I didn't like this mascara at all. The bristles aren't long enough to catch my lashes. Basically it just globbed on mascara and turned my eyelashes into a big fat clumpy mess.

I used this back in the day. I repurchased a couple of times - between the waterproof and regular. I liked it but eventually I moved on and found out it wasn't anything great. I don't remember thinking it was horrible like many say but yeah I agree it wasn't anything I'd repurchase or recommend now having tried better brands.
I'd suggest maybelline's mascaras any day over Revlon's.

I don't like this at all.
I was excited to use it, but the brush is just pathetic, its like, just crap.
If you try to apply a lot of coats, it clumps.
After wearing this for 5 minutes? it started to flake and kept getting into my eye, it irritated my contacts as well and was a hell of an annoying mascara.
Now its kept in some draw I don't even bother looking in.
Cost me $12 NZD on sale.

This mascara has a really bad brush. The bristles are tiny, and you end up with gobs of thick mascara on it when you pull it out. Even if you scrape some off, you'll end up with clumped together, messy looking lashes. They should consider reworking the brush.

This mascara is indescribably awful. i purchased it thinking it would be a really innovative and unique mascara. I got home and tried it... and... let's just say it looked like i had two wide eyelashes. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY THIS. It's literally the WORST mascara I've ever tried, and I've tried a lot. The "3-D" is a total gimmic. The only cool thing it does is make all your lashes stay together. definition? HA. DO NOT BUY!! unless you like clumped lashes.

I bought this at CVS at 75% off so it was less than $2.00. I can't understand all the bad reviews. I really like this mascara! I'll admit it's not the best, but I still like it. It makes my lashes long, thick and black. Good purchase.

Like so many others who have already commented, I wish I'd been practical enough to check this site first. Never before have I been so disgusted with a cosmetic, and especially one made by Revlon. I bought this as a 'last chance' item from a local Walgreen's store and promptly threw it away after just one use. The wand that comes with the mascara is no where near as large as the one pictured and it was completely coated with mascara when I removed it from the tube. I thought that perhaps I could brush enough off onto the side of the tube to make it work for me, but it was impossible -- my eyelashes (and I use an eyelash curler beforehand) were stuck together in huge, flaky clumps; the ones that didn't clump resembled fuzzy spider legs poking out from my eyes. Without a doubt, one of the worst mistakes Revlon has ever made and an even bigger one on my part for purchasing this junk.

Ugh. This is definitely one of the WORSE mascaras EVER.
The opening of the tube is completely too big, so when you pull the brush out, NO excess product comes off. None. So you are left with a big goopy mess on the wand. I don't see what the point of the unique brush design is, if the bristles are completely obscured by gobs of mascara. Also, the mascara itself is too thick and chunky, and it clumps like mad. To top it all off, it totally flakes more than any mascara I've ever used. Honestly. I have no clue HOW the people at Revlon approved this product to be sold. wtf. Did they even test it at all??? I don't see they could have. No way. This mascara is hardly usable, if at all. So yeah, to put it kindly, this mascara SUCKS.

Before I review any mascaras today, I want to point out what I want in a mascara. I already have long lashes, and I don't want them to be too thick, otherwise, I look like a weird doll. Therefore, I just want a non-clumpy, non-flaky, buildable mascara that defines my lashes without too much thickening, separates my eyelashes, and has a small enough brush so that I don't have to do weird contortions to apply it. I also want it to not smudge much during the day, but I don't want waterproof. I also have fairly sensitive eyes, so it has to not irritate. I also tend to buy mini mascaras because I don't use them all the time.
So, this mascara...lovely looking tube. That is about all. I don't know if it's the formula or the weird brush, but it clumped all over the place, I couldn't separate even with another brush. Talk about overly thickening. I felt like I had a sheet of mascara across the top of my eye. At least it didn't seem to irritate my eyes, which is a plus, but I can't even use it. Tammy Faye Baker lashes on steroids, that is all I can say. I would give it one more star if I can figure out how to salvage it. Otherwise, it goes in the trash.

Really pretty tube but the brush itself is awful. I scrape it along the top of the tube to get rid of most of the mascara & even then when I put it on it clumps. Smudges & some flaking.

I didn’t like this mascara at all!! It didn’t make my lashes longer, they were clumpy. Plus I have to toss it away because I think I had an allergic reaction to it. I was definitely not impressed. I liked the packaging though.

