As a respected brand, I expected nothing but high quality from YSL! They definitely delivered as this mascara is unbelievably amazing! It's my new favourite! The smell is lovely for a mascara and it leaves your eyelashes weirdly soft. Every other mascara I have used in the past always left my lashes hard but not this one. I was left pleasantly surprised. After just 1 coat, my lashes looked longer and even after the 2nd coat, my lashes looked fuller, longer and clump free! AMAZING!
BUT...
every product has its flaws. This mascara is almost impossible to remove. Although you can barely feel it on as it's light, it's pretty hard to remove. Now that's what I call waterproof! Lol. Regardless, I shall be purchasing it again and I would advise you too!

I told myself that I would never convert to High End mascaras but I just fell in love straight away with this! It even SMELLS amazing for goodness sake! This gives me volume and length and separates my lashes at the same time.

I have to admit though, although I give this the full 5/5 rating now, I probably wouldn't have given it such a high review a few months back. I found when I initially started using this that it clumped my lashes big time! It felt like my eyelashes were almost weighed down. However, I corrected this with a simple application adjustment, by applying it from the root, and making it fullest at the root, rather than piling on to the ends of my lashes. Another problem I initially had (which I have stopped having now I have changed my application technique) is that this would kind of flake and fall of my lashes after a few hours wear! gross!

However, now I have changed my application of this product I have experienced great results! great mascara!!

This, in my eternal search for the perfect mascara, is by far my favorite so far. I have been using it for about two years now and still haven't found any product that matches up.

Admittedly, the product is somewhat pricey, but this is perhaps to be expected from a high end brand such as YSL. The mascara is packaged nicely and has a nice scent, though I will admit, this is not entirely neccessary.

My favourite thing about this product is its ability to hold a curl, as it really lasts for hours. I am also a fan of the wand as, though application does take some time and effort, it does seperate and thicken lashes. The mascara lasts for a very long time and I find that it hardly flakes at all.

This mascara, whilst pricey, is definately worht the money and I would not think twice about recommending it to a friend.

My first waterproof mascara, bought based on MUA reviews. Brush is too big making it dificult to reach the small inner and outer lashes without getting the mascara on eyelid and under lower lashes. Lengthens slightly, volumises hardly at all, clumps and flakes and makes my lashes look like spider legs. Worst thing is that it smudges badly after a few hours. Estee Lauder Sumptuous and CD Diorshow Extase, although not waterproof, have far superior staying power and do not smudge. Will definitely not repurchase.

love this! I've been using this for over a year and have completely stopped my mascara search. it can go natural or easily be built up without clumping. I do use a primer underneath because this does not hold the curl, but it also doesn't flatten them either. I love the brush, just fans out ur lashes and looks fuller even though it's not a volumizing mascara

overrated result for the price of this product.

Bit of clumping and flaking did occur.

When placed on the bottom lashes I eventually ended up with panda eyes. :(

Disappointed given the price paid :(

Wand was nothing special.

I seem to be a minority who doesnt like this mascara !
My eyes tend to get watery due to allergies and I needed a waterproof mascara.Went to Sephora looking for one and the SA suggested YSL waterproof . I already had mascara on so I couldn't try the tester . Besides it was YSL !!!. Not sure if I got a lemon but this seems too dry and flaky on my lashes . Barely any product gets on my lashes and it doesnt lenghten them AT ALL :(
Have tried it twice already and it just doesnt work for me. Will return it back to Sephora.

This mascara is currently my HG mascara, i really love this product, it has a beautiful packaging, it really make my lashes look longer naturally, it doesnt clump, and it also smells nice haha, because some of the drugstore mascara really has a disgusting smell. anyway, this mascara dries quickly, so whenever im applying this, i need to apply the mascara as quickly as i can, then i'll have a long natural lashes for the whole day! i would definitely purchase again!

bought this a few days ago at sephora. i have the ysl rouge volupte lipstick and the packaging for that was beautiful! i thought it would be the same for this waterproof mascara, but when i opened it, it looked and felt like cheap plastic. anyways i usually use Dior blackout waterproof mascara but I wanted a change so I bought this. this is definitely now my HG mascara. it's not a volumizing mascara so if that's what you're looking for this isn't it. but this mascara definitely gives me long natural lashes. definitely does a great job lengthening and seperating. it made my lashes so feathery. I'm Asian so I have short straight lashes. this mascara doesn't weigh down my lashes so my curled eyelashes stay super curled for the entire day. the formula is sort of dry (actually maybe really dry) so i'm pretty sure this is going to dry out a lot faster than my other mascaras. my Dior blackout also gave me horrible, horrible raccoon eyes within an hour of application. this mascara does smudge a little but DEFINITELY not as bad as the Dior blackout. I don't mind a little smudging. I've already given up on finding the perfect, nonsmudging, volumizing, lengthening, curl holding, waterproof, oilproof mascara. this is as good as it gets. definitely repurhasing.

great mascara! got this in a swap and haven't stopped using it since. makes my wimpy lashes long and dark. only problem is that it does smudge on me, i haven't found a mascara that doesnt smudge! (except for that kiss me one that makes the tubes around your lashes.) can't imagine how amazing this would look on thick lashes!

