This is has been my go-to tinted moisturizer for years. I've tried Bobbi Brown (oxidizes into a yellow/orange color and is too thick for my taste), Laura Mercier (it was fine and occasionally broke me out but it was still good), Missha BB cream (way too heavy & broke me out), and Dr. Jar+ BB cream (way too heavy and left a white cast on my face).

This is my favorite. Light, smells wonderful, beautiful color that doesn't oxidize, has light/medium coverage, feels SO NATURAL. Makes me skin look so dewy even though my skin is not the dewy type *at all*. It takes a couple of tries to get the application technique down. It dries quickly so work fast! I use a foundation brush and it works great.

Coverage looks pretty good for about 5-7 hours which is pretty good for a tinted moisturizer. What I love the most is that it doesn't break me out -- and, believe me, basically everything breaks me out. Love mineral make up!

Purchased this to conceal my rosacea from my dermatologist office. it appears very sheer and natural the first hour it is on. But quickly turns into an oily mess. to hide my rosacea i was encouraged to apply amazing base on top of the dream tint to better conceal the redness. within an hour my face was grossly oily and I couldnt stand it!! I like a matte finish but was really disappointed in this felt it made my skin oilier then it really is. I would say I have combination skin, with oily t - zone, and sensitive. But the days I used this I was just straight up oily. Big disappointment.

I love love love this make up! It really is very innocent looking and most importantly has only natural ingredients in its content. It leaves my skin nicely dry and velvety and I am generally having quite oily skin. I really like how it feels on my skin - as if I am not wearing anything at all - but at the same time evens the tone. I was using mineral powder until now, but it made my skin look a mess in just few hours. With Dream tint my face looks matte even in hot summer weather.

If I could change just one thing about it, this would be the smell - I don't mind it being flowery, but there is some strange, kind of goat milk note... I am not sure what it is, but I don't like it.

Given all the other good features of this product, the smell really is not a big issue to me. I am really happy I bought this moisturiser.

The texture and coverage are very light. I need to use a creme underneath, so it's not much of a mousturiser for me. The tint is so sheer it's really undetectable, so there's really no point in using it (I like sheer dewy finishes but this does nothing really). Also this product contains silicon and I would expect silicon free from ji. Would not buy again.

I love this tinted moisturizer and it works great with my skin. Sometimes I'm rushed for time or just want a fast foundation it works fabulous! Though it doesn't have high coverage but I like the light texture and I can blend smoothly. I've used 2 bottles already so far!

I really like how it smells and how my skin fell with it on. Since it doesn't cover very much and I usually use concealer where I need most and finish off with the Jane Iredale pure pressed powder. I have sensitive skin that can easily break out and this product has been good in keeping me clear. I like the fact that it's lightweight and doesn't make me feel like I'm wearing layers and layers of makeup.

I wanted to like this too - and splurged at the salon for this...

Although it feels wonderful on my skin, it doesn't "do" a whole lot in terms of either being a foundation or a good moisturizer.

Only reason I've given it a "3" as an overall rating is because it does feel really nice on my skin, but other than this - I wouldn't buy it again, because as I said - for the price, this doesn't really do a whole lot.

Not worth the price, imo.

What a lovely product. I bought this after my eyebrow whisperer used it on me -- I wore it for the rest of the afternoon, and every time I saw my reflection I thought, "Hell, I look fabulous," so I went right back and bought it. It dries to a soft-matte finish that doesn't necessarily need to be powdered, though I do use blotting papers on my T-zone every few hours. Other makeup plays nicely with it (I mix my metaphors, thank you, as I'm a huge fan of Nyx blush), though it does require the use of an eyelid primer if I'm going to wear eye shadow. It doesn't settle into any fine lines and it doesn't scream "I'm wearing makeup!" But I look perfectly polished and even. It lasts well, even when I have allergies and I blow my nose a lot. It doesn't oxidize or turn orange on me, and it washes off completely and easily with cleanser. The squeeze-tube packaging is nice as well, as it allows me to use as little or as much as I want. I will definitely repurchase.

I really wanted to love this product. I normally wear mineral makeup, but as I get older, I notice sometime that my mineral makeup settles into my fine lines. I bought Dream Tint in the lightest shade, and have to say that the coverage is extremely minimal. My skin tone is fairly even, but I do have some old acne scars and sunspots. This does nothing to cover any of those. The texture is nice, but I can't say the product provided much moisture. I may use this on weekends, but for better coverage, I will go back to my loose mineral makeup.

I wanted to love this one, but it was too fickle to stay in my makeup bag. When I get the application perfect, it smooths my skin out perfectly and dries to a radiant powder finish. When I screw it up, it gums up and make my skin flaky.

Smells slightly floral and dries quickly, so you need to know exactly where it's going when you apply. Color is sheer and forgiving so I can use Light Medium year-round, even when I have to change colors in other foundations.

I almost did not purchase this product based on the review about consistency and difficult application. It arrived on Friday and I was very excited to try it out. My skin is pretty good and I just needed a little something to smooth out a bit of redness. It applied VERY easily with my finger tips. I was very perplexed by the previous poor reviews about difficulty applying. Either they received product from a different (inferior) lot or they work for a competing company. I had absolutely no problems with consistency or applying this makeup. The smell was fine. It was slightly makeup-y but went away as soon as it dried. I loved how it melded into my skin within minutes-- as the reviews say-- your skin, but better. However, 4 days later, I am definitely dealing with breakouts. :-( I won't be buying this again for this reason and it's clear my rosacea/acne-prone/sensitive skin needs to stay with strictly mineral products...