Agree! This is the worst mascara I have ever used. It is thick and goes on clumpy, takes forever with a lash comb to get to look even slightly natural and then, to top it off, flakes off almost instantaneously. I'm still looking for a comparable inexpensive mascara to replace my Lancome Definicils which is getting out of my price range for something that should be replaced every three months.

Absolute fail for Revlon. Clumpy, flaky and horrible to work with. I needed to use a mascara comb for nearly 5 minutes of steady work just to get an effect I wasn't embarrassed to go outside with. And it didn't look natural. Sorry, worst mascara I've ever purchased.

omgggg! i cant believe this product got such low ratings! The first time i ever used this was when i randomly found this in my moms make up drawer and decided to steal it and try it out. Once i started using it, ive been buying it ever since! I love how it makes my lashes look like they have volume and also making them look long and thick.
I gave it a 4/5 just because i can relate, it IS thick and it does leave little clumps in your lashes, thats why i never use this mascara buy itself because it does leave little clumps so i even it out with maybelline right after.
I usually put one coat of the 3D on my lashes and smooth out the clumps with Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Blackest black (the famous green and pink mascara!) The maybelline helps to lenghten my lashes. but the 3D makes my eyelashes stand out like crazy, making them thick and have volume!! I cant believe it got very low ratings....!

well i bought it after seeing that it can be used on sensitive skin i cannot wear every other products available on shelf well the mascara makes my eye lash visible a bit i have very small lashes but becoz my skin is combination the wash proof mascara seems to smudge under the lower eyes in hot humid conditions the mascara is a little flaky that is the wirst part but i like the brush because it reaches the eyelashes but in the long run i would try something new

Like many of the other reviewers, I was a bit perplexed by the brush... if you can call it that, even. It looks like a thicker brush used for volumizing mascara was cut down to as short as it could go, then deposited in the tube.
There's no way a brush that small - with hardly any bristle to it - could deliver on this mascara's promises to lengthen, curl and volumize lashes. I'm considering trying a different mascara wand to see if it makes any difference, but so far? I'm not impressed.
I also noticed that this mascara doesn't hold curl (I curl my lashes before applying) and flakes off really easily. I itched my eye lightly and my hand came away covered in black flecks.
Definitely NOT a re-purchase. I wish I could take it back! The one thing I actually liked was the cool design on the lid... but that's not enough to make up for the epic product fail.

I use other Revlon eye products such as eyeshadows, pencil liners and liquid liners, and they are all great, so I expected the same quality from their mascara. I was VERY BADLY MISTAKEN! This is by far the worst mascara I have ever purchased!!! The entire process of applying mascara should not take more than 3-4 minutes but with the 3D, it's a 20-minute affair, at best. The mascara clumps A LOT, the brush is extremely difficult to handle and straight up sucks...just DO NOT BUY THIS!

EDIT; the review below was written yesterday. i returned it to cvs today in exchange for something else. the mascara wand looks nothing like the one pictured on the packaging, nor does it fit the description accurately on the back of the packaging.
just got this today at cvs, bogo (got colorstay active foundation too and really needed a new mascara), bought it because of the deal. there was only one other mascara option by this brand in the store. i should have gotten that one i fear;(
i think the instructions (um yeah, never needed those before on a mascara, like shampoo, i think i have the idea by now, thank you very much!;o) are too confusing. i could not believe how different the brush looked given the instructions either. i expected to see short bristles on one side, sure, but um, they don't seem apparent at all. just like you took a mascara wand, the regular spoolie kind, and then shaved the bristles off on each side and left the other sides intact. you have to wipe off most of the product off the wand to see the small bristles and kinda, maybe, get the idea behind this.
i got waterproof as i use eye drops throughout the day. i tried this when i got home and felt sucker punched, why didnt i get a regular, tried and true mascara?! it seemed ok, but i didnt use it as instructed, deposit product with short bristles, then comb through with long. i had expected the long bristles to actually be long and even more comb like. i may turn out to love this, who knows? only time will tell and because of my budget i am gonna "make" this work! but i am kicking myself for not getting the other. with all the great innovations in mascara wands recently, you have to wonder how this got past test markets and on the market itself.
if packaging matters to you (as long as its functional, it means nothing to me and this is that), this reminds me of something in a toolbox with a stainless steel look.
