The colors are much lighter than what you see in the picture, as I learned when I received these in the mail!

These are literally a "day" eyeshadow for me. Without primer, these shadows barely show up on my slightly tan skin but add enough color and pigment to add depth and dimension to my eyes. These are good shadows I would apply mindlessly looking my car overhead window.

I feel the shades could be better utilized on fairer skin. For me, they are good to have on the go in case I need a quick application without worrying about precision.

This eye shadow looks pretty in the container, but the purple doesn't show up well at all on my skin. The brown works nice and the lighter cream works great as a highlighter color, but I was really disappointed with the purplish color. I even used a primer hoping it would enhance the colors, but that didn't work either. Oh well, back to searching for the ultimate eye shadow!

The matte taupe brown is absolutely beautiful! However, the other two colors have very little color to them and are much too shimmery for me.

my HG *neutral/natural* eyeshadow trio! i absolutely LOVE these colors. i'm NC25 with a strong yellow-undertone that could easily warm up neutral eyeshadow colors. because of the way my eyelids are (i'm asian), i have to avoid browns (and really, any color) with warm undertones as well as more neutral colors because my eyes always end up looking swollen and sick. after reading the suprisingly very few reviews on this quad, i decided to try this trio out. the colors are paired up extremely well, and i appreciate the fact that they are not overly shimmery and glittery (unlike some cover girl trios). what's also nice is the fact that they included a matte shade! the lid color is a very pretty taupey lavender which contains just enough shimmer to open up your eyes, making you look more awake. the crease color is a very very lovely grey-taupe that does NOT come out reddish at all!!!! (i tried to like satin taupe but it did make my eyes look swollen, sadly! it's a beautiful color nonetheless) the crease taupe color very *naturally* enhances my eye. the brow bone color is a light peachy-white color that is perfect for the inner corners. again, it is not overly glittery/shimmery at all. the pigmentation is really good, it's very buildable. for some, it might not be pigmented enough, but i like more understated makeup and so this is perfect for me. the lid color (lavender-taupe) does look lavender on my lids (instead of just looking like a light shimmery color). overall, the trio gives a very nice sophisticated look that is very appropriate for school, work and even weddings (i'm a bridesmaid and if i had to do my own makeup, i'd definitely go for this trio). oh yah, it is also ridiculously cheap!!! i got it for $4 at target--imagine if it was on bogo(f)!

i forgot to also mention that the texture is very nice for such a cheap product. i don't think it's chalky at all and i've experienced no fallout. great great product!

I use the "crease" shade for my eyebrows! It's very similar to NARS Bellisssima and gets the job done just as well. It's a greyish-brown shade that works well with my blonde hair/blue eyes.

I haven't bought a new eyeshadow in years (because I haven't been wearing any). But with a whole new makeup "wardrobe" I wanted to have at least one palette that can help to complete the new look. This palette is amazing. The colors wear long and blend incredibly well. This can go from a sheer day look to a more sultry night or special event eye. LOVE IT! And better yet, Target had them on sale for under $4.50.

WOW. My new everyday look. Target was having a sale for all Maybelline eyeshadows and I got this one for only $4.00. It seems that Maybelline has changed the formulation because the pigmentation is amazing! I sell NYX Trio Eyeshadows and own a lot of MAC eyeshadows too and I would say this is comparable. I use to hate Maybelline eyeshadows because their pigmentation use to be so transparent but I noticed that they had a new packaging and thought maybe they changed the formula too and they absolutely did! ....Amazed

A few years ago, I only owned drugstore makeup but hated the quality. I went high end and recently ran out of money lol. I tried almond truffles because I've been looking for matte e/s for cheap.

Well this trio is great and only $5.50! The white and taupe shades are also in the "Mocha Motion" Quad but I wouldn't let this trio go for the gray-lavender shade. Maybelline has really changed its quality of shadows since I last tried it and it so much better. This trio is very sophisticated and shows up very well and lasts all day with a little UDPP under it. I can see myself using this most of the week (and I own a lotttt of e/s). I may need to get a back up :-P

Wow, very pleased with this dirt cheap little gem.

I have a fairly warm toned complexion and generally stick to warm, neutral makeup. But for those days when I'm wearing clothing that is more towards the cooler spectrum I prefer my makeup to blend a little better with my wardrobe. I have searched high and low for a good 'cool'neutral' eyeshadow trio that wasn't too grayish or dark. I'm happy to say that this trio fits the bill perfectly. The shades are as follows:

-A soft ivory tinged white with shimmer ( for the browbone)
-A light lavender/taupe with shimmer ( for the eyelid)
-A matte, medium, soft taupe brown (for the crease)

One lippie off as the highlighter and the lid colour could be a touch more pigmented. To remedy this I apply them wet and the intensity is much better. The shades blend well and last all day with a good base. Maybelline has done a good job of reformulating their shadows- kudos to them!!

All in all a beautiful natural look for no more than five bucks. Very pleased and will definitely get this again.

Great cool/neutral taupes, pretty good pigment, beautifully matched.

And best of all? Clearanced at $1 (Dollar Tree)!

I picked this up on a whim at Safeway the other night because it reminded me a little of the Bobbi Brown Stonewashed palette that everyone was going nuts for last year. Although I have to admit that I only saw pictures of the BB palette online, this has some of the same cool-toned prettiness of it.

This Maybelline trio is really gorgeous! The lid shade has a tiny bit of lavender hue to an otherwise light taupe-frosty shade, which I love. The highlighter color is not too frosty and not too white. The crease shade is a perfect taupe. Overall, my eyes look enhanced but not overly made up. A really lovely, natural daytime look. I suspect I'll be using this a lot.

Wow. Can't believe nobody has reviewed this yet. I picked it up yesterday evening because I've been looking for something subtle but naturally attractive. Something "professional," I suppose, aka matte. :) The trio comes with a light, slightly shimmery white, a grey matte for the lids, and a stone-type color - sort of a brown-grey that's also matte. I love it! I used Ben Nye Violet cake liner and mascara and I had an extremely polished look that, for some *unknown* reason brings out my eyes a lot. My only complaint is that I had to really pile on the matte grey/lid color; it was hard to get that to show up, but I'm quite pale. It could stand to be a bit more pigmented. But for 4 bucks, I'm very, very pleased!
