I love this stuff and it's really hard to find, I hope it's not discontinued any time soon. This is almost weightless and prevents my hair from getting frizzy and static-y in bad weather (or in good) without causing any greasiness (like all the other anti-frizz products I've tried). It also seems to help hold the style.

I actually kind of like this, but it just doesn't work. It's a great concept, and at the time, I was praying that it would work, because my curls just frizzed like no tomorrow out in humidity no matter WHAT I put in it.
Nope, didn't work. Perfumed my hair, got clogged, and looked nice on a shelf, though.

My experience is summed up perfectly by yellowjello's review. This product simply didn't work for me. I get better results from my usual products, which are not advertised as being designed to keep the weather 'out' of my hair. This was a waste of time (the time I'd put into doing my hair that day, as it was ruined once I applied this product) and money for me.

This product doesn't completely eliminate frizz, but aside from serums that so easily get greasy and weigh down my fine/thick, wavy, porous, shortish (bangs to my jawline, layered sides gradiating to a short/shaggy/spiky pixie fringe in the back) hair that's generally dry but gets greasy very easily too, this is the only thing I've found besides gel (but this doesn't make it stiff, nearly as heavy, or substantially slow the time it takes to dry) that prevents frizz and weird poofy flyaway waves to my bangs when I let my hair air-dry (on days when I decide not to fry it with a hair drier to give it a break). I haven't been able to find a leave-in conditioner that works this well yet.
It doesn't do wonders for volume but gives great shine and hasn't made my hair greasy no matter how much I've used. I'd give this a 5 if it completely eliminated frizz and didn't make my hair air dry so flat that it necessitates products (I really like Marc Anthony Instantly Thick Cream for volume, a bit of Alberto Clay to tease some extra volume into it, and Alberto Gum for stronger texture/lift - Alberto Gum also holds up to damp hair that's been crushed by a hood to keep rain off it, though it'll still flatten like all products you can easily fluff it back up to nearly it's original volume once it dries a bit which is odd because it washes out so easily in the shower, but if left to its own devices can last and give volume to hair for days..this is the only thing I've found giving natural hold and great volume so far that can get me through rain/snow, which makes a huge difference on short hair. Short, fine, FLAT hair generally does not look good).
EDIT 3/8/11: I've found that Live Clean Argan Oil Conditioner is the only thing that completely eliminates my frizz without weighing down my hair at all (though you should only sleep on your hair with it once it's completely dried, or it'll likely turn out weird..but once it's dry it's fine). With that conditioner, I don't need to use anything else in my hair afterward (and it's sulfate/silicone/cruelty-free - detangles/moisturizes extremely well too)..and it smells like cocoa butter! I can use that conditioner on my hair when dried to, and once it soaks in it makes my hair soft/smooth (I've never used too much, but you do have to wait for it to soak in on dry hair). However, that doesn't seem to do as much for the ends of my hair as something with silicone does (because that coats the hair, and makes it glossier), but for the rest of my hair it's miraculous!
EDIT 6/25/11: After noticing my fine, porous hair beginning to become dried out and start to break off I eliminated products with sodium hydroxide (diluted lye, used to relax hair or balance ph in products) which I didn't previously notice this had - and that is not something I'd want to leave in my hair, let alone sometimes add to it once it's already dry. I still use the Live Clean Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner (I used the conditioning mask now as it's thicker and more deeply moisturizing, but still doesn't weigh down my hair) with great results, and once I'm out of the shower I add some Live Clean Fresh Water Leave-In Conditioner, Live Clean Smooth & Shine Cream, and finish with L'Oreal Indestructible Ultra Strong Hold Gel (though it has alcohol in it, it's the only thing I've found that I can use in my hair and even sleep on while it's wet yet still have my short layered bob with cropped/spiked back come out nearly as well as if I'd blow-dried it - it perfectly shapes/straightens my normally wavy hair as if I'd heat styled/set it even when I sleep on my hair wet, which is amazing as sleeping on damp hair generally makes me look like Edward Scissorhands the next day. I just have to comb it out the next morning so it's not stiff, and it doesn't even feel like there's anything in my hair. If it was alcohol free it'd definitely be my HG and I'd never bother trying anything else - though I still haven't found anything nearly as great, especially for the price. I barely ever have to use additional product to give it volume anymore, and haven't blow-dried it in months!).

This style "sealant" creme did not work on my hair at all! I have tried using a little product on wet hair one day...then a little product on dry hair the next. I have also tried using a medium amount of product on wet hair one day...then a medium amount on dry hair the next. I then tried a HUGE amount of product on wet hair and then a HUGE amount of product on dry hair. I also tried to use this on days with different humidity levels from 80% to 0% humidity....rain....and shine. What I am trying to say is there is no way I have mis-used or not used this product correctly... it just plain flat out does not work! My hair was just as frizzy and had tons of fly-aways as when I didn't use this product. I could actually feel how my hair was still absorbing moisture throughout the day so there is no way this SEALS out weather! I have stubborn porous hair apparently so if you have the same don't waste your money on this product.

This is a must have in the spring and summer, otherwise my hair is a frizzy mess. It really does defy any humidity, as long as you use enough of it. This is one of the few styling products I've used that doesn't make my hair feel crunchy if I use too much. The only con I can think of is the residue left on your hands after using it, but that's easily washed off and once dry, this leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth.

