When I put on a product to feel clean, pretty and soft, I don't expect to gag over the strong fishy smell of an "unscented" product. I can't honestly review how well it works as I scrubbed it off faster than lightning. If your at ALL sensitive to fish scents stay clear.

Finally!
I have Eczema, and therefore I have severe dry skin. This affects me mostly during the Winter, and it gets really itchy. No amount of body butters and lotions in the world would do sometimes.
This thing just saved me. I love it. I am so pleasantly surprised.
The night after the first use, my skin was so smooth, I didn't even need to use body butters and lotions.
I am so happy I found this.

Another one of my HG products that I simply can not live without in the winter. I have very dry, eczema prone skin I swore off bar soap all together years ago, but even some body washes can be drying. This is a great product for people with allergies and sensitive skin. It cleans and moisturizes in one step, better than Dove, Purpose, or Nuetorgena. There is no added scent, but it definitely has a scent of its own. It's no strong though. I used this when I shave my legs, and on occasion as a face wash. It can be tricky t find in stores as its not with the other body washes, but usually by the Eucerin lotion.

This is great as a moisturizing body wash but I also use it as a shave cream. It creates a close shave and leaves legs smooth without flakies.

This is a pretty good shower oil, it's meant to clean the skin while leaving it non stripped and soft. It's an oil with emulsifiers that foam (slightly) and rinse clean. It has no added fragrance but it definitely smells (to me it smells like the innards of a pumpkin?) This is too expensive for me to use as an everyday body wash because you need a lot to clean your body, by the time it makes contact with your wet skin it turns into the frothy-ness and doesnt spread, so you have to use more than you'd think, it doesn't go well with shower loofas or a salux cloth either, you have to use it directly on the skin. So you're probably wondering, then what's the point of this product? i Use this to remove my body sunscreen. it takes everything off and leaves my skin clean with no harshness (i dont have to scrub) or stripped feeling. I take a drizzle of this on my arm then emulsify it all over, rinse, then do the other arm, and continue with my legs as well (if i wore ss on them that day). The product goes by pretty fast so it'd be too much(money) for me to use this everyday(i gave this a 3 for price) used everyday it'd probably last a week or less. i'll stick to my shikai body wash for that. but for ss removal, it's great, it got rid of my lrp dermo peds in one fell swoop. The packaging can get pretty messy but luckily it rinses clean. I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking to take their water-resistant ss off at the end of the day easily and effectively

This is great for dry skin. It looks like oil and has a different smell, but ignore these minor details because this body wash is very soothing. I have eczema and it leaves me feeling clean AND soft. But beware, this can get make your shower floor really slippery!

The only reason this got a 4 out of 5 is because it is definitely NOT unscented. At first I didn't notice a scent at all, but the longer I had it, the stronger it got. I will say, that the effects far cancel out the smell. It relieved my eczema completely on one side of my leg and minimized greatly my other 3 problem areas. Also, if I'm having a flaky scalp from winter weather or too much hairspray, I use this along with conditioner & I'm good to go. I would definitely purchase this again. I recommend it to anyone with eczema, psoriasis, sensitive skin or dry skin. My husband likes it as well (:

My HG bodywash!
I have very very dry skin..to the point that during bad times I see my skin flake off (gross!) This is the only thing that will solve that problem.
I dont care for the smell, but it really doesnt matter to me because I love the product so much and is the only thing that will work on my super dry skin.

I suffer from dry skin, especially during the winter months. I tried this product and I really like it! I will agree with other reviewers that the smell could be better but as soneone else mentioned, it dissipates very quickly. I think I picked this up at Wal-Mart for around $5.

Yes, I use on my face. But only because cleansing oil is hard to find in any stores in Us. Cleans well and a bit drying, but not irritating, nothing a moisturizer won't fix. A little goes a long way. I use when I have full coverage makeup on.

For those of us with medically dry skin (i.e. requiring daily aquafore to prevent cracking and bleeding where the skin naturally bends) this is actually nice stuff compared to the other products out there for medically sensitive skin (robathol, etc), the scent is nowhere near as horrible as some would have you believe - and it fades totally when the skin is totally dry. I wouldn't say that it is moisturizing so much as it prevents the skin from drying out. If you are like me and your skin peels all year when it gets dry, that is a big deal. I would only improve it in a couple ways 1) I wish it didn't leave an oily residue on the tub - if you live with someone else, make sure they aren't going to break their neck when you get out of the shower. 2) I wish it had a better top - you only need a few drops to do both arms, and both legs, a small locking pump top would be nice. 3) I wish it were a little heavier, it would be nice, but I DO have really dry skin - otherwise it would totally be a five all the way around. If you have really dry skin, I totally suggest it.

