this is a very pigmented lilac purple. The colour lasts a long time with a primer and theres so much its going ot take a long time to use up all of the product. the only thing i don't like is that you can only wear this for special occasions as this colour is bright and not an everyday eyeshadow colour not suitable for school.

This is a great lilac purpley color. Wore it today for the first time, on the lid paired with moth brown in the crease. Would work best for a lid color. Was smooth and blended well. Not all colors are supposed to be super pigmented! I'm fair so worked well for me using a lid primer. Won't need to repurchase.

I adore the shade in the pot, but the pigmentation is horrible for a high end product. This texture is not starflashy at all. I was very disappointed by this one.

After seeing so many photos and EOTD's of this product, I really wanted to try it out. So I recently bought a pan of it. I expected it to be a highly pigmented, opaque, light pearl with high sheen -especially being a Starflash item.
On my fair complexion it looks washed out and seems to be lacking in the pigmentation dept..
I like NYX's "Frosted Lilac" more for this color.
I'm disappointed in it and am trying to either sell it or swap it away. Would NOT repurchase.

So pretty! I normally don't wear lighter shades or any color. I prefer dark, neutral smokey eyes, but after reading about a lot of mac eyeshadows and seeing how a lot of people like this, I decided to try it. WOW, I was pleasantly surprised! I have been trying to change my makeup and experiment with colors an I'm glad I tried this. I can actually see myself using it often with a lot of different shades and the texture is divine. A dream to apply! I used it on my lid (with a base of butternutty shadestick but I also like using neutral paintpots or paints) and top hat on crease and out v. I also love using it with Chanel's Magic Night (beautiful purple-ish/burgundy eyeshadow) instead of Top Hat sometimes. I'm NC25-35, right now I'm NC-25 but getting closer to NC30. I have dark, deep-set eyes and Lotusland brightens them up and enhances the color.

This is one of my favourite MAC shadows. It's a gorgeous pink-purple, with just enough shimmer, but not too much. It's not super duper pigmented, but it's enough for a daytime look. Lasting power on its own was mediocre, it just barely made it to the end of an 8-hour day. I usually use Lumene's primer though, which makes all shadows last amazingly long, so that's not an issue.

In the pan this color looked kinda meh to me, like any other lavendar color...nothing special. But I swatched it out of curiosity and was really surprised at how pigmented it actually was. I tried it with UDPP and combined it with graphology in the crease and absolutely loved how easy it was to blend. I feel all the colors from starflash collection are so smooth and very blendable. If this color is re-promoted in the future I would purchase again. NC30/35.

Lotusland is a pretty frosty lavendar e/s color that is very pigmented, but not overly so. I paired this with Nocturnelle in the crease and carbon in the outer v and it looked gorgeous. I'm glad I purchased this one b/f it sold out since it was LE. If it becomes available again and I am out of it, I would repurchase this one. For reference I am NC43.

It looks so pretty in the pot but it's just too darn sheer on the eye without a good base. I'm actually going to try using it wet to see if that will get the color to show up more.

This one is a super pretty shade of light purple, which is more pink toned than blue toned. It has a slight silvery smooth shimmer that makes it look somewhat pearly. The only problem is that it takes a few layers to get the pigmentation strong. I dunno why but wearing this makes my feel like a Japanese pop star.

I was disappointed with this Shadow - it was one of only a couple of the starflash range that i bought and it is by far the worst, It swatched beautifully on my hand, but after getting it home i found that it turned out nothing like i had expected - you really have to pack it on and i found that it didn't last half as long as the regular MAC colours i wear
This was a let down :O(

I was overall not impressed with this color. It is a beautiful shade of purple in the pot, but it doesn't show up well when applied on the eye.

In the site swatch, and in the pot, I thought this would look very similar to Lovely Lily pigment. Not so...on my NW20 skin, it has much more red undertones. I think it's a wonderful pink, and versatile. As a wash, highlight or a simple daytime look, it's great! Would re-purchase if necessary.Edited to add: this works fantastically with Nocturnelle e/s!!

LOVE this!! You really have to pack it on but Lotusland is very pretty and unlike any MAC shadows I have! Looks great with Heatherette Trio 2.

This was a big let down, i really wanted to like this. It swatched so pretty on my hand, it came out a bit shimmery light lilac, but when i tried to put this on my lid with udpp under it barley showed up, & when it did, it really did look like i had brused my eye, and it really just ruined my whole look. This might look amazing, on other skin tones, but not on mine, & the color payoff just really upset me. =/
will try to return, but nordstroms is a pain to do returns with.

This is the first MAC eyeshadow I have tried that I liked and will keep. It is subtle, can be layered, is natural yet is a soft lilac that makes my brown eyes pop. I bought another starflash eyeshadow (talent pool) but it was too deep, and the other ones that people have been raving about (olivey and goldy ones) were too shiny and reptilian looking for me. On my already oily skin matte or very slightly shimmery eyeshadows (with very fine shimmer) look good. This is the very first MAC that has seemed ok with my eyes and skin (not even shroom is much to my liking).
However this is great, and I will def keep it. Two thumbs up!

I have a love affair with light, pretty shades of pink shadow for everyday wear because they're subtle but still girlish and pretty. I tend to keep away from most blue and purple as everyday shadow because they usually look out of place against my skin tone, which I don't really like. Lotusland is the perfect purple for me, completely effortless and very versatile. As an added bonus, it makes my green eyes stand out a bit more.
As other reviewers have said, you do have to layer it on a bit to get the color to really pop. The main complaint I hear about it is that it's not bright or pigmented enough. It's not as bright on the skin as it is in the packaging. I personally like the lighter color you get with just a little bit of this shadow, but I'm sure it's probably not to everyone's taste. The shadow itself is very smooth and not at all chalky.
I will probably buy a backup, as this pretty purple is now one of my favorites.

Lovely shimmery lavender with pinky undertones. Looks nice as a wash. Coordinates well with Parfait Amour. This is everything I wanted Beautiful Iris to be. Rich, shimmery, and not chalky. I've been waiting for this color! I might buy a back-up, haven't decided yet.

PRICE: $14.50 (same price ~)
TEXUTRE: Similar texture to Veluxe Pearl, but when I first saw them at the counter, they really looked like Frost. Very smooth texture! Easy to apply and doesn't really smudge.
COLOR: Lotusland is a very pretty lavender color w/ subtle shimmer (not overly pigmented!) I compared this shade to other MAC e/sz...
Creme de Violet VS Lotusland - similar, but not really. Creme de Violet is more pink~ just imaging Lotusland is more lavender~~~~~~
Crystal VS Lotusland - Lotusland is darker and has more color payoff, crystal is more muted.
Idol eyes VS Lotusland - they're very similar!!! But I love Lotusland more~ Idol eyes is too silvery ~

Lotusland is a medium pink-toned lilac with silver shimmer. This is one of the Starflash e/s I was disappointed with - unlike Smoke & Diamonds, which was soft and easy to work with, Lotusland is on the sheer side; you have to really layer it on to get any decent color payoff. A thumbs down from me.
Comparisons to other MAC e/s:
Lavender Sky - slightly more vibrant and pink toned, with a finer pearl sheen rather than shimmer. If you already own this, Lotusland is not a must have - I prefer LS, actually
Mancatcher - not as vibrant, less pink and more purple toned, also with a pearly sheen instead of shimmer. A more complex color and not very similar, IMO
Other Brands:
Clinique Crystal Berry - very similar base color with gold instead of silver shimmer; texture somewhat gritty so not recommended
Stila Charm - lighter, more purple and less pink
