This is a very finely milled powder that applies very nicely to my combination/oily skin. I use it a lot during the summer when I want reapply sunscreen (it has SPF 24), so it`s been a life-saver for me in the sense that it stays put, looks great, and even after I`ve been out and about at the end of a long summer day I look in the mirror and I am surprised that my face still looks matt and velvety. It also has pretty high coverage, so unless I`m having a pretty bad day, I won`t usually need to conceal when I wear it. A little pricey, but worth it. In the morning I set my make-up with Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder which looks great initially, but 2 hours later there`s no trace of it. That`s when my trusty L`Occitane starts working for me.

If you are wanting even skin tone and a bit of coverage this product is wonderful for these purposes. I use this with the Rice Ultra Matte Face Fluid and these products combined last for aproximately 8 hours with no retouching in between. I have combination skin, and I do break out when I am stressed but this powder I feel helps my skin more than anything. Definitely will keep buying this product!

I was looking for a very good powder foundation in order to replace the Kanebo total finish (old edition). I still had a compact from 2002 and was using it now and then especially when my skin reacted badly to something or I had hormonal skin issues. I didn’t want to buy the new edition as the formula has changed and it is not as good as the old one. I hoped that l’Occitane powder foundation, being made for the Asian market, would have the same features of the old Kanebo. Well, let me say, it is not bad. It is actually very good. But it is not the right one for my skin and my complexion. It is very finely milled and beautiful to apply. At first my skin looks gorgeous flawless and velvety like with the old Kanebo. But after few hours it melts and turns in to a strange yellow tone and doesn’t keep oil at all, leaving my face “naked”. And second: the colours are very yellow based.
Anyway I give 4 stars because, beside of the bad lasting power on oily skin, I think that this is a gorgeous powder foundation though and it would be wonderful for normal to dry skin with a golden/yellow undertone. Now I use it as setting powder when I want the pale geisha look and/or for touch ups

I didn't like this foundation because it makes my face feel sticky after a couple of hours. Yes, my face looks nice 5 minutes after I applied it but a couple hours later my face started to get oily and this powder foundation doesn't do anything. It's break me out too. It was my mother's and I tried to use it because she like it so much (she have a dry skin) and I think it doesn't suit my normal to oily skin. I won't use this product anymore.

This is the best powder foundation I've used so far. It's made in Japan, so you can buy it only in Asian L'Occitane.
Actually I didn't think that this brand may have good make-up, because it specializes on body care products. But recently I went to L'Occitaine to get something for skin care and I saw this powder foundation and approached to the stand to try it. When I applied it on my hand, I was amazed how smooth it goes and how good is the coverage and the color. I decided to give it a try and purchased it. Well, I didn't make a mistake. Moreover, it turned to be a perfect foundation for me. This is a pressed powder foundation, which makes it very convenient to apply at any moment during the day and I don't need another layer of powder over it. It was formulated by Japanese specially for Asian skin! Though, it's very good on my skin also, in most light shade. Just like it said, it glides on easily over skin and naturally covers all the imperfections, leaving skin smooth and soft. It also has UVA/UVB double block SPF 27 - PA++ and doesn't contain any fragnance.
Of course the packaging is not so chick as the lux brands, but I found it cute, neat and convenient. And with a good sized mirrow.
