This product has its plus and minus sides. The color is quite rich and the smudger is soft enough to smudge and feel nice against your eyelid, but is not too soft to work with it precisely. On the other hand, I wouldn't say that this eye liner works well when using it over eye shadow. Somehow then the color becomes very pale and I really have to work it over and over again to get the desired look. It also doesn't last too long and isn't good for using on the waterline.

this eyeliner is way tooo soft for me, I just can't put it on precisely, I always end up trying to put it on then removing it, then trying again and removing it again...

It's a great idea to have the smudger handy. I really like it because I apply makeup traveling by bus or metro... BUT, the formula is horrible. It is very soft, and at the beggining you think it has a nice dark color, but, if you try to smudge it... It just dissapears and becomes uneven on your skin.
If you skip smudging it...it will dissapear within the next two hours...

I actually use it this way: apply generously on lid, smudge a little bit along the lash line, apply black eyeshadow to seal it. This makes it wearable... but I was really expecting more from this product. Sealing with eyeshadow is a MUST for this liner... :(

I never use it for waterline, because that is just a waste of time...It won't last more than 5 minutes on!

I absolutely love this eyeliner. I use so much for my top eyelid and i love how it comes with a smudge side i have it in the brown shade.

I really love this eyeliner, but I only use it for my waterline. And I wouldn't use a pencil liner for my lash line in general so for me this eyeliner is great. It goes on smoothly. It doesn't last extremely long but for me it lasts longer than Too Faced lava gloss.

I like the rubber smudger but have barely used the liner because it is really hard to apply smoothly with out pulling and it doesnt go on very well.

Okay, I'll admit that I just opened this up this morning and I've only used it once. But I really loved it. The color is actually really good. Not so dark...more subtle that typical black. It has a nice consistency, and was really easy to apply. I have it in a purply color too. I'll try that one tomorrow.

Ugh, I hate giving bad reviews but this product totally deserves it. It tugs and pulls. The color is not that great. Black? No, more like a dirty color. I looked like I had something smudged on my eye, not eyeliner. The rubbery tip? Hated it. I threw it away. Sorry.

This khol eyeliner is a pretty standard khol eyeliner but with good pigmenation.No tugging of the eye to apply more color. It applies smoothly and evenly and is a true dark black color.Its great eyeliner for the price and comparable to sephora's and mac liners..The staying power of it was quite good as well.It didnt wear off that much after 7 hours.You wont be able to acheive a thin precise line with this eyeliner(try a liquid liner) but it perfect if you want a thicker line or smokier finish to your eyes as you'll be able to smudge khol liners.

I had high hopes for this, wish I had read the reviews though because it is an awful eyeliner. The color does not go on smoothly at all, lot of tugging. I threw mine away.

Got this one in black and it is not very pigmented at all.Once it is smudge it just makes my eyes look dirty.It refuses to give me a straight line and wears off after a fews hours even with TFSI.I did use mine all up,not because I wore it alot,but because everytime I go to sharpen it it would break off and crumble on me.

I love AVON's Ultra Luxury Liners (pencil) and their liquid eyeliners, so thought this one was going to be cut from the same mold, but not so, imo, anyhow. I got the BLACK and when i put it on it was like a "watered down black"...not pigmented at all like the ULL are. After I applied it, it looked like I had slept in eyeliner. I had got 2 of them because they were like $2 each. I gave them to my niece since her mom is beginning to allow her to wear makeup right now, but nothing too dark. So, Ithought this would work for her. So, it would be a good "starter" eyeliner for young girls, I guess.

Unlike most of the bad reviews below i actually was quite pleased with this. The lead is soft and nice to draw with. Colour is well pigmented. Does smudge a bit - so don't cry if you have it on - but I can deal with it. I don't break it when I sharpen it. The smudger looks nice, though I don't use it myself. I now have it in the other colour (dark brown? It is a browny shade, but I forgot the name) as well. I think it is now discontinued, so I picked up at a sale price, even nicer!! It is actually one of my most pleasant experiences with eyeliner pencil...

I'm not a big fan of black eyeliners because they are usually too dark. But this is a beautiful soft black. It's not too dark at all. It goes on smooth. The line is perfect. It looks great on.

I don't understand why this is getting such a bad rating. I love this eyeliner.

These Kohls suck. I'm used to soft lead on eyeliner and I can usually sharpen them successfully by putting them in the freezer for a few minutes. That didn't help these. These eyeliners crumble like crazy. I think I went through a whole pencil and used a third of it because I had to resharpen. They also aren't as pigmented as I would like.

When I first get a product I like try it for the first time without any primer or extra prep work.It stays really good on my oily eyelids.Been wearing it alone for the last few hours and no bad fading or running,so I'm sure it will be even better over eyeprimer and eyeshadow.I love the smudger on this one.It's very soft without being mushy,but not so hard that you have to tug to smudge it.I only wish that the black was more of a true black.A black like L'oreal's HIP Color Truth eye pencil is.I also have to be careful when sharping it because kohl eyeliner always seem to crumble easily no matter what the brand.

It goes on very soft, and the smudger tip is handy, especially because it has it own cap to keep it clean. The color is not very black, maybe good for smoky eyes but it lacks the intense impact I look for in a true black liners, so it didnt grab me.


Unfortunately it has poor staying power. It "melts" so badly during the day that even if I put powder to set it over the top, it smudges its dark grey grease panda eyes. I do have oily eyelids though.


These were also advertised in the Avon brochure as suitable for lining on the waterline of the eyes, but it nearly all came off within minutes. Shame because it was otherwise a nice soft liner with smudger at a great price.
