LOVE THIS!!! I have really long thick hair that used to take forever to dry. Ever since I got this hair dryer, it has cut my drying time in half. I'd had mine for four years now and it still works like a charm. I use it with Fekkai Glossing system and all I have to do it dry my hair and it looks fabulous!!!

AMAZING. I have had mine for about 4.5 years. After tax, shipping and duty, I paid a ridiculous price, almost $275 CAD, but it was worth every penny. I know the prices have come down now, thank goodness. But it works the same as when I first got it, my hair is so much less frizzy than it used to be and it dries my hair quickly. If I ever had to replace, I would buy this brand again in a heartbeat.

I returned the Sedu 6000 and exhanged it for this. What a waste of time! No different! I am utterly disappointed with quality and don't quite understand how anyone can rate this highly. I am returning the blowdryer!

Worth every penny! I wish I had known about this years ago. I've never been able to duplicate a salon blowout at home, even though I've used all the same products. Now I know it's not the products, it's the tools! Here's my review of my drugstore dryer vs. Sedu Revolution, styled with no product just to see what the dryers alone could do. (I have long, fine, thick wavy hair that is color treated.)

Drugstore Dryer: Conair Ion (this is better than most other drugstore dryers I've owned)
Lightweight, but long and unwieldy. Awkward to maneuver. Concentrator nozzle too big -- allows lots of air to blow around on sections I'm not working on. Cool shot takes a long time to actually turn cool. I could get hair fairly straight, but had some frizz. Hair got stringy really fast -- had to brush often but went right back to stringy. No shine, rough texture. By day 2, waves were back plus frizzy & puffy.

Sedu Revolution 4000i: Comes with 2 concentrator nozzles -- one wider than the other. Both much smaller than drugstore version, so air stays where you want it. I use the smaller one. Nozzles fit tight -- won't fall off. It's heavier than the Conair, but honestly I haven't noticed any issues with weight. It's 1.4 pounds. Either I'm strong or it dries my hair so fast I don't have time to feel the weight. This dryer is short and compact. I love that! I can point it in any direction all around my head and it never feels awkward -- even in the back. Air flow is tremendous! I use low fan and low heat settings and it dries my hair fast. Usually two passes on a section will dry it.

Placement of buttons is fine for me. Haven't accidentally turned anything off or on, and I like the cool shot button placement because it's easy to reach. You have to press hard, so I haven't accidentally turned it on. Cool shot turns cool much faster than drugstore and it's colder air. Without product, hair was straight. Not 100% frizz-free, but maybe 90%. Hair was shiny, and so soft I could hardly keep my hands off it. Never got stringy -- hardly had to brush at all. By day 2, still straight and shiny, no frizz, no stringiness. Later blowouts w/ a leave-in conditioner eliminated frizz. I don't need any other heat tools -- this alone works great on my hair. Also recommend 100% boar bristle brush for my hair type.

I love, love, love this dryer and have no regrets about the cost. My hair looks so different -- it really looks like I just came from the salon all the time. I got it from Folica.com and they have a special now -- buy 2 items and get an additional 20% off. I bought a hairbrush and got both the dryer and brush for $138.

I bought this dryer during a Folica sale after reading some board reviews of it (in particular by MiaMoore), and I love it! I think the ion generator really calms down the frizz and poofiness of my wavy hair. It's much smoother & shinier than usual.

The dryers I've used in the past include the T3 (have only borrowed not owned), Babyliss (owned), and SuperSolano (owned). They were all incredibly 'meh' in comparison to the Sedu Revolution.

The only downside is that it doesn't dry any faster than with any of my old dryers, but it also doesn't dry any slower. It might speed up if I use the hotter setting, but I'd rather not because I don't want to totally fry my hair.

I really like the compact style of the dryer too. It's pretty much perfect!

Bought this from Folica where they rated it number 1 (naturally, it is the most expensive). Over-researched hair dryers, and, fatigued, finally just caved for the Sedu.

Previously had been using the Hot Tools hair dryers supplied by my health club -- holding one in each hand, using both at the same time (!) -- quite a spectacle --in an effort to reduce the time to dry my chin length fine but thick hair. The new Sedu (just one) dries more hair more quickly than the two simultaneous Hot Tools. The Sedu does not blow as hot-- may-be even as hot -- but emits a much stronger rush of air. And the ions or the tourmaline must really do something -- my hair seems smoother and straighter.

This thing is expensive-- about $120 with a $40 coupon. That's why I am giving it 4 rather than 5 lip pies. I cannot tell whether it is "real" better than its nearest competitors, not having tried them and so rather suspect it is not good "value for money". But it is good. I really do like it. It makes it so much less of an effort to wash and dry my hair every day. It really is so much better than the cheap dryers. Defies belief, really.

