This is one of my favorite MAC pigments. The color is just a beautiful rich burgundy like color extremely pigmented. No fallout, glides on nicely, looks great when applied wet/damp. My favorite look for this is goldmine on inner lid, heritage rouge on outer half of lid blended up into crease with a little carbon blended into otter v. Just looks stunning. NW25 for ref.

I LOVE this color. It has a very high color payout though so be careful or it comes out super dark. I love to pair it with melon..they compliment each other very well. It also works as a great liner and makes blue eyes pop. I didn't have too much trouble with fallout, which is a plus because the last thing ya need is maroonish/burgundy stripes on your face.

It's a pretty color but I don't really see anything unique enough to justify the price. It's a shimmery maroon color, that I don't imagine would be too hard to duplicate.

this is a lovly colour and i love it mostly for smoky eye look, vampire sexy look, or a [sexy look using other colours] its surely great for doing a smoky look 100%. this pigment in my opinion is good for smoky look mainly. i didn't think many people would like a browinsh maroom colour, but i read reviews on this, and it seemed postive and a popular pigment. i would use as much as i can i have 7.5g jar but i don't think i would buy this again, the reason being because there are tons marooms out there, i would say it is nothing different or unusual as a pigment, but this surely is a beautiful colour itself. also this would be a great colour if you love doing arabic eye looks, it is certainly a dark colour and would crete that perfect dark arabic eye. price is fair, i never got mine from mac but i did buy from trusted seller, and it is authentic. but overall i wish mac cosmetics would bring back 7.5g so we mac lovers can buy directly from them :-( i hate the 4.5g jars.

After purchasing a sample size believing the Heritage Rouge was limited edition, I spoke with a MAC artist on their site, and found out that Heritage Rouge is a permanent PRO color. Woohoo! Full sized here I come!

This is by far the best pigment I've ever tried! The color payoff is amazing and it blends like dream. It's also a gorgeous color that can be a really dramatic rusty color or be sheered down to a nice medium brown crease color for everyday. The only thing bad I can think to say about it is that it can be a bit messy, but that's generally the nature of all loose pigments. Love it!

This pigment is just AMAZING! This is one of those pigments I really wish that I had purchased in the full size jar- Heritage Rouge is the most perfect crease or lid color. I was not interested in MAC when the Overrich collection came out, but that collection released two of my favorite pigments (the other one being Blonde's Gold) .....I recently discovered The Beauty Sampler and I purchased a huge amount of Heritage Rouge based on swatches and EOTD's I had seen on blogs. To me, this is a mixture of purple and rich burgundy- it looks gorgoeus with seriously every single color on the lid! anything from Gold to Taupe to Bronze. I normally opt for Gray, Black, or brown shadow on my crease- but as of late, I have been getting tired of that look and Heritage Rouge is the perfect change of pace. It doesn't look to bright, or to purple. If MAC ever re-released this I will be purchasing a full size. For now, I'm happy with my sample size :) luckily with MAC pigments, a little bit goes a long way.

I love Heritage Rouge! I usually wear this for a smokey eye and I always get compliments on it. It is very true to its color on my tanned skin and really makes my brown eyes pop. I would repurchase but I was lucky enough to find a jar at my CCO after I wasted my sample so hopefully it will last me a lifetime!
I wish MAC had some type of program where customers could vote for which pigments they would like to keep in the permanent collection. They always seem to get rid of the ones with the best overall ratings. Maybe to make more money on their LE sets?

I bought this last year and I love it. It can look pretty intimidating in the container (reddish purple) but if applied correctly it can really make eyes pop. I like to wear it for more sophisticated looks.

I use a brown base underneath it (MAC paint in bamboo) and it gives it a nice reddish brown hue.

A little bit of this product goes a long way. The container will last for years.

I bought Heritage Rouge recently because i read reviews about there being some similarity to Chocolate Brown, which is a staple of mine. Yes, it is a chocolate cherry combo, so if you have maroon and chocolate brown, imagine somewhere in the middle. Placing maroon and Heritage rouge side by side, you will notice that both are strikingly similar, with maroon having just a tad more red in there. Upon application to my hazel eyes, i quickly noticed that HR had less noticable red tones but wow, did it ever bring out the green in my eyes!
If maroon didn't work for you (i wasn't a fan), then don't pass up the chance to try this piggie. I promise you won't be disappointed.

