does give hold that you can feel, which I like; "flexible hold" has no place in my hair :D), and best of all, the smell doesn't give me a migraine (unlike pretty much every other hairspray I've tried). I would be lost without this. It holds curls, teasing, everything. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Disappointing. Caused my hair to be sticky with some build-up, while only holding style/volume moderately well. I much prefer the Frizz Ease Moisture Barrier Hairspray and Nioxin Volumizing Reflectives to this.

EXCELLENT FOR FINE HAIR!!! Cheep. Super hold. Volume all day. This is a wonderful product. I like it much better than Pureology's hairspray which I have used for years. And much better than Big Sexy Hair's hairspray. A+

Made my hair crunchy and smelling like chemicals. I much rather prefer Big n Sexy hairspray to this. It also doesn't add that much volume, it goes away quick. I don't think I will purchase this again. While Big n Sexy is more expensive but worth it.

This is a GREAT hairspray. My hair is fine and thin, but I bleach and platinum tone the h*ll out of it....to give it body. I wear it spiky and messy (think Billy Idol), LOL. This hairspray really holds. It doesn't dry lightning fast, but once it dries, the hold and shine last ALL day. It does make my hair feel a little dry and crunchy...but that's what I LOVE about it. My wild "hair do" lasts all day. It rinses and washes out easily. The smell, to me, is fine. It is not great, but does not clash with my fragrance, and honestly I do not even smell it during the day. I have honestly tried dozens of hairsprays, some costing almost $30, and this works as well, or better. A great, relatively cheap find. Thanks John Frieda!!

This hair spray has amazing hold and works perfectly for my fine, soft hair. I have purchased every type of hair spray I can find and I am always looking for one that can hold my hair on a rainy day. I have finally found one that I spray on in the morning and, even if it is a pouring, rainy day, I come home at the end of a day and my hair is exactly as it was when I left in the morning. You do have to spray lightly and make sure you are not spraying too close to your hair. I find it is a bit sticky but the hold is worth it to me. It really is an amazing product and a little bit goes a long way.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!i have noo clue how it got so many bad reviews. If you look on total beauty, this is their top rated hairspray, weird, huh? anyways, amazing hold, volume, and you can brush it out, NO stickiness or stiffness, i even use it on wet hair and it turns out amazing!!!!

I'm surprised by the negative reviews- especially the ones that talk about this hairspray making their hair crunchy or sticky. As one reviewer pointed it out you should hold it a little way away from the head and spray a fine mist. Used this way I find it distributes lightly and evenly. I usually use this lightly on my ponytail before I twist it and wrap it into a chignon and it holds my hairstyle all day. I find that this hairspray does thicken hair a little but I haven't tried using it at the roots to get volume.

I have thick coarse hair and there is crazy humid weather here! This held my untamable hair in place all day without issues!! I would definately buy it again! I can't believe it held my hair in place and it did not feel sticky or make my hair look like a hard helmet!

Oh come on, ladies, lets get real. I bought this due to glowing reviews here. This stuff adds absolutely no volume and holds a short, short while. Overpriced waste of money. Going back to Aussie products.

I actually really love this hairspray.
For me, this product gives me great volume and hold that lasts all day. I have super fine and thin hair, so anything that manages to make my hair look fuller is a God send for me. This hairspray is especially good at giving me volume at the crown. I like to wear my bangs swept to the side, but one thing I hate is when they separate, or start to fall into my eyes. This hairspray keeps my bangs absolutely set to wherever I style them, until I brush them out at night before I go to bed. It holds my bangs in place even in those strong, nasty head-on wind type situations! (strong wind is any fine-haired girl's worst nightmare)
It does make hair "stiff" if you spray too much, or too close to your head, but I find that is easily remedied by brushing through it. The great thing about that is that the hold on this hairspray is so phenomenal, that even after I brush through it, my style is not ruined and the volume is still going strong! The volume that I get with this product is just amazing, I really can't say that enough.
It is a bit sticky when you first spray it on, as many hairsprays are, but that disappears after a few seconds once the product actually dries. I have never had any problems with brushing my hair, or tangling, after I have sprayed this product on my hair.
The smell is just your average hairspray type smell. I did not find it over powering or offensive at all.
All in all, I love this product, and would even go so far as to call it my favorite drug store hairspray. Will definitely repurchase!!

Not a holy grail but a good product. I read the sticky and hard hair reviews but if you spray from a distance and in a mist, this product is great. I mist it like a perfume all over my hair and my hairstyle (I have a whitney port like coupe, so very plain) and it stays better. Overall not a bad prodcut but don't use to much!!!!! and if you want volume, only use it on your roots and not all over hair.

This is an absolutely terrible product that made my hair a sticky, crunchy, unbrushable mess. The barely-used can of this horrid stuff went straight into the bin.

Sticky, Gummy mess. Smells and performs like cheap hairspray. I mean really cheap, gross cheap. For all the tacky, sticky stiffness, it does not actually hold my curls in any exceptional way.
I had somewhat high hopes, honestly I think the prettty blue bottle lured me in. Wish I could return it.

I have a bottle of Elnett, and while it's a good every day hairspray it's not the best for style and hold. The reason stylists use it backstage is because it can be brushed out, and then hair is redone again. It's not for an all day hold. I don't love the smell, and find it smells badddd. A lot worse than this one. This has a normal smell. The Euro Elnett is not allowed in the US due to environmental issues/chemicals. It's been reformulated for sale in the US. With this you should make sure your hair is styled the way you want it, and set it like any normal hairspray.

Don't bother with this product.

It didn't volumize my hair at all, and it made my hair a crunchy, sticky mess. It was a total disappointment.

I suspect that this is Aqua Net but in different packaging. I'm a HUGE fan of L'Oreal Elnett Satin hairspray and when I ran out and couldn't find it, I bought this. I got what I paid for. This hairspray is good for 1.) your Halloween costume as a member of an 80's hair band, 2.) hanging wallpaper, or 3.) gluing craft projects.

So...I bought this after I read all of the good reviews, but now I see that everyone has started to come to their senses. I only wish the negative reviews had come out BEFORE I wasted 5 bucks on this hairspray. It's not that it's an awful hairspray, it's just nothing special and not worth the price. It has decent hold, but it makes my hair sticky. It also has a very 'hairspray-ie' smell. Now I realize that hairspray is supposed to smell like hairspray, but some smell better (i.e. Aussie and Paul Mitchell). It's kind of hard for me to get past it. I'm not impressed. Don't waste your money.

I bought this along with the Luxurious Volume Lavish Lift Root Booster as I was on an all out attack for my hair to have more volume and body. I thought this hairspray complimented the Root Booster in terms of lift (but just a little). The biggest problem with this hairspray was that it stuck to my hair so much that when I combed or lightly brushed my hair, my HAIR WOULD PULL/COME OUT!!! Although I'm trying to give my hair more volume, my hair falling out with this hairspray stuck to it, will give me THINNER hair in the end. For hairspray, I stick to L'oreal's Elnett, European version (holds well, looks natural and you can brush your hair easily with it).

I am still using the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Lavish Lift Root Booster on it's own when I need a body "boost" and I'm quite happy with it.

I have fine (but lots of it) long (5" past shoulders), black, stick straight, Korean hair. Slightly oily scalp with dry ends. I also use: Joico K-Pak, Redken (All Soft Conditioner, Hair Cleansing Cream), along with Kerastase products (Bain Miroir Shampoos 1 & 2, MasqIntense for Thick Hair, Masque UV Defense Active, Nectar Thermique).
