This blush gives a nice sophisticated color to your cheeks. I guess when I see this color I think of a "grown up" blush so it's more appropriate for work or add some more and it's great for a "date" night out. It's a rosy, brick red but on my olive/medium skin tone, it's gives a beautiful rosy red, brown color so I use it as somewhat of a contour. It's lovely and I recommend to those who are looking for a blush that isn't coral/peach/pink and is more "grown up." (Not saying its only for grown ups lol) it's beautiful so give it a try :)

I like the quality and staying power. It applies well, and I don't notice any sparkle. I am pale with no rosiness in my cheeks naturally, have ivory undertones, and brown eyes and hair, nonpigmented lips. On my this color is rosy, leans toward red on me. Nice color to give me a flushed look. I use practically daily unless I need something more pink or coral or something more subtle, then I wouldnt use it. I think it is good quality overall.

I love Dolce Vita! This blush is such a pretty deep and natural matte pink, and I do think it works with most skintones (although maybe not if you are quite pale, since it may look more red if you have very light-colored skin). I actually found DV when I was trying out Orgasm at Sephora (bc we all know how hyped Orgasm is). However, I was quite disappointed at how orange Orgasm looked on me. So I saw Dolce Vita, tried it on, and it has been my daily brush for the past three years.
The cost is quite high at almost $30, but I seriously have used this blush almost daily for the last three years, and still have a lot of product left. This is mainly because the blush is very, very pigmented. Therefore, the product lasts for a long time, but you do need to be careful about putting too much blush on. I gently sweep my brush on the very top of the product without pressing the brush into the product at all, and that is sufficient. I also use a cheapie $7 blush brush and it works fine, also reflecting that this blush is very easy to use.
This blush is also great at how universal it is with various looks, day or night (although during the day, I try to put a bit less on).
The case is very durable, made with a rubber-like material. I have thrown this blush around in tons of purses and makeup bags, moved and lived in a bunch of places with it, and neither the container nor mirror nor the blush itself have cracked. Pretty awesome!

This is my favorite blush ever and I can't live without it!
I can see why a lot of people would be put off by this, because the color doesn't look that great in the pan. NARS describes it as a matte dusty rose on their site, but I definitely see some strong reddish brown undertones as well. It's quite the dark blush, so many fair skinned girls may be put off.
Despite the dull, ruddy appearance in the pan, this is the single most gorgeous blush that I've ever seen when applied to my NC 40/42 complexion. It gives me a shockingly natural, flushed look. It just makes my face come alive and really mimics the look of the blood that rushes to the cheeks after working out! I can't praise this enough!
I do think that this blush would work best on tan to dark complexions. It's really the perfect natural rose blush for women with deeper complexions. I think this may look a bit "muddy" or "dirty" on fair women, but I have yet to experiment with it on my fair friends lol. I will update when I do!
I own a multitude of blushes and this is the one that I reach for most often. NARS, you've done it again!
BTW- This goes beautifully with the Victoria's Secret Face Flash Radiant Cream Highlighter.

I am fair skinned and this blush, while being beautiful, is a bit dark. It is a darker cranberry pinkish color. Kind of hard for me to explain.
Unlike other Nars blushes - it isn't as soft as the others. It is a matte color - so it has no sparkle or shimmer to it.
It applies very sheer. But you can build it up to the color you want. Although I would use it lightly on fair skin tones. It would be beautiful on darker skin tones.
The packaging is nice though - but does collect dirt easily.

This could very well be my HG blush. Something about it looks so naturally flushed on my supremely pale, warm toned, skin. I always think blush looks a bit off on me, but this shade seems to melt into my complexion. It's very easy to go over board, all I need to do is touch my brush to the top of the product.

I use punjab sheer nars foundation and find that nars dolce vita blush gives a beautiful colour. It gives a very healthy natural looking flush, and although I was initially suspect of the colour and normally prefer peach colour blushes, I am now a total convert. I also have the lipstick and gloss - ladies its fab.

This is my favorite blush for night as I want one which would show up in candlelight without much effort. Do not misunderstand, I apply with a very light touch. It is effortless with a good blush brush. Just one or two light dabs will do. On NC25, it is a very attractive reddish rose colour.
I recommend if you are NC25 or darker.

I LOOOVE this blush! I bought it last fall and have used it during the winter season and started again recently (I live in the bay area, CA and it's always COLD, not that it has to be cold to wear it, but its like a nice flush for the weather). It still looks brand new!
Other reviewers are right, you need a light hand for this blush, its definitely not a blush you can use in a hurry. You should just dip a brush in quickly and lightly and work to blend on your cheeks to make sure it looks good. But when this is done, oh my goodness, it's soooo beautiful and natural looking.
I don't care for the nars blushes with glitter, I prefer the matte ones, especially dolce vita! Orgasm doesn't look that great on me, it just shows up like a gold glitter with barely any peach =( But this is one is definitely worth the $28 or $27 bucks whatever is being charged now!