I am not comparing this to a drugstore dryer. I am comparing it to my experience with other, comparable high end models. I have owned the CHI Turbo (B) $119, CHI Rocket $125, T3 Evolution (A-) $200. What I look for is something that gives me a quick, 15 MIN salon blowout without damaging my hair over the long run. I bought my CHI Turbo, and sold it when I went away from blow drying. Then regretted it. I purchased a T3 which is amazing for shiny beautiful healthy blow dried hair, but it broke (within warranty). TWICE. So then I purchased the CHI Rocket - which works great - but over time I think its more damaging to hair (I didn't realize it didn't have tourmaline - only ceramic).



I purchased the Sedu 4000i from Folica.com due to the strong ratings and the fact that this dryer was the best comparison I could find to the T3 (6 speed/heat settings, tourmaline, ceramic, and ionic. The list price was $156 but after a coupon I paid about $135.


Results: Shiny, straight, happy hair. I blew my medium length hair out in 15 minutes with a Denman brush. Doesn't frizz up immediately after. Doesn't leave little broken hairs around the sink or in the brush. And after a few blowouts over the past month, I think that the results will remain consistent. Only time will tell if it isn't too damaging. This dryer dries at a good temperature on the first setting, and goes Dominican blowout hot on the second. I don't see myself using the 2nd too often - but its a nice option.


I am pleased so far, and think I have found my replacement dryer. I still love T3 - but got so tired of the replacement costs in the long run it wasn't really worth it. Plus I love that this dryer is very compact, fits easily in my bathroom drawer.

The only negatives are that this blow dryer really needs to come with a comb attachment, and it is heavy. It does well in reducing overall frizz in the hair, and it does dry my hair in half the time it would take my conair dryer. On average I only need to go over each section four-five times vs. 30 times to get a section of my hair dry.

Oh my goodness, I could marry this hair dryer. This is my first professional (non drugstore) hair dryer purchase; considering how low the price for this was on folica.com (i paid about $120), it was completely worth the extra money. It is even smaller than I thought it would be (very cute), with a long, heavy industrial cord. The dryer itself is also heavier than it's small size would indicate; but hey, it's a good workout for the arms. Hair dries so fast that you'll be done before you are that tired, anyway.

My asymmetrical chin-length bob would normally take about 20 mins to dry completely (I have thick, unruly hair), and after drying my hair would be dense, poufy, and starched-out. This little guy dried me completely in about ten minutes, and I needed only to use my fingers (no round blow out brush) to get my hair sleek and straight with all the ends behaving (slight curl under --not flipping out). WOW. My hair feels so silky and shiny and light; it has that "swish" to it that I used to only get when I went to the salon. This also seems to help cut down on frizz and static; it's a humid, pouring rain day outside and the hair I blew out last night still looks fab.

I'm sure the Redken Smooth Down products I'm also using (especially the Heat Glide) are helping to give me these results, but I was using those products with my previous dryer and my hair turned out nothing like this. Happy, happy with this dryer.

It really does cut the frizz by like 90%!!!

This hair dryer is a game changer. After reading lots of reviews, I bit the bullet and got one. It is the Ferrari of hair dryers -- it dries my hair so fast. It also makes it shiny (reflective, even) and sleek. No other dryer I've ever had left my hair looking like this.

My mother also got one based on my recommendation, and now she won't use anything else. It has made a big difference in both of our hair -- so much healthier than with drugstore dryers!!

My only complaint is that I wish a normal diffuser would work on it. It seems like it needs a special one, which I have yet to get because I would have to order it online. But otherwise -- fantastic!

When my dear old T3 Evolution died on me recently and an Ulta opened in my area, I decided to do a little shopping around before I settled on a new dryer. I decided to try out some of the more expensive, highest rated dryers as well as some of the cheaper but still highly rated ones. I figured that whichever ones I didn't like I'd just return to the store.


Well, add me to the list of people who don't get what the big deal is about the Sedu Revolution. It is a cute dryer, but as many have said, it is heavy and noisy, and you would think that it'd be lighter than other dryers considering how small it is. It also failed to straighten, smooth and impart shine to my hair anywhere near as well as the T3. For that kind of money I think a dryer should excel at all those things, otherwise, I'd be just as happy with a $30 Conair Professional (the orange one). Seriously, there was no difference between the Conair and the Sedu. So if you want to save money and don't need something that provides extra smoothing and shine go with the Conair and save your money.


My little experiment showed me that despite great reviews, other expensive professional dryers still can't compare with the T3. If you have fine to medium textured, straight to wavy, relatively smooth hair without much frizz, then the Sedu Revolution will be just fine for you. But if you're like me and have medium to coarse textured, dry, unruly, frizzy, poofy, curly hair that needs extra straightening and silkening to look presentable to the world, do yourself a favor and don't buy the Sedu Revolution.


