Love This conditioner !!!!!
I'd been using the redken extreme conditioner (which i think is good) on my slightly dry/normal hair with chemical damaged (bleaching) ends and thought i would try something else. I'm so glad I did because i like this even more than the redken extreme. It left my hair soft, shiny, even stronger feeling, works well on my damage too. It really just left my hair in optimal form. I havnt tried the shampoo but i am interested in it even though i have heard some negative reviews (heard good ones too though. I going to try the all soft redken shampoo in conjunction with this as I have heard really great things about that.

This conditioner is very average. The drugstore offers plenty of comparable products at a fraction of the price. Don't waste your money.

My stylist recommended this conditioner for my thick, coarse, naturally curly, dry, long hair. She said it combined all the best things of Redken’s All Soft, Extreme, and Smooth Down lines. I really loved that although this conditioner is thick in my hands, it spreads throughout my hair very well. It smells pleasant, and conditions very well without weighing down my curls. The only downside is the cost. I’ve tried a lot of drugstore brand conditioners, but wasn’t finding anything that came close to Real Control, until I tried John Frieda Frizz-Ease Smooth Start Hydrating Conditioner, and now I’ll never go back. John Frieda is much cheaper, the formula is richer, creamier and smooths down frizz and shapes my curls better than Redken.

I switched from All Soft to Real Control at the advice of my hairdresser, after getting heavy blonde highlights woven through my hair. I have VERY thick, voluminous, bra-strap length hair that is between curly and wavy. I also heat process it quite a bit.
Real Control moisturizes my hair well and it has kept split ends at bay. It doesn't detangle my hair perfectly, but I have a lot of hair so that's to be expected. I like the scent. Doesn't weigh my hair down at all. No complaints! I'll keep using.

I already did a review for the matching shampoo. The conditioner isn't any better. This also made my thick, wavy, coarse/dry hair feel yucky.
I am one that likes to use the matching shampoo and conditioner from the same brand. Redken made the shampoo and conditioner in different size bottles, which I think should be the same size.

This possibly has to be the greatest conditioner ever (with or without combined to the shampoo, ive had experience with both). I have very long, medium hair in a huge amount, I have so much hair I could make 3 wigs-it is very voluminous and naturally wavy. Never dyed, dark brown.
Light texture really hydrates my hair and doesn't leave a 'silicone' feeling when rinsed out. It doesn't weigh down my hair, so by the second day, my hair is still bouncy and doesn't make me produce more oils (like some shampoos and conditioners can do).
It does need to be left in the hair for about 3-5 minutes before rinsed out. I don't need to use other hair treatments with this if I chose not to.
Smells good, very pleasant chemical smell. normal plastic bottle with flip top lid.
It is a very expensive conditioner in Australia, at about $21 for 250ml. I was lucky enough to buy a 1L bottle in the US for $28. Cheering!

Hands down this is the best conditioner for my hair out there. I have a lot of hair, but it is fine, tangly, dry, sensitized... In other words without proper conditioner it is a frizzy mess. I tried all the brand names and drug store stuff, and nothing seemed to work. Dove came close, but this is the real winner. I will re-purchase, absolutely.

I got this for free and I'm so glad I did! I think I would've never bought this or anything else from Real Control -range but now...
This is hands down the BEST conditioner I've ever tried! First time I left this on for maybe 10 minutes and when I washed it... My hair has never been that soft! I had given up the hope of ever finding a deasant conditioner, treatments are a different story. My hair is so dry that conditioners never do much anything so I use treatments as conditioner also.
I was still a bit sceptic after the first try and next time left the conditioner on for only arounf 5 minutes (that's my usual time for conditioner) and again super soft hair! So ladies, this really WORKS!

I love Redken products, they are pretty much the only hair products I use but I wasn't impressed with this conditioner. I figured I'd give it a shot since I only relax my hair 2 or 3 times a year and it seemed like it would be great for managing my super tight 3C coils, kinks, and curls in between.
It was mediocre at best.
It smells great and is quite thick, and it did make my hair way less frizzy and soft and pretty easy to comb through but my hair felt stripped and stiff afterwards. I used the whole bottle, thinking maybe I needed to give it time but after about 2 months and no significant change in my hair other than looking dull, I decided this will not be a repurchase.

i've tried every conditioner out there like the detangling solution by matrix, the conditioner by paul mitchell, strength conditioner by paul mitchell and nothing has given me the results like real control. i have fine straight hair that's color treated and this product actually detangles my hair and leaves it soft, shiny, and healthy looking.