I purchased this in Light along with a few other JI products. This gets 3 lippies due to difficulty with achieving consistent application results. Sometimes it goes on smooth and sheer and other times blotchy and streaky. During the bad application times, my pores are really noticeable. My thought was the product was separating so I shake the tube well to mix. This did help a bit, but did not resolve it totally. I apply with a MAC 187 brush in downward strokes, it works better for me than using my fingers.
The PROs are; I do not break, I do not need a primer (when it applies good), and finishing powder is not absolutely necessary.
The CON is consistent application results. I indicated that I will purchase again, but it is more a maybe.
UPDATE: My moisturizer which has Shea oil in it was causing the uneven application. I'm upping the lippies.

I really hoped this would be my "it"-moisturizer, but I don't think it's meant to be. It seems to be moisturizing enough for my skin, and the color (Medium) matches my now tanned skin very well, but it feels kind of heavy once on a face, and it looks like I have make up on, whereas I got this product precisely not to look like I have any make up. I have only used it twice so far, and it didn't break me out, but I also just learnt that algae (a first ingredient listed on a tube of Dream Tint) is very comedogenic, so it will probably clog my pores if used regularly :((

I will give it couple more tries, and then will pass it on to my mom or to my sister for a try.

Love this tinted moisturizer because it feels so good on my sensitive skin and it can work as a substitute for foundation. The packaging is nice, the customer service at Jane Iredale is great and it has healthy ingredients. I would have given it a 5, but there's a bit of a learning curve to applying it - you need to put it on with downward strokes and I find using a small foudation brush helpful.

NOTE : I am editing my review based on my trial of a chemical sunscreen after using this.

As other reviewers have pointed out, this product has sort of a dry consistency and is difficult to spread. However, I think that may just be the price you pay for using a physical sunscreen like titanium dioxide rather than a chemical one such as avo. (I have tried other titanium dioxide based sunscreens and they will all give you a little bit of a pale cast. This is honestly one of the better ones out there.) I liked the smell of this product and the fact that it did not irritate my skin or cause blemishes. I did not like the difficulty of use but after the amount of BURNING that the chemical sunscreen I tried yesterday caused, I think this sunscreen wins and I will continue to purchase.

Definitely not moisturizing. I bought this hoping to use it as a one-step product, but I cannot apply it to my bare face. It is much too dry and doesn't spread right....I end up with bumpy splotches of pigment all over. It defeats the reason I wanted it. However, I have tried it over my regular moisturizer, which is an SPF 30, and I have to say, it does make my face look "better". It just looks kind of fresh and smooth. But not right away. It's almost like it needs some time to sink in or something. I also think on some days it makes me much more oily than I usually am. Hard to say why. Other days it doesn't seem so bad. I usually use Jane Iredale pressed powder but was feeling lately like I was looking too 'powdery', so although this product is not the throw-it-on-your face and get out the door product I was hoping for, I can't deny that I like the way my face looks when I use it. I took it on vacation with me and it was great for a quick hardly-any-makeup look.
EDIT: I had to up the lippies on this. I have been using it more regularly and I guess I have gotten over the fact that I have to use my regular moisturizer underneath and this is just never going to be something I can put on my dry, bare face. However, it is such a nice product and makes my face look so much 'nicer' in a very natural sort of way. I think I may have actually been using too light a shade. I had it in Medium Light (I am light olive), and recently got a sample of Medium which looks even better. I like the squeeze-tube packaging - easy to dispense the right amount, it's easy to apply, and really easy to travel with....no brushes needed, no bulky heavy compact. I also think the oiliness I previously mentioned was due to a night moisturizer I was using, and not this product. If you're looking for a TM, I would give this a try.

Really appreciating this product, however, I'm with-holding a lippy, pending wearing it for longer, and further observing the results. So far, I'm loving the velvet-like coverage, and the fact that the shade "Light" is and wears like it claims to be, and not some strangely 'off' undertone shade of orange, pink or yellow. I examined this finish with a magnifying mirror and while it didn't hide my pores, it has a very nice, smooth finish. A brush application helps with layering this on effectively, too. Has a 'herbal' scent that fades once this product dries. Bottom line: I love wearing this, and love what this does for and to my skin. For me, well worth the extra $$ for the fab finish!.

This is the best sheer tinted moisturizer I found. I love the fact that it is very light and that my face does not itch with it. I use the Medium-Light and use it as a base for my Pure Pressed Base.

Works good as a tinted moisturizer if you have good skin. If you have discoloration or tend to break out then I recommend that you use this as a primer or base for Jane Iredales loose or pressed minerals. This product contains dimethicone which holds moisture in your skin and protects for enviromental damage which is great!

I put yes to the question if I'd buy again --- it's more like a 'maybe'. I bought this in Peach. It is not moisturizing, but does give a subtle glow to your skin. I use it on my cheek area to enhance my blush (kinda like a primer).
