I have mostly dry (only forehead gets oily) skin and I break out very easily. This product took it's time for me to get used to but I think now after using a whole jar I'm satisfied with it. It takes a long time to blend into skin because of how sticky/rich the texture is but I've noticed no new break outs because of this moisturizer.

My skin care routine involves:
-9-5 face cleanser from LUSH
-Spray some pure rose water as toner, let it dry
-This moisturizer
-A few times a day I spray the rosewater just as a skin-waker-upper

I would definetly repurchase this product, the only thing I'd like to change is the jar it comes in, seems very unhygenic so make sure you don't double dip.

I am so disappointed in the Derma E Very Clear line of products. I started out trying this moisturizer and gave it about 3-4 days and I liked the way it gave me a bit of a glow but not in a greasy way. After initially liking the moisturizer, I went ahead and bought the matching cleanser. I had such a nice pretty glow in the beginning but it went downhill after about a week. I tried the moisturizer and cleanser for a little over 2 weeks and I just couldn't stand it anymore. This basically made my skin worse, I was better off before I started using this. More and more, I slowly started getting breakouts. Also, the breakouts I already had just seemed to not heal, almost like this was preventing it from healing, which is so strange because this line is meant to clear up acne! The ingredients look so good for the skin that I am actually puzzled as to how my skin is not responding well to it. The line, especially the moisturizer, seemed to clog my pores, preventing it from breathing. I was using this on my neck and chest as well because I am also acne prone on my body and I didn't have great results with that either. There were a couple hot, humid days in the past couple weeks and I noticed both days when I spent the day outside, my chest started getting kinda ruddy/reddish and splotchy looking and then the next day, 1-2 huge zits would appear on my chest where it was splotchy. I have never had that reaction before, I think maybe with the heat and humidity, I was sweaty and this moisturizer wouldn't let my skin breathe and sweat naturally. That is my theory anyways, it's the only thing I can think of for how my skin reacted. I just couldn't stand to use this product anymore, my entire left cheek is covered in little under the skin bumps and I am horrified. My skin hasn't looked this bad in a while. I am hoping my skin will recover quickly now that I have stopped using this so I will update soon. Just wanted to write a warning for those with extremely acne-prone skin, please beware! Ps. I might try this again once my skin calms down to see what happens. I wasn't putting a thick layer or anything but maybe it'll help if I water it down with hydrosol or something.

I love Derma E company and I've been happy with many of their products, but this one I don't like at all. It's supposed to be for people with acne and yet it goes on so sticky. It feels sticky all day and it's really hard to rub into the skin - it clumps. It has a strong scent, as others mentioned, but the scent is not unpleasant and it doesn't bug me. I used it for about a week and then I couldn't take it anymore, my skin wasn't improving and it felt like it was clogging my pores it was so sticky. Try Derma E Hyularonic Acid Day Cream, it's much more silky and goes on well.

I've been having a terrbile time with adult acne lately. Been using this moisturizer for several weeks and I like it. Deals with any dryness or flakes, w/o being greasy, clogging my pores, or breaking me out. I like this a better than Derma E's Tea Tree and Vitamin E formula (this dries to a more matte finish, seems less greasy). I've been using this in conjunction with Derma E's new Vitamin A Pore Refining mask (not on M/U Alley yet). The mask REALLY helps. I've found it also double duties as an acne spot treatment, and if you apply a small amount and rub it in, a mattifier (yes, really!) :-)

I have dry to normal skin that's acne prone, so it's really difficult for me to find something that doesn't make me break out. This is NOT a heavy moisturizer. I've been using this for about a year and I REALLY like it. It moisturizes me enough and no breakouts. I do NOT plan to look for another moisturizer anytime soon. Although everyone is different, I HIGHLY recommend this for those who have problem skin.

LOVE THIS MOISTURIZER! It dents my pocketbook, but it works! I have acne and this in my regimen keeps me 99% clear -- skin loves tea tree. Works better than dermatologist regimen.

My goal is to have skin so beautiful I don't need makeup. This keeps my skin clear and makes me look like I'm wearing makeup. Seriously! My oily and dry parts are more balanced all day. I have acne and extreme combination skin. Throw in ultra sensitive skin and eyes. This doesn't irritate me. The tea tree smell only lasts about an hr. I don't mind. DH loves clear skin, so doesn't mind tea tree, ya know?!

Word to the wise -- make sure your hands/nails are impecably clean and don't double dip in the container. A little really does go a long way. I can cake this on any part of my face/neck with no problm, but it will buld up around my nose if I'm too heavy handed there. Even then I don't get breakouts; I just have to unclog the pore with a q-tip and pressure. Around my eyes get a little dry using this, so I dab a little jojoba under/around my peepers.

Bottom line -- this is how my face is supposed to look/act/feel.

EDIT: It clogs the pores around my nose; have to press/extract a few times a week. Eeck! And I got a bad batch. It smelled weird, almost spoiled. I don't use anymore.