I thought that the increased power of the Sedu would help to dry my hair faster but found that instead it made my hair more aerated and overworked and therefore more poofy and dull than I wanted it to be. Really - I did a test and dried one side of my head with the T3 and one with the Sedu and the difference was unbelievable. The T3 side was smooth, silky and straight while the Sedu side looked dull, poofy and frizzed. Plus the Sedu did not straighten as well as the T3 either despite using all the techniques my stylist taught me.


So to those who dis the T3 because of lack of power, realize that it makes up for that with a technology that smooths and shines the hair. If it had more power it might end up making your hair more poofy, dull and overworked like the Sedu Revolution. Needless to say I've gone back to the T3 and have not looked back.

I don't blow dry my hair regularly, but I love using this dryer when I do. I have really fine wavy/curly hair with TONS of frizz. I use this with a diffuser attachment and it sets my curls very nicely. It works quickly and really makes my hair shine.

I love that this dryer has an extra long cord. I find this so useful because the outlet I use is far away from a mirror. It does have a few cons though. Despite being fairly small, it's heavy! Seldom do I put the effort into round brushing my hair but when I do, it's tiring on the arms. Also, I don't see the difference between the ionic setting and the normal setting.

Overall, I'm pleased that I bought this even if I don't use it a ton. It's a solid product to have on hand when I feel like putting in more effort :P

This dryer is amazing! Before using this dryer, I'd only used cheap ones like Andis. I have natural, unprocessed 4a/b hair and my hair would take forever to dry. The motor of the Andis would stop running every 5 minutes or so and the dryer would get extremely hot. After the whole ordeal, my hair -- especially my ends -- would feel dry and crunchy.

This Sedu dryer however, works so fast. It doesn't get extremely hot but does the job even better. My hair feels smooth and moisturized afterwards. I love it!

I don't get the big deal with this thing. I had high hopes, but for the price, it just doesn't out perform my Conair to justify keeping it. Its the heaviest little thing- I have to keep switching arms when I use it. I wouldn't mind this if it made my hair nice, but it really didn't. I actually found my hair to have more damage after using this for 2 weeks. Even on low heat, it gets very hot--it burnt my scalp more than once so you have to be sure you keep moving it around. The cool shot doesn't get all that cool and is in a really awkward place. It did dry my hair a bit faster, however, it's not worth the damage to my hair or my burnt scalp. This thing is being returned.

This Sedu far exceeded my expectations. After scrutinizing the reviews on Folica I purchased it for $140 and received a free Sedu straight iron valued at $60. What a deal!
This outperforms my T3. By a mile, at the least! Yes, it's compact. Yes, it feels weighty, but that is because its size is smaller. You have an option for yes for ionizing or no for not. And I swear, I never have to flat iron my bob again. It's shiney, smooth, and keeps flyaways to a minimum! There's fast speed and low speed. I save lots of minutes of blow-drying time even on the low speed.

I don't really get what the big deal is with this hair dryer. First of all, it's advertised as being lightweight and compact but it's the heaviest hair dryer I've ever owned. I've had it for about 6 months now so I've gotten used to it but my arm still gets tired after a while. Also, I'm used to the hairdryers that fold up and are truly "compact." This one doesn't, so it takes up a lot of space on my bathroom counter. Plus, it's loud! And, perhaps most annoying to me--the "cool" air button doesn't stay down on its own, you have to hold it down to use. I like using cool air during the summer, so it gives me a thumb cramp when I have to press it down the entire time.
The good things are that it does dry my hair quicker. I *might* have noticed an improvement in my hair quality but I can't tell for certain. Overall, it's a decent hair dryer but not worth the $ in my opinion, and when it's time to replace I will look elsewhere.

I got Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic GREEN TGR 3600 Hair Dryer. I couldn't find that on this site, so since the listed item is similar I will review here. The only difference I can see is the one I am reviewing is 1600 watts and the one listed here is 1800 watts.

Anyway. I like it. Not as noisy as other hair dryers, gets pretty warm, leaves my hair soft and silky and relaxes my wavy hair. My hair looks healthy and not dead from all the bleach damage.

I only disliked the price. I'm cheap. 140.00 is too much for a freaking hair dryer :(

I felt pretty bad about buying this hair dryer, when I had a perfectly working Babyliss HD and 2 other travel dryers at home already . However, I was looking for something not as long or as heavy; in order for me to do my "Do" a little easier.
I just received it, and have only had the opportunity to examine it. I am little taken back how heavy it is. It is very compact, which I like, but it seems heavier than 1.2lbs it advertised. Regardless of this fault, it still seems like a very well built and a very cool functioning hair dryer. So far, I would say this is definitely a step-up, from my old Babyliss.
Update: I am not in love, but it is definitely better than what I had before. The shorter nozzle really gives me more control over my styling.
Update2: I really like this one, after I was able to get over the weight of this compact; which makes it a bit odd to handle at first. I might just ditch my travel dryer when I am on the road. Oh, and I recently saw this dryer being used by Nick on WNTW; so it must be good.
