I have been battling acne ever since I was in my early twenties and everything either works for the first week and then stops working or breaks me out terribly right away. I started using this three step program in the beginning of January and my skin cleared-up almost immediately. I thought great, now what will happen? My skin was soft and my break-outs shrunk dramatically. And then it hit. The biggest, baddest, most painful cystic pimple. I knew that it was too good to be true. But, you know what happened? I kept using the product and within two days, the big, painful, swollen cyst was gone without a trace. Now, these kind of pimples usually last for weeks, if not months! I was impressed. It has been over a month and I've had pimples come and go very quickly, and my break-outs are getting less and less severe. I hardly recognize my skin. Even if I keep breaking out, the fact that the break-outs last for only a few days before healing- this to me is success! I highly recommend this product.
I am on the 7, 40, 32 system and I use all three products in the morning and in the evening I use the cleanser and the toner and then use the on-the-spot acne gel on my individual break-outs. I had purchased the oil-free skin smoother but I think that is what was causing the cysts. Since discontinuing use of that moisturizer, I've had much smaller, non-cystic break-outs.
editing: The company kept running out of my cleanser and sent me a salicylic based cleanser and my acne cysts came back with avengence!!! after four months without the correct cleanser I discontinued the program and am now on the hunt for a good replacement cleanser. too bad because it worked!!

I'm 23 and have been fighting acne since the age of 11. I've tried amost every prescription, OTC acne meds, mineral makeup, organic treatments and have also been on proactiv for about 2 years. NOTHING worked and my skin was always dry, flaky, oily, red and pimply....all at the same time! i would almost never be without makeup and would never let my fiance see me with bare skin. After hearing about skinID from a friend i decided to try it. Let me tell you...this is a mirace product! I didnt see a change over night but after about 2 months i can't believe this skin belongs to me. I no longer break out! the texture of my skin is remarkable and the scaring has faded dramatically. I HIGHLY recommend this product!!!!!!!!!!!..TRY IT..and stick with it. It really does work!

I like this product and the skinID regimen I was given (14.32.72) HOWEVER as others have said, you can find pretty much the EXACT SAME PRODUCTS FROM NEUTROGENA IN THE DRUGSTORE FOR MUCH CHEAPER!
I used the Acne Stress Control line before and it was pretty good too. I just compared the ingredients of the cream cleanser from that line (you can find the ingredients at drugstore.com) with the more expensive (and smaller bottle) skinID cleanser and THE INGREDIENTS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME except for the fact that the Acne Stress Control one contains artificial color (red & blue lakes) and cucumber/camellia extracts. Very minor differences that I don't think change the performance of the product or warrant such a price difference!
Basically NEUTROGENA ACNE STRESS CONTROL CREAM CLEANSER ($6-8, drugstores) = NEUTROGENA skinID CREAM CLEANSER #14 !!!!
They also have a 'hydrator' in the Acne Stress Control line which I think could easily be a substitute for the skinID #72 hydrator.
Needless to say I will be cancelling my skinID membership since I can get the same products at the drugstore for around half the price (and the drugstore cleanser is 6oz while skinID is only 4oz).
Neutrogena really does work well for my acne... it's what I used when I had problem-free skin so returning to it seemed logical and it gives great, fast results.
But I suggest if you like your skinID products, you go to drugstore.com and look up similar products from Neutrogena, as you may well find that you can find nearly identical products at the drugstore for much cheaper!

After struggling with mild acne since a young age, I've managed to try just about every product out there. Most products have extremely harsh ingredients on my very very dry, sensitive skin. I've tried proactive, which destroyed my skin. Every product, even other neutrogena products, made my skin peel and flake. It was hard to apply foundation with my dry skin and the products made that worse. (And the chemical smell to other products were terrible). I saw SkinID on a commercial and thought it was a very innovative idea .. to give people acne products based on their individual circumstances, rather than treated everybody's skin with the same harsh ingredients. I gave it a whirl. SkinID's Cream Cleanser #14 does have 2% of Salicylic Acid (bleh .. ) but atleast its not Benzoyl Peroxide like proactive. This cleanser was the first to smell great. It smells like kiwi or some sort of fruit. It does not leave that tightening feeling after using. I was very shocked how this cream started working the first night I used it. I noticed a difference right away. My skin has never looked so flawless - without makeup. The price (50$ for the kit) is a bit expensive, but completely worth it. The only thing I do not like about this product is its inability to thoroughly clean off makeup. Overall I suggest people with sensitive, acne prone skin (oily or dry) should deff. invest in the kit or atleast the cleanser.

I have has sensitive, acne prone skin since I was a teenager. The problem seemed to get under control once I went on the pill 12 years ago. Recently, due to lack of health insurance, I've had to go off the pill and, sadly, my horrible acne has returned. Out of desperation I ordered this product because I figured Neutrogena is a respected name in the industry. When it arrived, I was happy with the colorful packaging and the free travel bag (you choose from 3 colors). I've been using this stuff for 2 weeks now and have not seen an improvement. So far, it just dries out my skin and makes it feel tight. My acne is just as bad as when I began the treatment. I called tonight to cancel and the woman said that "that's how the product works -- your acne will get worse before it gets better because it's bringing all the bacteria to the surface". She told me that it sometimes takes up to 8 weeks to work. I don't know if I'm convinced. I'll try it for a little while longer but I am not expecting any miracles. I would suggest that you save your money if you're thinking about this product!

This is a fantastic product!!! This is a review for the whole line. I am a 14, 32, 53. I decided to give this a try since nothing else seemed to be working. I honestly didn't have much high hopes for this product, but it showed me. This actually works, and has cleared up my skin. I have very sensitive dry skin, and this doesn't cause any irritation, or dryness at all. I have been using this for 2 months. I just hope it keeps working for the long haul.

I decided to try the SkiniD system because I've been getting some acne lately. I have combination skin which is oily in the T-zone. I'm on the fence about this cleanser. First, it's only a 4 oz. tube, so that doesn't seem like it's worth the money (it's almost $47 for the whole set. I also got a 2 oz. acne treatment and package of 60 treatment pads).
The cleanser is a standard cream cleanser, although it feels slightly "lighter" than others I've tried in the past. It leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed, and doesn't dry out my dry areas. The product contains 2% salicylic acid, which is very common in cheaper, drugstore products.
However well it performs, I cannot stand the smell of this one! I don't know how to describe the scent, but it lingers for hours, even after I moisturize with a non-Neutrogena lotion. I'm not usually sensitive to fragrance, but I hate this one.
I've done some research and I can get equivalent products to all three SkiniD products from a local drugstore for much less money. Because of the price, and the scent of all the products, I will not try them again.
Update: It also doesn't remove all of my makeup. I use Neutrogena's Skinclearing foundation, and a little powder to set it, and this cleanser didn't remove it all.