I love Dolce Vita. I first avoided it thinking such a dark and browny shade would look too un-natural and "dirty" on my very fair warm skin. But its vibrant and natural, a rich brick berry that gives me that Snow White look. Its matte but goes on smooth and doesn't look flat nor highlight wrinkles, all of which are so important at my age! I love blushes like this that are intense in the pan but can add a smooth and lasting natural flush with just a gentle dab of the brush. This ensures it never gets cakey from trying to build up the color. It is excellent in quality is far outstrips the calibre of standard MAC blushes which fade away and oxidise on me. I admit it is expensive, but because it looks so natural and lasts all day I think it is worth it. I like how the mirror has a compact too with no brush compartment to take up room and I'll even forgive this cute compact collects shimmer and fluff on the outside ;)

I am naturally tanned, so this appeared more of a muted old rose color on my cheeks when applied alone. If I apply it on top of my bronzer and blend, it becomes a richer coral-rose color. It is pigmented, buildable, but a little bit on the pricey side. I've had mine for a good 6 months and have'nt hit the pan yet, so $28 is pretty much worth it! I still want to purchase more NARS blushes. Not really a fan of orgasm, but looking for the perfect coralish-pinkish color.

I have this blush along with a few others form NARS. Im AA and i use this blush often. Its described as a dusty rose but after a few hours the 'dustiness' wears off and its just straight rose. On me it pulls a little mauve and I'm not sure what thats about. I guess Thats just how it looks with my skin tone. I wouldn't repurchase but thats because i really do want a dusty rose color and with no purple in it. Swatches in my profile.

Nars Sheer Glow - Syracuse
This is the first blusher I have actually ever purchased and was more or less of an impluse buy but I love it! It gives a lovely natural look and the pigment is impressive so the pan lasts ages. I use it everyday and have done for months and months, yet the bottom of the pan hasn't shown through.
It does cost £20 but it's defo worth it. Highly recommended :)

I've been looking for a red blush to impart a Snow White flush, and that's exactly what this is. I'd avoided it based on the "dusty rose" description that made me think of my 80s era childhood bedroom walls. I suppose the description makes sense if you remove it from its interior decorating connotation -- the color is actually similar to dried red roses -- though dusty red would be a more apt description.
I haven't encountered difficulty in application. I have a Smashbox fan brush that I use for most NARS blushes that allows me to apply the densely pigmented ones lightly & precisely, imparting a natural flush.
On my skin, this is the color that I turn when I blush, which makes it not unique -- except in that it's a difficult shade to find in makeup.

I have and love Sin and Orgasm, and this one seemed like a nice medium in between the two. Upon first glance I actually thought it would be too similar to Sin and for years I passed it by until seeing a review on here.
The color is very, very natural, super close to what I look like when I flush (except a little less purple, so a little less ugly!). However, it's kind of touch to apply, even more so than Exhibit A. It's very, very easy to apply way too much, and if your skin is slightly tacky (moisturizer, sunscreen) it will blotch like crazy. I try to be sure to put extra powder over my cheek bones and use a super fluffy blush brush versus the relatively dense tapered one I have for Sin and Orgasm.
Bottom line: the color is great, but it's a PITA.

I purchased this from Sephora yesterday and I love it. It's a gorgeous color and actually shows up on my skin - gives me a nice pop of color instead of just blending into my skin like so many blushes seem to do. It's on the expensive side for a pan of blush, but is very pigmented, so a little goes a long way and it will last a long time.

my new fave blush EVER. It looks SO natural and in a way sun-kissed. It's not like a fake looking pink color like most. Its a deep pink with a hint of brown that looks so gorgeous on my pale yellow skin. It's matte. and i recommend DABBING (not swiping back and forth) your brush on the blush or you'll create fall out and waste product. Also if you swipe your brush back and forth you'll grab more product than you need and when you put it on you'll end up looking burned. One or two light dabs and that ENOUGH for both cheeks. That's how great the color pay off is. I agree with the bottom reviewer. When i put this on I though "this is what blush was supposed to look like all a long!"
I have acne prone combo skin and this blended very nicely on my dry/oily cheeks (half of my cheeks are oily, half dry)and I didnt break out from it. It didnt settle in my pores and made them look bigger. It lasted a good 4 hours on me. but most blushes last like 4 hrs on me. It blended out really nice and smooth. Which i'm not used too. I'd def repurchase.

First NARS blush. I literally sat in sephora for a half hour trying to decide which one, and I'm glad I decided on this one. It's a matte, which I love. No sparkles. Not pink or peachy. A lovely rosy/toasty color. Perfect for all skin colors.

I love love love this blush, especially in the fall and winter time. It gives you a very youthful and healthy look, like you've just been for a walk outside. I love the pigmentation, texture, lasting power, and colour of this blush. I would definitely recommend this blush to anyone that is willing to pay the hefty price. I would repurchase this blush, but I can't see myself running out of this product any time soon since you need so little due to the amazing pigmentation!
