I love this product.I'm not using this to get rid of blemishes or anything like that. It's just a good all round exfoliator. It has improved the texture of my skin, areas where I had redness. My skin tone is more even. I find it to be very gentle. If you're skin is already good , this will keep it that way.It 's VERY easily absorbed so it's easy to follow with serum and moisturiser if needed.I do as my skin is mature.I use this maybe 3 times a week and the 10% weekly resurfacing AHA once a week.I find this combination to be very effective. I don't believe in exfoliating daily(I know we are all different). But I feel skin needs to go through the natural renewal process and over exfoliating can do more harm than good. But this product is excellent in my opinion and I will continue to use.

I love this BHA. It doesn't cause me to break out (big requirement for liking a product), and it definitely helps to keep my skin clear. It's very important to use a very small amount, though, because if you use too much, it could make you break out.

I have loved this for years. I have an oily t-zone with large pores and I hate to think what they would look like if I didn't use this product. It declogs and refines very well. It also causes no irritation. I use it on my bikini area and legs to prevent ingrown hairs as I have those areas waxed and it keeps these areas smooth.
The packaging is iffy and can leak so if you are traveling bring a ziplock bag!

I love this stuff.
Did take a bit of adjusting too. I tend to think of my skin as more problematic than it probably is so ordered the 2% instead of the 1% BHA. Also began using this in the midst of last winter (pour liquid onto cotton ball and use like a toner). For about a week or so I found it to be drying then I switched to 1x every other day (in place of everyday) except for t-zone which I did every day. When summer came I upped it to everyday, sometimes 2x a day for bad areas.
This is amazing stuff for me. I have an oily t-zone and not very sensitive skin. If I have a zit popping up I apply this up to 2x a day and it prevents it from going further, decreases redness, puffiness, etc. Very strong, very good product. I'm on my second bottle and have no complaints with the actual product.
The packaging the second time was a bit of a problem as the foil seal leaked some product in the zippie bag that the bottle was enclosed in. Not much and not a mess do to the zippie bag.

I had serious outbreak after using this exfoliate for a month. In the initial stage I was not aware is this product that cause me such breakouts but after I stop using this exfoliate my outbreak stops so I believe this is the culprit. I'm so disappointed in PC products

I have a lot of whiteheads on my chin and this product is perfect at removing them you just need to be patient as it takes a while but I would definitely recommend this product to anybody. There are no irritants and it has helped with redness so much.

I have normal to oily skin and only ever had/have minor monthly breakouts but wanted to give this a go for stubborn blackheads etc. After 2nd use, I began to break out but after reading other reviews put this down to "the great purge" lol. I really wish i'd not continued use because 3 weeks later I'm left with a mass of cystic acne on one side of my face. I've never had anything like this before and it just won't go away!! Even now, with continually 5% BZ use it won't budge. I'm sure PC is not a "bad" product but just a warning to others to consider before use or if your using and seeing the signs maybe proceed with caution. Weirdly it has done absolutely nothing to clear blackheads either. I'm shocked given the good reviews...

I absolutely love Paula's Choice 8% AHA exfoliant and the weekly treatment. So I decided to buy the 2% as well as a day treatment. But I am extremely disappointed! I have tried this products three times, and all threes times I got huge painful cysts! Other reviewers have also reported this. I have experienced the exact same reaction: painful red cysts and took over a month to disappear! Very unhappy with this exfoliant. I don't know which ingredient it is, but it does not agree with my skin. Hopefully Paula can reformulate it or something. Returning it would cost me $10 in shipping so I am now using it on my feet. My feet now feels kind of soft. Two lippies for making my feet softer.

Within the second week of using this product I broke out worst than I ever had with red cystic pimples on my forehead, nose, jaw line and upper lip. I wanted to believe it was skin purging that would subside so i kept on using it but my face started to look like a bloody pizza so before I did anymore damage I stopped. I hope it clears up soon. This makes me afraid to use any of her other products to be honest.

I love this stuff! I have rough, oily skin with large pores on my cheeks and this has drastically changed my skin texture. This is noticeably fading the hyperpigmentation I have from old acne scars on the side of my face. I also had two new scars from a pretty rough extraction I did on the cheek area under my eye, and this faded them within one week. Although it's important to note that hyperpigmentation on my cheek and other oily areas tend to fade sooner than others. And the biggest change I've noticed is how smooth my skin is. I'm a concealer and powder girl, and before using this, my powder would cake up in my pores, even with a very light hand, primer, and correct application with a brush/puff. After using this for, no lie, less than a week, my powder just glides onn instead of sitting in my pores. My pores are still visible, but definitely tinier. I'm using less concealer too because I don't need more than one layer to fill in what use to be "rough" areas. I have almost no flakage, but I'm very oily so it's usually not an issue anyway. The little that I did have wasn't noticeable. I can't suggest this stuff enough to brown girls like me with hyperpigmentation. I wish it were cheaper, but I hear it last a while. Also wish the hole on the top was smaller so I could control how much product I use a little better.