This is a nice color in the jar but it makes me look like I have a bruise on my eyes. I am still learning how to work with color. It is very similar to Maroon pigment.

This was my first pigment I bought from MAC and I absolutely love it. I'd suggest this color for any asian (pakistani/indian) bride or makeup artist that works with asian brides. This looks stunning with the traditional red or burgundy wedding dress.

I was really intimidated by this product at first. Someone on YT likened it to Chocolate Brown Pigment but I really don't find that to be the case. I would describe the color as a rusty brown. On me, it's definitely a brown with strong red undertones. This turns out much more neutral on the lid than I thought and the color is actually quite versatile so that you can use it on the lips. I can also imagine it being a gorgeous nail polish color in the fall as well!! Most recently, I've been wearing this to either smudge out my eye liner (When smudged over a black pencil, it looks like Raven eye liner from MAC). OR Just as an eyeliner itself it makes my blue eyes POP. The texture of this is better than all of my other pigments. Creamy!

THis is a very out there color, it is very beautiful and very pigmented and has a lot of shine, i think it works great. ANother thing is that i occasionally forget to wear my eye primer and it stays on a long time w/o it. (most eyeshadows dont)

Heritage Rouge is Love!! This is a gorgeous deep maroon with red and brown undertones and a satin sheen. I didn't have any fallout when applying this pigment. HR on the lid, a little Smokey Topaz in the crease and Dazzleray as a highlighter is perfection. I was gazing in the mirror at my eyes all day. I love this and can't believe I swapped for a sample instead of buying a whole jar. LOVE!!!
Update: I have a full jar! One of the Macy's in my area had one jar left and held it for me. Yay!!!! I am content.

this is probably one of my favorite pigments!! i love pigments and this is probably the smoothest one to work with. It is very finely milled and a little goes a very long way. It looks great for a smokey eye and i love using it in the crease. the color is fantastic and can be combined with so many colors. Great for fall and worth the money.

Whenever I wear this pigment, here's what I tend to hear:

"Oh I love your purple eyeshadow! Or... wait... is it... brown? Red?"

I love it. This color has so much depth. I would describe it as a deep maroon with noticeable purple undertones. It does remind me a little of Chocolate Brown, but with more red/purple. I love to pair this with a peachy champagne color on my lid, and this in my outer corner/crease. I get so many compliments on this look, and it's so simple. It is also very finely milled so it goes on smoothly and blends with ease.

I think this color would work for anyone -- warm toned, cool toned, blue eyes, brown eyes, ,and everything in between! It's so gorgeous it compliments everyone :) My new favorite pigment.

The only reason I took off one lippie is because, when I opened my brand new pigment from CCO it was only about half full. I know there is settling but that just seems a little much to me. I've noticed other reviewers have mentioned the same thing.

I love the color of this pigment! it is absolutely beautiful for fall. Very similar to Cranberry eyeshadow. This looks GORGEOUS on top of a black base. I use blackground paint pot for a smokey eye. it's soo pretty and intense... but i need to find a way to wear this during the day... not sure what other combos i can do with this... ideas anyone? i am dying to wear this for a day time look

I really love this pigment! I saw Zoffe use it in one of her tutorials and I just HAD to have it. I am very pale with red hair and brown eyes and this pigment is perfect for me. It really reminds me of the 1940's, am I the only one that thinks that way?

I use this pigment a lot for really quick looks. It is really versatile. I just throw it on over top of Embark eye shadow *from MAC* with a little of the new Young Punk from Style Black and it is really pretty. It is beautiful all on it's own. You barely need to use any of it as well, which is the case with MAC pigments that have this texture. It is kinda frosty but it isn't really sheer at the same time but you can build it up and it is super easy to blend. This stuff is like butter. Certainly my favorite texture of pigment.

I want to test it out over some different bases to see I can really bring the red out in it. Someone mentioned putting it over a lavender base? I will have to get the same NYX product to give it a try *Really liking NYX, I know it can be hit or miss but I like their stuff thus far!*

Anyways, beautiful, versatile product. I don't think I will have to purchase it again but if I did, I would for sure.
