Hmm. This primarily tastes and feels mentholated but to me that isnt too extreme. It isnt shiny and isnt really thick (compared to carmex or nuxe) but it is kind of sticky on my lips (when I press them together with the kiss mix on, they stick to each other somewhat). I think it is good under lipstick or over a lipstain but on me it wears off far too quickly and I find myself having to reapply way too much. This is odd because the texture is not slippery so I wouldnt think it would slip off but somehow it always disappears after 30 min-1 hour on me. I would say that my lips may be so dry they just soak it up but I have plenty of other lip balms where this is not the case.
It isnt bad but I wouldnt repurchase for this price.

I don't like this at all! It is sticky, doesn't feel hygenic, very menthol in smell and seems to dry my lips out. Sorry, I can't recommend this one. For ref, I love the Nuxe lip balm, soft, melts on application and has long lasting results.

Immediately upon application creates an intense warming sensation on lips (akin to a menthol effect), which is overwhelming and reason enough not to repurchase.

Good rich moisturizing lip balm for wintry weather. It melts into the lips, unlike most stick lip balms, but doesn't disappear entirely, giving good protection on a cold day. I mostly use it at as an overnight moisturizer and for outside protection on very cold days. Downsides are the packaging - sticking your finger, however delicately, into a little pot isn't a fabulously hygenic idea - and the menthol, which I don't mind so much but which my regular kisser objects to...

I love this. It's quite a rich texture - not sticky like some glosses, but not smooth like a lipstick either - somewhere in between. It goes on clear (not white) and gives your lips a semi-glossy look. It heals my chapped lips really quickly, and the mint smell isn't too overpowering. I really don't feel any sting or tingle that some reviewers say they get - maybe their lips are very sore or cracked, in which case most perfumed products would cause this effect. It's pretty pricey, but used a couple of times a day, it lasts me about 4 months as you need less than a pea size amount. My only dislike is that the pot is not very hygienic as you have to stick your fingers into it - I'd prefer a tube.

I don't understand why some lip balms are mentholated - I actually find the effect uncomfortable! This lip balm is quite sticky, but it does make my lips look good. But I get a stinging sensation from the menthol (or whatever causes that stinginess) which borders on being painful! And that lasts for a few minutes. Perhaps it's supposed to make you feel your lips are being plumped up and refreshed, but it doesn't work on me!
I want to update this, as I've found this product the best one of its kind. It's wonderful in cold weather - lasts for hours and outperforms the lighter balms which sit on the lips for a while and then disappear. It's a lovely base for lipstick and adds a soft attractive sheen. I still don't like the stickiness left on one's fingers or the stingy menthol effect, but I'm happy to put up with that for the benefits of the product.

What an odd product - at first it feels like the greatest lip balm ever - very moisturising and thick. Then you wake up the next day with the driest, tightest lips ever. Smile and watch your lips crack!
I love Eve Lom's Cleanser but this is a real let down.

I sampled this and found it to be really good. It's more than I'd like to pay for a lip balm so I've resisted buying the full size, but come winter time I'll be very tempted to splurge on it.

Kissmix. Cut name and pot but not a good balm. Very stiff and shiny and mentholated and not at all healing or mositurising.

Totally agree with the previous review! The lip balm is slightly minty and you only need a small bit to be effective. It's very nice, not greasy at all and lasts a long time!

Amazing lip balm. I've tried them all, and this one's the best. A bit pricey, but so worth it. you'll only need to put it on once a day so it lasts for ages
