When I first purchased this product I didn't fall madly in love, however now that I have finished the container I can say with all honesty, that it is a wonderful product. My hair is really wacky, and I have used many other deep conditioning treatments over the years. This one has proven to be one of my favorites. The coconut smell is tolerable, but the way this masks moisturizes my hair without weighing it down is a feat unto itself as my hair is wavy and dry...also my actual strands of hair are thin, but I have a ton of it. This is a great treatment. I liked it a hundred times better than the fruit oil jazz that Kiehl's has out right now.

This is the creme de la creme of hair treatments/conditioners in my opinion. I've tried MANY MANY conditioners over the years (LOADS of salon brands as well as drugstore brands) and no treatment/conditioner has come close to this! I used this conditioner when my hair was at it's absolute worst condition (fine, frizzy dark brown hair with blond foils for about 2 years, and in a very short time period dyed black, stripped and lightened again) and this conditioner not only made it feel soooooo soft but totally got rid of the frizz as well so that it looked like it was styled without me doing anything to it.
The only downside is the price - it's SOOOO expensive so I won't been able to repurchase for a very long time...
HIGHLY recommended if you can afford it!
Ingredients:
I don't have the package anymore but some of the ingredients are Lecithin, Panthenol, Coconut Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), and Avocado Oil

I love this. It is SILICONE-FREE. I only use a dab (I have very thick, bra-length hair) on damp hair after shampooing. That in itself is amazing because I usually need to use a ton of conditioner to cover my hair and/or get results. I leave it in about 3-5 mins and then rinse. It leaves my hair soft, shiny and healthy looking. It is 100X better than Kiehl's Intensive hair pak which is mostly lanolins. I don't know if it's the lecithin or what, in this mask, but my hair really likes it.
I'll update when I've used this more often. I've only used it 3x so far..but I'm thinking HG here. ..... UPDATE: 7/19/07. I don't think I like this as much as I did at first. The last time I used it my hair felt dry, especially the ends. Definitely not HG at this point! Taking off two lipsticks (from a 5 to a 3). Will update again later. (P.S. It's still a lot better than that crappy Intensive hair pak).

I actually really like this treatment. I shampooed my hair and left this on my damp hair for an hour and then blow-dried it. My hair was shiny and super-soft and very beautiful! I actually like the smell of it too. It's a little expensive but oh well. Ask your parents for money!

my experience with this seems to be like everyone elses. didn't moisturize and left my hair feeling very flat and greasy..which considering how thick and wavy my hair is..shouldn't be hard to do. its not worth buying for the price it cost.

This product did nothing for my thick, coarse, curly hair. It left it tangled and non manageable. I have used so many better products and much lesser costs.

I bought this product a few years back because I was in dire need of a deep conditioning mask that could rescue my overprocessed, ultrableached hair. I used to do my own highlights so my hair needed a miracle! I liked the ingredients of this product, yet whenever I used it nothing happened! Absolutely nothing! I believe it is to be used pre-shampoo, so this product in conjunction with the Amino Acid shampoo made zilch of a difference on my thick, superdry hair. Hated it, and the funky smell was enough to make me nauseous. Use Phytocitrus mask instead, your hair will be shiny and soft!

The scent is really tropical and beachy, but the product should be tossed to the sea. The only thing it did was coat my hair. Nothing's worse than flat, greasy hair. It did soften my hair though, hence the two lippies, but I won't be buying this.

I got a sample of this after purchasing another product. I thought it would be a rich, moisturizing mask - well, I was half right. It was rich but it was not moisturizing at all. My hair is fine, colored, and straight; it felt like a tangled rat's nest after using this mask. It added no moisture at all. It also coated my hair; my hair felt really gross so I had to wash it and use my regular conditioner before I could get out of the shower.

I usuaally love Kiehl's products. Most of my hg products are from them. However, I was very dissapointed with this one. Cheapo L'Oreal Nature's Therapy worked so much better. The Kiehl's cost a fortune for it to do absolutley nothing - and I left it on for an hour. It's not like my hair is really all that damaged either - just naturally dry. I'm returning it.

I use this on occassion as a moisture replenishing treat for my hair. I apply to the ends of my hair avoiding my scalp. I leave it on for about 10 minutes then I rinse it off. I noticed my hair is shiner, softer, and smells really good. I colored my hair last week so it is a bit dry. this restored moisture and my hair looks great!

At first I was pretty pleased with it. I tried it on my just-past-the-shoulders, fine strawberry blonde curls and it turned them soft and defined. HOWEVER, a few weeks and several uses later, my hairdresser, family, and I all noticed a strange greenish tint in my hair. It was only on the back of my hair, where I apply the conditioner. I don't go swimming and we don't have chlorine, iron, or manganese in our water. Also, this was the only thing to have changed in my routine. Since I've stopped using it and applied Elucence Volume Clarifying Shampoo, the green tint is gone and hasn't come back. I would ONLY recommend this to darker haired people.

Although this product is very expensive, especially in Canadian dollars, it's a real HG product for me. Like a previous reviewer, I have fine colour-treated hair that is prone to frizziness.
Many conditioners weigh my hair down, but this one makes my hair tangle-free and leaves it feeling nourished. I use a very small amount, and only on the bottom half of my hair - never at the roots. I leave it in for about 5 minutes, then rinse. I do not use this product very often - maybe once a week at most. My hair doesn't need anything more than that. And did I mention the scent?!?! SIMPLY WONDERFUL. Creamy with a hint of coconut. Will definitely repurchase.

This weighed down my hair and felt "coating" to the point where it took a couple of shampoos before returned to normal. For the amount of money that I paid for this, that was not the end result that I was looking for everytime I use it.
Will stick to my Kerastase.

I LOVE this product! I must admit, the price kept me from trying it at first but the salesgirl made me a sample and I was in the next day to buy it after trying it. My hair is fine, thin, highlighted, long & prone to frizz. This stuff leaves it shiny, soft, frizz free and very healthy looking, without weighing it down at all, and I do not rinse for a long time, either. In my HG arsenal.

Don't know if I'm using this right.. but I slather this on for 5 mins, then rinse out. It has a nice, thick consistency.. but it does absolutely NOTHING for my hair. In fact, it leaves it really tangled, because I use it in place of a conditioner and it really doesn't condition my hair at all. Not happy.

I had gotten my hair highlighted and I hated it. I decided to try to "fix" the color myself with an over the counter hair dye and it looked worse than before. Long story short I have colored my hair THREE times in one week and y hair was soooo lacking in shine and felt a bit dry. I bought this product and used it and my hair feels so SOFT!!! I have a bit of a shine in my hair again. I believe this product does weight your hair down a bit (not too much). I would not recommend this product to those with fine hair (perhaps just use is on your ends only). I have thick, somewhat coarse, hair.

This product did not work too great for me. It left my hair feeling heavy and greasy. And believe me, I definitely rinsed for a long time. I tried it on a few occasions and each time, the product did not impress me very much.

This is one item in my Holy Grail arsenal. I love the way this deep conditioner feels on my hair and what an hour under a heatcap with this stuff does is nothing short of a hair miracle. I don't even think it's really expensive for the amount you get.
