Easy, non-clumpy application + nice fat lashes + great wear with no raccoon eyes + easy wash-off with soap and water = awesome. But it's SO expensive. When my last tube finally died, I spent $28 on four inferior attempts at replacement with drugstore products when I should have just ponied up the $22 for this stuff. Blah.

I bought this as seeing how much great reviews it was getting but was sorely disappointed due to such high expectations. It's nice but i wouldn't say it was great, it gives good definition, not much length, clumps when I try to coat a few times and get some volume. Overall I wouldn't purchase again, I only use it in combination to my other mascaras, because it doesn't hold curl very well as it's very liquidy so I feel it just doesn't do anything for my lashes. My lashes aren't short but they're fine.

I originally had a sample of this and was so impressed i bought the full sized product. I think it was round $34 AUD.

It comes in the characteristic bright pink model co packaging with quite a thick tube.

As the name suggests this product gives gorgeous fat lashes.
I love using it in combination with Maybelline full and soft.

The only negatives are that this is not waterproof so it does run when splashed, and the writing on the packaging wears off after a while.

I do love this though and will definitely repurchase!

I love mascaras. So whenever one crosses my path I'm usually on my way to the counter to pay for it. So when I saw this giant pink tube of mascara I knew I had to have it. Its one of the best mascaras I own. My lashes look fake from how thick they get. It really opens my eyes too. I feel so sexy after using this mascara. Fat Lash is definitely becoming a staple in my makeup routine.

I received this mascara, full size, as a GWP when buying another of ModelCo's mascaras. At first glance I wasn't impressed - stumpy brush, dry feeling formula. But after giving it another go, and playing around a bit, I really quite like it. Once you have your technique down (for me, this is switching back and forth between my eyes as I build up the layers, giving each layer a few seconds to set, but not too much), you can build up your look from natural to dramatic without clumping.
I really love the hot pink packaging, though I felt the mascara as a whole was a little small. One thing I found frustrating with this mascara was the constant flaking after a few hours wear. I like to wear my mascara all day, so this is a pain for me. However it is easy to use, and since I got it free, I can't complain about the price. Seeing it for retail sale though (I think it's around $35-40 here) I don't think I'd purchase it again. I'd rather save an extra $15 and buy DiorShow.

EDIT:
At first I wasn't a big fan of this mascara...but now, after using it a while... i must admit I cant be without!! Wow, it gives me really nice thick lashes with a dramatic false-lash-effect!
Apparantly it took me some time to figure out how to apply it best...
I used to curl my lashes, but it looks way better without curling my lashes...and i apply a few coats throughout the day...wow, amazing!

For years I've always used Max Factor's Stretch and Separate mascara.. that was the only mascara that I absolutely loved and I've tried them all. ModelCo's FAT LASH works even better.. ! All you need is one coat and you're good to go. Absolutely no clumping whatsoever.. !! It really makes your lashes pop! It's really worth a try.. you'll love it!

I also got this product with the colourbox liner, so it wasn't as expensive as buying it by itself (and to be honest, I probably wouldn't have purchased it if it wasn't on sale in a set). It's a nice mascara, but I don't think it is amazing. It is quite dry, and doesn't go on clumpy at all. I like it for a day 'look' when you don't want to look like you've overdone the mascara. I would generally only wear it for work, and it stays on nicely all day. I would purchase again, but only if it was on sale, I think there are better quality products out there in this price range. But if I'm after a more dramatic (lash thickening/extending) look, then I would be reaching for something else.

Absolutely fantastic! Probably the best mascara I have ever used. It lengthens amazingly, thickens without any clumping, and doesn't give that spider web look that mascara can sometimes do, making it obvious that you've overdone it with the mascara. It also curls my lashes without having to use an eyelash curler. The brush is on the thicker side, but easy to use and get right to the roots of the lashes. And you get just the right amount of mascara on the brush each time, so you don't get big chunks of mascara on the lashes. It also doesn't leave the lashes with that stiff, dry feeling either - they still feel soft and flexible. Lasting power is fantastic - stays put all day until I remove it with eye makeup remover. I also wear contact lenses when I go out & haven't had any issues with eye irritation. Definitely will be my staple mascara in my makeup collection from now on, plus the cute hot pink packaging makes it easy to find! Highly recommend it.

I love this mascara. I have really sensitive skin - especially around the eyes, and this gives me NO grief what so ever. It thickens, separates, and adds volume. Doesn't clump, and I don't gett little black freckles beneith my eyes at the end of the day. 1 stroke and you're done. For a glammed up look, 2 and for a spider legs blow out, go for three. Any more than that, and you will rearrange the airflow in the room when you blink. I have tried all sorts from Bobbi Brown (my fav for everything else), chanel, Elixabeth Arden, Lancome, YSL... the list goes on... and this wins hands down. Love it :o)

I got this product during the recent Boxing Day/ New Years sales at David Jones in a box set with a black ColourBox eyeliner. Considering it was usually $32, I was happy to pay $20 for $60 worth of product. I was a bit iffy about the bristle brush (I prefer silicone brushes), but was willing to take a chance. I wasn't disappointed - it gave good volume and length with decent definition. But I would suggest multiple coats if you really want the 'Wow' factor with this mascara - leave the fist coat to dry a little and then add a second coat (or more for the false lash look). Like every volumizing mascara I've tried, it does clump a little if you over-do it, but not nearly as badly as other volumizing mascaras I've tried. If it clumps I just use a dry clean, old mascara brush to separate problem areas. I recommend using the ModelCo heated eyelash curler to give extra oomph with this mascara.I was pleased enough to buy a second set, but I'm not sure if I'd pay full price for it.

This is one of the best volumizing mascaras I have ever tried. It does not clump, and best of all, it curls my very straight lashes even if I do not use the eyelash curler. It also lengthens a fair bit, and is quite an intense black. Best of all, it removes really easily.

The downsides of this mascara is that it is rather expensive, and it is fragranced (smells a little like almonds).

overall: gives extra volume to the natural look of long, seperated, defined lashes - a long lasting formula easily removed with soap and water. hardly noticeable smudging and flaking.
i got their lashextend as a free gift with a magazine and found it wonderful to use. So recently when i was thinking of buying another tube of lashextend, i found out about fat lash & got this one instead. it's more expensive, but does all that lashextend does + thickening.
the consistency of this mascara is a dry formula , it's wax based but like lashextend has this particles in it that build on top of your lsahes to make it longer. i think the wax formula is responsible for the thickening - but at the same time it means that this one is more prone to smudges (although it hardly smudges on me through the whole day even wihtout powdering). unlike lashextend it does run easily with water (i believe lashextend could last through rain). i expected more thickening - but this one thickens and defines - rather than a 'black patch' (e.g. other thickening mascaras like covergirl Lashblast) you can see the long individual lashes which gives the dark drama with the look of natural lashes.
it comes with a fat brush, so this makes things a bit tad bit messier in application - but the tapered base and top of the brush allows you to get into the lashes at the edges - defining your eyes.
all in all i really love this mascara. it's not dramatically different to lashextend, but it is worth a try if you are looking for a bit more drama than the natural look in lashextend.

I really love this mascara! Adds a ton of thickness, holds a curl, doesn't flake, smudge or smear. It also does not make your lashes feel stiff or 'crispy.' Comes in a nice glossy black, and it's silly but I love the hot pink tube! The only real downside is the price--it was $28 at Bendel's which is about as much as I'm willing to pay for mascara. But if you're up for the price and looking for a great volumizing mascara that won't weigh down a curl, give this a try!