The things I know about John Frieda; he was married to Lulu, and he was the first 'celebrity hairstylist' to bring serums to the mainstream. I hadn't had much luck using his other stuff, but won't go off topic, but saw this weather proof stuff while I was on holiday in wet n wild North Yorkshire at a friends and if there is a place you need to weather proof your style, its there. That, and the fact that I am a hair colour addict, and the current black dye is over about two lots of bleach, a red and a brown colour, and I have naturally frizzy hair that I wear short and straight with a fringe that looks cool but longs to jut out at alarming angles. It was also very cheap in Tesco at around £2.50 reduced from full price. I found getting the pump to dispense, without leaving my hands slippier than an eel in vaseline quite tricky but managed it eventually, and followed the instructions. I have found with serums, a little goes a very long way, and trust is the most important thing. If a product calls for a pea sixed amount, use a pea sized amount, or you will have grease you can't pass off as shine. I dried my hair and ran over it with the straighteners and proceeded to the main event of the day, going out and having fun. and in the morning, and on the subsequenting drunken Facebook pics, my hair (rather than I) looked fabulous. So it stayed, until two days later when I washed it. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. To have perfectly behaved hair, day after day, shower and wind and rain splattered, is such a good feeling. Feels like normal swingy hair! Buy it!

This works surprisingly well on my 3C curls. John Frieda products usually wreak havoc on my hair, but this somehow works. The formula is light and slippery, and I can either apply it as a styling cream on freshly washed hair or as a pick-me-up the day after. It gives me shiny, bouncy and defined curls. Scent is light and pleasant and it dissipates quickly. Will repurchase. EDIT ONE YEAR LATER: still loving it. It smells absolutely fabulous!

I like this. It is not a miracle product. But it does smell reaaaaally good and I love the way it feels in my hair. Very smooth, slippery texture. Doesn't do much for frizz or humidity but it does remove tangles and smoothes my hair. Can be applied to dry hair to freshen up. I don't love it but it's definitely not terrible.

This so-called sealant creme doesn't perform as advertised. I know it's not my hair, since I can get the results I want with other products. It only made my hair sticky, and actually kept other products from working as well as they normally would. My hair is big, but not from my volumizer. It's not even that humid outside! Don't bother wasting your money :(

The humidity has kicked up here in Michigan, so I decided to try this product after a very long time of wondering if it really worked. Wow. I was disappointed beyond my wildest dreams! Not only did it do nothing, it did the exact opposite of what it was supposed to! I did nothing different with my hair except use this product. It dried the daylights out of it, it was full of static, un-ruly, etc., etc. I definately will not repurchase!!

I use this on my ends and length of my hair. I dont understand why so many people hated this. Maybe dont use so much?? I only put it on my ends ad length of my hair, not near my roots. It does a great job of sealing out the humidity in spring/summer. I would buy this again.

I must be special, because this stuff works well for me. It's winter and cold here now so i'm not currently having too much trouble with my hair, but in the summer i do have lots of trouble keeping my hair straight-- it usually fluffs right back up into a curly mess as soon as i step out into the humidity (or even just dry heat!), no matter how much time i spend straightening it. i started using this and it kept it straight usually throughout the whole day. i'll probably buy again but it lasts a long time and i only use it through half the year anyway...

This is not a miracle product, but it definitely makes my hair smoother. After towel-drying my hair, I comb it through my hair and twist it up in a bun. When I get up in the morning my hair tumbles out in smooth waves that do not frizz up during the day.

I have color treated shoulder length wavy hair that I usually style straight or curled. I noticed nothing new when I used it the first few times. However, when I started applying more than I thought I needed, I got much better results. Initially I was applying this like it was a serum so not using very much. Now I use about 3 pumps and that seems to do the trick. It doesn't weight down your hair at all, but it also doesn't add much styling power. I used it today in the rain, and mostly my hair stayed straight except for one little curl that cropped up next to my face. Actually my hair was a little TOO soft and slippery. I couldn't stop touching it all day which was kind of annoying and made me look like I had a nervous tick. Anyway, probably won't repurchase. I prefer the john frieda heat protection serum. Love that.

I wish I could give this a lower rating. It does absolutely nothing. It didn't make my hair smoother or less frizzy and it doesn't repel humitidy in the least. There are SO many other better products out there. Don't waste your money like I did.

Well, I am happy to read I am not alone.
Tried this product this morning for the first time with high hopes and I swear, my hair looks as ugly as ever.
I have thin blonde hair naturally waved, and I always style it straight (sometimes with a flat iron, but not today).
Today it's a normal day, not so humid, just OK, and I expected my hair to look great today, in addition with the "weather works" I thought it will hold the style perfectly for day! so WRONG!
My hair today is like a cotton ball: fluffy, electrical, tangled, dull, opaque: a complete mess.
I regret having tried this product. A big NO for me!

This shampoo/conditioner/styling creme set only helps my fine yet thickly dispersed hair when the weather report says the humidity will be above 85% for the day (Eg, thunderstorms are forecasted). In those cases, it works better than a standard de-frizz shampoo. Any other day, however, this makes my hair feel disgusting and I'll have visible flyaways. It's very odd. If I use it more than a couple days in a row, I can tell it starts building up... while it works better then, it makes my hair feel gross, so I will not buy again. It is good for occasional use in high humidity though.

I have fine, curly, thin hair and just a little of the cream does wonders. I use with the shampoo and conditioner in this line and I love the results. Soft, piecey curls--just what I want--does not overwhelm or way down.

For those of you who aren't getting great results with this, try using it on dry hair. I know the instructions say to apply when hair is damp but it's been working well for me and I've just been lightly smoothing a couple pumps onto my hair after it's been straightened. No frizz and it looks smooth all day. I've yet to use it on damp hair because I've only had it for a couple days, but I hope this method will work for somebody else!