My hair is really thick with a whole lot of fine strands.
It's really dry and damaged due to coloring and I bought this in a giftset along with the schampoo and Redkens Power Straight.
I got really dissapointed, for the price I paid I would have expected a lot more then just average, drug-store-brand-results.
+ Classic clean packaging.
- Not very moisturizing.
- Surprisingly cheap ingrediences for such an expensive lable, really just cones and fatty alcoholes. Parkii Shea Butter aswell, but far down the ingredience list.
- Doesn't provide any slip, though lots of cones.
- It doesn't matter if you leave it as a treatment, it doesn't seem to penetrate the hairshaft.
- Doesn't smell as good as the schampoo.
I won't buy it again, I wouldn't have even if it was half the price (Redken's really expensive in Sweden).

I absolutely love this line. I bought the holiday gift set at Ulta that includes a shampoo, conditioner and trial size mask. I have extremely dry natural 4a/b hair that I wear flat-ironed. My hair felt super-moisturized after I rinsed and was easy to detangle. After blowdrying and flatiron my hair was incredibly soft and remained that way days after. I have found perfect conditioner for my hair

I hoped that this would counteract the drying effects of the shampoo, but, just like the shampoo, it didn't have the effect I wanted it to have. Which made me sad. D:

Seemed very watered down...did not help to moisturize or detangle my curly hair. Had high expectations after reading generally positive reviews, but suppose this is not good for my hair type (long, thin, naturally curly hair).

Purchased as a gift set during the holidays for around $10 usd at Jc Penneys. This has worked well for my thick/dense fine hair, providing just the right amt of moisture. Keeping it weighted just enough that my frizzies or fly-aways stay put. Still a little too much for my bang area, but that's to be expected with annoying fine hair. I like this one a lot, and my hair is easier to manage.

I have incredibly fine, wavy, shoulder-length hair that breaks at the slightest provocation. I've been attempting to grow my hair out from an extremely short cut for about to years now. It's incredibly difficult for me to do this, as I have always been under the impression that unless I've done something to change the texture or color of my hair, it looks bad. What I end up doing is using a blow drier daily, always using some sort of heat styler such as a flat iron or large barrel curling iron, and the end result over months of doing this is seriously dry, frizzy hair that's peppered with fragile and split ends. Thus, my need for a great conditioner! I've read enough reviews from different people that 'Real Control' is less than spectacular, but, personally, I couldn't agree less. I don't have issues with oily scalp and can use this conditioner on an every-other-day basis with no issues. It doesn't leave my hair weighted down (or leave grease-slicks like 'All Soft' did) or interfere in any way with my application of other styling products that do contain some sort of silicone (which layering silicone based products can, and often does, have the result of giving the opposite affect than what you were looking for - as in, flat, dull, greasy, lifeless, and loaded with flyaways). I use a fairly heavy hand with application of the conditioner after having washed my hair twice (and I never bother using the exact same product line shampoo - I use cheap, but good, John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette), and rake the glob of conditioner through my hair (using care not to work it into or onto my scalp), being sure to untangle any and all knots with my fingers. I've even gone as far as combing it through in the shower. I'm always sure to leave it on a good 3-5 minutes, and then I rinse it out THOROUGHLY. When I get out of the shower, I have no problems getting a comb through my hair or styling with ease later. Please note, I don't have super-highlighted hair, nor is my hair bleached or lightened in any way. It's just dry, fine, and wavy (and wavy is always naturally dry on the ends). I can't see why this product wouldn't do wonders for someone else with the same set of circumstances.

I am an African American with shoulder length relaxed hair. I liked Redken's Real Control Conditioner because it made my hair feel very silky. I was experiencing some breakage and had my ends trimmed recently. I was not looking forward to another trim, so I questioned my stylist about what product would work for my hair. I washed my hair and air dried it - the end results - great! I don't know if this product will work for all African American hair, but it is worth the try. It is not cheap, but do the sisters really care.- we want shiny and bouncy hair too!

Since I'm now using a rinse regularly on my hair, I decided to use this conditioner with the Real Control shampoo. I am a bit disappointed with its lack of moisturizing. Once I towel dry my hair, I must use the Real Control styling cream to comb it out. Then my hair looks very nice, full-bodied. I don't want to have to use this third product, however. A conditioner should condition, and I think that this conditioner is a weak link in this three-piece Real Control group of products. The product is difficult to get out of the bottle, and I fail to understand why certain companies appear to be making the bottles for conditioners smaller than the ones for shampoo. I always need more conditioner than shampoo (lots of hair) and so I'll no doubt finish this conditioner long before the shampoo. I won't re-purchase so I'll probably mate the poo with Biolage conditioning balm which works well all the time for me.
I'd read good reviews and wanted this Redken product to be a keeper. I love their cream shampoo and allsoft conditioner, but this line isn't right for me.
