Love this cream! I have super dry skin so it doesn't sit greasy on the top of my skin, it soaks in nicely and unlike other creams doesn't leave my face quickly feeling like I haven't moisturised. Doesn't make me break out, although I've only had the odd few pimples throughout my life, I've only just used up my first pot after having it for around a year, you really don't need much to do the job and I use it every night. Although the jar is glass, the amount of times I've dropped it and it hasn't smashed, I'm very pleased with haha. My favourite cream by far! I won't stop using this cream until the rapture. Wouldn't recommend for oily or combination skin though, it is very heavy.

This is my HG night moisturizer! I think they changed the name to "aqua effect nourishing night cream". I found this about 2 years ago? Have been using this since then. I have very dry skin, this is the only moisturizer I found would do the job. I tried Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Caudalie and other high end and low end moisturizers for DRY skin, none of them worked well... Especially when I wake up in the morning, most of other ones make me feel I woke up in the desert... Only Nivea leaves my skin so soft and still moisturized in the morning. This is probably the only thing makes me believe cheap price doesn't mean bad quality. I think I'll buy this forever...

I have oily/combo skin with mild acne, normally youd think I should stay away from a product as heavy and rich as this but surprisingly it hasnt broken me out! it is greasy at first but by the morning my skin is soft and supple and less oily throughout the day. i use a very strong face mask (the aztec indian healing clay) that leaves my skin raw, red and very sensitive but after applying this my skin is never dry or flaky and overall in much better condition. i use it every night with an oil balancing moisturiser in the day as ive found using too many oil control mattifying products day and night does worse for my skin than better. its around $10 at priceline which is pretty cheap for aus standards.

Would i buy this product again... NO! the product is extremely thick and leaves a horrid oily residue on the face. it also made me spotty :( sad face!
it was partly my fault as i saw it was the cheapest item! the ingredients aren't particularly pleasant. even if you had very very dry skin i believe this would not be the best product - in fact, nivea naturals is a much better night cream.

I broke out in a rash of red pimples the day after I used this product. I used both a serum (Olay) and this so I thought I moisturized too much. I used it a second time and only had one small pimple the next day. The third time, no pimples.
It is very rich and the smell is somewhat cloying and not pleasant, but I like it so far. A little goes a long way. I can see the small jar lasting forever. In Canada this costs more than twice the price (I bought it for $17 at the drug store), so this better work!
I'm hopeful reading all the positive reviews and will continue to use it and hope I don't break out again. I have combo skin so this cream could be a little thick for me. I used to use Vichy LiftActiv Nuit and never had a problem with that, although it was very scented and thick as well.
I would recommend this if you have very dry skin.

I have average dry skin and have been using this cream for the past 2 years. I use vit E oil on top of this night cream and I wake up with really moisturized skin and have never broken out. It's incredibly cheap and works great!

This cream is too heavy for my oily skin(made me breakout). So I am using it as cream for my dry legs.

Great moisturizer. It's really rich, so it's fantastic for dry skin. It's very heavy too. The only sort of downside is that it does have some sort of lotion or cream scent? It's not strong at all, so it doesn't bother me that much, but I like creams with no scent at all.

i bought this thinking i have dry skin, which in winter i used to get dry flaky skin around nose and chin....but realised my skin is kinda on the combination side. i use this straight after a hot shower and use a toner spritz before i apply this on before bed. really does keep ur skin smooth and supple. a little goes along way. it is very heavy, but i think all night creams are. if you have very oily skin then this product isnt for you. this is worth getting if you have very dry skin. and need a pick me up. i use this about 2/3 times a week. i think everyday would be overdoing it as its very heavy on the skin and it needs a breather sometimes. its great for winter....not sure about summers, i prefer to sleep with just a toner spritzed on my face in the summer otherwise it could feel like there's a cake sitting on your face.

GREAT!!!
I had been struggling with some stubborn dry, flakey patches on my cheeks for about 2 weeks. I tried Clinique's Dramatically Different Lotion, Pond's dry skin cream, BareMineral's cream(forget the name), honey masks, vitamin E, vaseline, exfoliating... nothing worked.
I bought this, applied 2 coats of it to my face at night and the next day, my dry flakes were smoothed out!!! You have no idea how thankful I am for this product! My skin looked as if it just drank a large glass of fresh water after walking in the desert for ages. It was so plump, rejuvenated, and smooth. It looked young and happy. And I was happy too :)
All you dry flake skin people understand my pain. Make up is disgusting when you have flaky skin. It's disgusting throughout the day when it gets flakier. It's just flat out gross. It's like dandruff on your freaking face.
It has never broken me out, but I'm not acne prone.
I am also using the day cream with SPF 15. That one has a stronger scent but I don't care, it's deliciously moisturizing, too.
THANK YOU NIVEA!
And if you have extremely dry skin, (even a little eczema, I have it on my lips) try it out. A recommendation from your fellow dry-skin sufferer!
update: Guys.... this is... such a great product.... :'(.. it's so awesome. Normally during mid-day my face gets dry and ashy and that's how it's always been, all my life, no matter how good the moisturizer i used in the morning was. Recently.. my face has stayed moisturized. It was really weird at first, actually. It felt slightly oily to me because I was expecting dryass skin. Then I realized.. this isn't oily, this is what people call "normal" skin. I have normal skin. IIIII have normal skin??!?!?!? Ridiculous. Amazing. I'm also gonna try applying this to my eczema lips, which is kinda weird, but the cream helped so much with the flakey patches on my skin, maybe it will help with my flakey lips! I will update.
update #2: i don't like it as much as i used to. it helped my lips a little bit but didn't get rid of my eczema. my skin always seems to build an immunity against products that work for me. it's good, but not gonna repurchase again because i want to try other things.