I have this mascara in black (1W, Ever Black) and brown (2W, Ever Brown).
This is by far the best mascara YSL has ever made, it is far superior to the so-much-praised- Faux Cils!! I do not like Faux Cils... all it get is a clumpy mess out of it; I must add.. to be fair, that I look after long lashes rather than volume.
Everlong has a superb brush: it is similar to the Inimitable (Chanel) one, I mean it is molded in plastic and has no "hairy" bristles. This allows the brush to be always in perfect shape, and the mascara won't pile up or clump on the brush.
The formula is great: it really creates a lash extension. I could not believe the first time I applied it, It looked like falsies!
No flaking, no smudging, this is a bomb-proof mascara!!
The shade: black allows a deep dramatic look but I have to say I prefer the brown one for a more natural looking looks: the brown makes my blue eyes dramatically pop! (same as brown eyeshadows do).
I like it so much I want to try all the other stunning shades they have!!!

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this mascara! It holds a curl VERY well and separates better than any mascara I have ever tried (I've tried most of the store brand mascaras and the ones in sephora). I am definitely a mascara junkie :-) I wasn't sure if it would hold a curl on my stick straight lashes at first since I had tried the effet faux cils, which did not work for me, too heavy. But, this is a great natural looking mascara. While it doesn't volumize at all, it does separate and curl like no other so I figure if I want more volume, I can just add a volumizing mascara on top of this!

Best mascara I've ever owned (and there have been lots)!! Let me start by saying I've literally tried EVERY mascara that Sephora sells & I'm NOT exagerating - from all of DIOR's, other YSL's, Tarte, Clinique, Laura M, to MUFE (you get the point). Anyway if you're looking for a lengthening mascara very deep black and a look that's quite natural this is the one for you. It could definitley also be used with a volumizing mascara for a very dramatic look. It's now my HG just hope they never discontinue it!! OH, and one more thing, it actually improves your lashes and protects them - what more could you want from a mascara?!

this mascara is perfect for me. i honestly love it. i saw this one photo of ginnifer goodwin, and she has this extreme black thin eyeliner on, and then very natural yet dramatic lashes on her. that's my favorite look; so on the hunt i went for to achieve that look. i recommend the waterproof because you can always wash it off with eye makeup remover, and it doesn't smudge one bit during the day. very useful if you don't want those raccoon looking eyes. when i used this, it multiplied my lashes and i've noticed the curl stayed on longer as well. my lashes have also tremendously lengthened. my friend even said that he could notice my lashes for the first time. for reference my lashes are very short, and thin. (asian-like lashes).

Overall, it's one of my favourite mascaras. Why? It gives me a natural looking, but obvious eyelashes, that makes me eyes look more awake and wider. I have this in number 2, which is the Brown colour, hence when I apply this my eyelashes appear very natural and not too harsh or too made up. I think I will try the Black one next.

Another thing is, it holds my curl, all day long! I only need to use my Shiseido eyelash curler and few coats of this (depending on how much oomph you want determines how many coats you apply) and my eyelashes stay naturally curled and visible and long and just beautiful all day!! till the time I need to remove my eye makeup.

Beautiful packaging. I got this when it was on sale and so happy I bought it. It works for me, I really like it especially during the day when I prefer a natural looking falsies-like eyelashes.

Beautiful packaging, mediocre effect mascara, terrible staying power. I bought this in dutyfree because Clinique had sold out and I thought this would be pretty much a no brainer practical affair. I didn't expect to find it smudged under my eyes before the day was over. To be fair, it may have been oil (from moisturiser etc) that smudged it, but still, I have no truck with a moving 'waterproof' mascara. Very disappointing for the brand and the price.

I bought this mascara in Black. I've been looking for a mascara that doesn't smudge. After reading that tubing mascaras and this mascara did not smudge and stayed put, I decided to invest in this $28.50 golden tube of mascara. It lengthens but doesn't add much volume. For a while, I thought this mascara would be the one to end my hunt for mascaras. After being in high humidity for a few hours today, I totally got raccoon eyes! Boo. It's a possibility that it's because I put it on my bottom lashes, too. Off to search for another mascara..

I bought this w/ a Sephora gift card and am loving it! It lengthens lashes w/ some volume. If you're looking for real volume I would look elsewhere. I don't knw if I would repurchase b/c of the hefty price but I've never had a macara that made my lashes stayed curled after application. My lashes always lose a bit of its curl after other mascaras application..no matter how long I curled mine w/ an eyelash curler.
Also love the subtle flowery fragrance upon application...

Originally, I wanted to try faux cils, but there wasn't a waterproof version. So I opted for this, which I had read good reviews about. I had a really hard time shelling out so much money for a mascara, but I was so interested in finding out what all the hype was all about. First off, this is the most I've spent on a mascara. However, I have purchased diorshow, and shu uemura mascaras I figured it's only four bucks more. The packaging is in a fat matte gold tube that oozes luxury. The lid, also clicks back into place so you know it's sealed. The formula has a fragrance, it kind of reminds me of feria hairdye, but a less-offensive version. It also is very clumpless. When you pull the wand out it's cleanly coated with no excess. The bristles are plastic or rubber which really comb through your lashes. After applying, it seems to immediately lift your lashes upwards. This is definetely a lengthening and it really does live up to it's name. After two coats I get long, feathery, inky black lashes that are perfectly seperated. I have short straight asian lashes that I have to curl, and this mascara held and enhanced the curl. There is absolutely no clumping and my lashes still feel soft and natural after application. This also did not smudge on me.

Update: After working an 8+ hour shift this smudges. =(.

Okay I am really really liking this product...a lot! The only down side is that is too expensive but even then I would buy this again. It lengthens and keeps the curl when I curl my lashes which is a plus. Also, it's waterproof.