I use this in conjunction with the cleanser. I give this product the same ratings as the cleanser since I am not sure which one made my skin better or worse. The moisturizer when used with the cleanser didn't irritate my skin and helped improved my overall complexion. But it migrated my acne from my t-zone to my cheeks. I do find it kind of thick so I dilute it with a drop of water or two and it spreads fine on my face. I am on the hunt for a better cleanser and moisturizer combination lately because although the derma e cleanser and moisturizer made my complexion better in the few past years I have used it than any other products, i still get sparse pimples on my face.

I have used this cream exactly 2x. And both times it actually CREATED problems! The first time I used it, I used it in conjunction with the matching face wash so I wasn't sure which was to blame. The first time I got a huge painful bump right above my mouth to the right of my nose which had no head and lasted for over a week. It was painfully obvious and very embarrassing.

I used the cream again last night (with a different face wash) and when I woke up I have another huge painful bump. This one is above my left eyebrow and the pores on my nose are clogged. Gross! I SO want my money back!

I also have to agree with the others, the cream is very thick and does not absorb well. It has a screw off cap so you have to stick your fingers in it. Not very hygienic!

Before I tried this I tried a ton of mousterizer and they all made my skin go crazy. This to me is perfect in every way except it's just way too thick and pasty. It helped clear my acne, moisterizes well, and last all day.

I just used this product for the very first time today. I looked at the cream and saw that the consistency was a bit.... thick.... especially for a face cream. I usually don't buy any face cream/lotions that are thick, I usually go for the lightweight moisturizers as they tend to moisturize without making my face feel heavy, or clogging up my pores. I applied this stuff on my face and was surprised that my skin absorbed this cream quite quickly. A little goes a long way with this facial moisturizer and it spreads very easily. It's been over an hour and my face does not feel the slightest oily (usually I would develop some oiliness by now.) It just feels soft. So far, I am liking the results. However, I've only used it once so I'll have to update in a week.
EDIT: I've used this moisturizer for over a week now, and I've noticed that I'm still getting pimples. I'm using a combination of products which include Derma E Glycolic Cleanser, Neutrogena Deep Clean Toner, Derma E Clear Skin moisturizer, Derma E Scar Gel and occasionally using the Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub. I don't know if it's the scar gel that's causing the pimples, but the Clear Skin moisturizer has kept my pimples smaller and less painful.
EDIT 2: I stopped using the Glycolic Cleanser and just used Spectro Jel cleanser along with Neutrogena Deep Clean Toner and Derma E Clear Skin moisturizer. The moisturizer has been the root of all my acne episodes! I stopped using it and my face has finally started to clear up some. I am now giving it 1 lippie

this is a pretty awesome moisturizer that is suitable for those with dry or oily skin. the main ingredients in this are water and tea tree oil. there are also a few other essential oils in the blend to help reduce blemishes.

this moisturizer has done a good job reducing my cystic acne without drying out my skin. however, it's not moisturizing enough for winter and my skin is very finicky so if i layer on another moisturizer my pores can get clogged.

anyway, i still have some under the skin painless red bumps, but this has helped reduce the number big painful cysts. one jar should last about 3-4 months.

I have acne prone skin, but still need a good moisturizer. I tried this one and i really like it. It is not greasy at all, has good moisturizing powers, absorbs quickly and it did not make me breakout.
The first time i used it i had a few small blemishes on my chin and i found this cream made them disappear faster than usual.
It has a strong tea tree smell, but your face doesn't smell after it has been absorbed.

This is a GREAT natural moisturizer for oily/acne prone skin. I (and my makeup) was melting in this Summer heat and my face was running off as sweat poured from me every time I left my house, so I asked the lady in the local beauty shop to recommend something for my skin type that would help my makeup to hold up when I don't use primer above or beneath it (which I haven't been because this Summer heat also has me breaking out and I am trying to minimize this). She recommended this.

I grabbed it at $13.00 and ran home to research it. It turns out that this is rated very high all over the web (oddly enough though, it was not listed here at all - lol). I have used it for the last two days, and while it has worked no miracles (I still sweat), I've used half the amount of makeup/foundation to cover my hyper-pigmentation marks from the recent breakouts and it held up through an exhausting band rehearsal in 90 degree heat without my makeup and moisturizer running off of my face and burning my eyes!

Will update in a few weeks, but I had given up on anything that felt good to my VERY sensitive skin (it seems even old staples aren't working anymore) and that would make a great makeup base for my minerals! It would seem that this is it!

*UPDATE*

I still really like this and it also makes a good night cream, but sometimes it is too thick under my makeup and if layered too heavily (alone or with other products) it can ball up and peel off when you rub your skin... All in all, I love this line, and my skin is clearer than usual, but I am going to have to use a light hand with this and a primer...I am also using the E & A/Tea Tree Oil cream from this line - alternating between the two. It is more emollient... May be back again, but I am certainly impressed enough with this line to use it exclusively for a month...