I got recommended and PUSHED to buy this product by a sales person at my local drugstore. She told me to be extremely religious with this and it will work wonders for me. I tried that. Nothing happened but small red pimples appearing on my face everytime I woke up in the morning. The scent is strong and the texture is thick and greasy. I don't continue to use this to this day. I wish I could return it, but I used it too much hoping it will work. What a sad purchase. Not happy at all!!! :(

Gross. Way too greasy for sensitive skin. And the smell, way too strong and lingers forever. Thank heavens I can take it back.

ive been using Clarins moisturizing products for a long time. but since i go through their jars in less than two months, i really couldn't afford it anymore. so after reading the reviews, i decided to try out nivea. for the price, i think it works great. its better to use in the winter since its really rich and hydrating. obviously, compare to clarins or any other upper brand, its not as good. it doesnt absorb into my skin that well, kinda sits there. and makes your face look really shiny and oily. its only my first day using it, hopefully i dont break out =S but definitely good to use in the winter time....however, better to stay away in the summer, or use just a little.
update: i stopped using it...i started to break out...wasnt too sure if it was this or something else (since i started using a different foundation)

When I first used this product, I woke up with a small pimple. I used to much. This is very rich and although my skin is very dry, it's a thick cream. I realized that I should only use a little bit. It's amazing! This jar lasts forever and you only need a little bit. OH AND it's only about $7.00 at Walmart! I like the smell and it really evened out the texture of my skin. I used to have dry patches. Another thing I noticed is that when you use this on an oily nose, it produces less oil. Moisturize your nose! When you don't, the nose is dry and produces more than the average amount of oil. I wake up with a more balanced nose and my face is soft too.

I've been through 3 bottles of this stuff and its fantastic! Using it everyday gives your skin a natural and healthy glow, NOT to mention how soft it feels to the touch! Doesn't make me break out or anything!

I purchased this in the "Light Regenerating Night Cream - Normal/Combo Skin." I have been using a retinol cream at night and have noticed over the past two weeks that my cheeks/lower jaw area are now dry and flaky. This could be due to the retinol cream, as those areas are usually normal, or perhaps it is the cold winter weather. Either way, I apply this only in that dry are after cleansing, toning and apply the retinol cream and it works beautifully at providing and retaining moisture throughout the night. I chose this version as does not contain dimethicone, like the extra dry/dry formula.
This absorbs quickly leaving a smooth surface, and has a mild scent. The heavy glass jar is nice for such an affordable cream, but unsanitary. I usually use a spatula to scoop some onto the back of my hands so as not to contaminate the entire jar. I also scoop some into small plastic pots purchased at a craft store for travelling.
So far no breakouts or added greasiness---a positive for me. Price was like pocket change, $5.99 CDN.

I have been in search of a new night cream after my beloved Dove was discontinued. This Nivea Rich Regenerating Night Cream Dry/Sensitive (along with the Light version, which I actually prefer, but more about that later) is as close to holy-grail as I’ve found yet (after trying moisturizers from L’Oreal, Garnier, Olay, Lacura & First Aid Beauty). I found this while browsing drugstore.com (where its sold exclusively). I’ve used Nivea in the past & so has my mother (who is from Germany). I’ve come to associate products made in Germany or owned by German companies to be of high quality, and I am not disappointed with any of my current Nivea products.
This face cream comes in a heavy cobalt-blue glass jar with a screw-on lid. I have no problem with the jar packaging, plus I think it just looks really nice. You get 1.7 oz. for $4-$8 depending if its on sale or not. One jar should last forever, because I only need a tiny bit, but I bought a back-up jar just-in-case.
The cream is white and the texture is thick & rich. It has the classic Nivea scent, which is kind of florally-powdery. I like it, but its definitely pretty heavily fragranced, so those with truly sensitive skin might want to beware. My skin is normal to slightly-dry and not really sensitive except for the eye area, and I use different products for my eye area anyways.
I just dab my finger in the cream & that’s enough for my whole face. It spreads easily, it absorbs okay, but it does leave a bit of a greasy film on my face, which is no problem really since I only use it at night. I have had no dry or red patches (which I am prone to in the winter) since using this cream, so it does an adequate job of moisturizing for me. I only need to rinse my face with water in the morning, and my skin seems to remain moisturized enough throughout the day.
The only thing I don’t like is that hydrogenated vegetable oil is third on the ingredients list. I suppose there are worse things I could be putting on my skin, but I can’t get it out of my head that I’m putting vegetable oil on my face. So this cream is reserved for when my skin is really dry. I purchased the Nivea Light Night Cream for Normal/Combination skin, and I much prefer the performance & ingredients in that one. While the Rich Night Cream is ‘good’, I consider the Light Night Cream ‘great’.

Fantastic product, after reading the reviews on this site , I bought a tub of the regenerating cream for normal/combination/oily skin and it is fantastic , better than any of the high end products.