Great, great stuff. Lost a point for being a yucky smell. BUT I wouldn't be happy if they added fragrance, either. I tend to gravitate toward products that have very few ingredients -- especially those whose names I can't even pronounce. Adding fragrance to this product would take away from its highly natural, soothing feel. I do tend to alternate between using this and using a scented shower gel. Sometimes I want to smell pretty, and the "harsher" shower gel, I feel, cleans better. So after the gym, I wouldn't use Eucerin.

Added bonus - excellent to shave legs with!

It smelled fishy to me at first, but I suspect that was just because I saw "omega oils" mentioned in the ad, so that's what I was expecting. When I actually looked at the ingredient list on the bottle and found no fish, I sniffed it again, and it just smelled "oily" to me, not fishy. And the smell doesn't linger on the skin after the shower, anyway. This is an excellent body wash for winter-dry skin. I only gave it a 4 because it doesn't work for year-round use--if my skin isn't itchy and dry, this stuff makes me break out. But it's great for the coldest time of year. The bottle lasts about as long as the coldest weather lasts, and by the time it's finished, spring is on the way!

I had hopes that this would be a gentle product to use on irritated, dry skin. But I just couldn't get past the smell. It smells way beyond awful, like oily sardines. I had to be very careful pouring it out as it is easy for it to pour out too much at once. I didn't feel very clean after using this. For gentle cleaning on sensitive and irritated skin, I will stick with baby washes.

I bought this last summer after I had a particularly peely/itchy sunburn - it worked fine as a body wash - but this is THE BEST for shaving your legs! It makes a good enough lather to give the razor some glide and it moisturizes at the same time. My legs are never irritated like they are with perfumed creams or gels, and they feel ten times softer. Therefore, this review is for the shower-oil-as-shaving-oil!

This stuff is my HG body wash. I have dry, dry, dry skin that is especially bad in the wintertime. I'm also a bit lazy about applying lotion after my shower. I try to minimize moisture loss by taking fish oil, drinking water, and taking short, lukewarm showers, but in the end, my skin remains quite dry.

This product leaves my skin clean, soft, and moisturized, and it effectively takes care of cleansing and moisturizing in one step. The moisturized feeling lasts all day. I noticed one day that my boyfriend's skin was also feeling softer than usual, and he fessed up to using my bodywash, and now I think we're both addicted to the gentle cleansing and moisture of this product.

The smell is.... well, the smell is terrible. (My boyfriend, crazy person that he is, likes the smell.) It smells like cooking oil/fish oil/some kind of not very nice smelling oil. On the other hand, I don't find that that smell clings to me, so as long as you can stand the odor in the shower, you're golden. As golden as the ugly bottle, I guess.

Yes, it smells like fish oil. I don't mind that. It's also kind of expensive, but I don't use it every day as a full-body wash, so it's economical for how I do use it:

1. Face wash: the best ever winter face wash for dry skin, especially to take off makeup
2. To shave, anywhere
3. As an...intimate cleanser. Those of you who have had children know how sensitive everything down there can be during pregnancy and after childbirth. Enough said.

This is a staple in my bathroom, I apply water resistant sunscreen everyday and this washes the sunscreen off my body without any fuss. Word of caution though, it can make ur bathroom floor very slippery so becareful not to trip and fall. ;)

I have pretty soft skin, it gets pretty dry around winter. I thought this was a great alternative to moisturizer my skin. The golden bottle and promises of keeping skin soft, had me excited to use this product. I finally get to use it and as soon as I put it on my skin, I gag. I have a very strong stomach. I was raised on a farm and have smelled and seen a lot of horrible things. The smell of this product is like if you go to Pike Place Market, in Seattle, and ask them if you can cover your naked body in the fishy residue runoff of the weeks catch. I could not get it off my skin fast enough, then when I finally did, I smelled like fish.So I had to wash my skin again. Not only will I never buy this product ever again, I will never use the bottle I have right now.Unless there is something I can add to it to dilute the smell.

This is a great body shower that does not dry out my skin. It has a light lather. The only down side is the smell, which is "oily" smelling. I'll still repurchase. Best body wash I've used.
