Love this product. Getting use to stencils at 1st was tricky but I've got it down after little practice and I don't go a day with out it.

I don't have this exact kit but the kit I bought came with the stencils, the brow powder and gel, two eye shadows and an angled brush. I am IN LOVE with this product, I love the stencils, I don't follow them exactly but they help me give my brows a nice shape to follow. The brow powder is amazing and so natural looking, while the gel holds it in place all day long. I haven't tried the eye shadow yet but it look beautiful. I probably wouldn't repurchase the kit again, just the powder and the gel since I have the stencils already.

I am in love with Anastasia. I have thick, dark eyebrows and after waxing my eyebrows for about 7 years, I decided to take charge of my life. And save money. Instead of allowing untrained beauticians (no offense) to butcher my eyebrows into unnatural, mismatched shapes, I wanted a change. Will not repurchase simply because I won't need to. It is cheaper to get a kit the first time around. Such a bargain.
I love that this comes with all the stencils, because my sister uses one stencil. Portable case is very useful for traveling or taking to the gym.

In Australia this set was quite pricey, but if you don't own any good brow products it's well worth the initial spend. Comes in a great little pouch.
The tweezers are the best I've ever owned and the stencils are great for a novice like me - no more mismatched eyebrows!
I got the powder in 'Medium Ash' and the darker side is a great match for my brown hair. It's easy to apply and blend in with the angled brush/wand.
I've never used brow gel before but this one sets them quite well and finishes them nicely.
I've only said no to repurchase as I'd only ever need to rebuy the powder and gel, but I think it will last a lifetime. Well worth the money.

I live in Australia, so to get this is great! Can you duplicate this product? YES - BUT only some of the items - illustrated below
These tweezers have been the longest lasting tweezers I have ever owned, so If you have one as good, you could sub that.
Brow gel - ANY good brow gel will do, (this one is really good) but if you have one that works well use it, or a clean mascara wand and hair spray.
Brow Powder duo - you can use long lasting matte eyeshadow the colour of your eyebrow, in a taupy colour, but this reallly lasts a long time, two colors - one i use to shade in sparse areas and the darker shade to shade in the WHOLE STENCIL so it is dark enough to ensure i pluck OUTSIDE the area...not risking over plucking
stencils - amazing. perfect. cannot say anythign else. you can dupe these
spooly - I have yet to find a brand that has such a soft but durable spooly, and the brush on the other end is really good..even a mascara wand cant brush through the powder and brows like that does.
All in all, you cant dupe the spooly I feel (not in Australia anyway) and for $90 AUD you are getting 5 products for less than $20 a pop, worth more....I have repurchased 3 times in the last 4 years.
If you look after it well, the only thing that runs out is
a) brow gel
everything else lasts 1.5-2 years.

You can put together your own from walmart for the same quality & half the price. Only difference would be Anastasia Brow Kit is a lot cuter packaged.
I'm not crazy about the brow powder, even though most people are. I got it in blonde. To me it was too dark & cakey. I much prefer Milani or Maybelline.
I put a yes for repurchasing...however I only would if I had the extra cash. It lasted me a YEAR.

This is if you really don't want to go to the salon and get it done
the arches aren't that great
but the tools are
the tweezers are sharp to get even the tiniest hair plunked
the eyebrow filler i never got to use >.< i actually lost the whole kit
except for the brow gel which is good
i wouldn't buy the whole kit because it cost soo expensive
but i would buy the brow gel and tweezers

I virtually have no eyebrows and what I have is mostly peach fuzz. I have always stayed away from brow pencils because I didn't want a drawed on eyebrow. The stencil fits well and the powder (lightly applied) looks good. I like the highlighter as well. It is very natural looking. I don't really use the brow gel, because I don't feel I need it.

I've developed a minor obsession with my eyebrows lately and thought this would be great to perfect them. Naturally, I have a short but high arch. Unfortunately, none of the stencils fit my face, even the petite one. The high arch fit the shape of my natural eyebrows best but it was too long. The petite one was short enough but not arched enough. It's going back to Sephora.

ughhhhhhhh horrrible!!!!!!!! where do I start with how bad this is. Firstly i the powder is way to dark in general. I understand there are people with very dark brows but when the lightest color made, the one labeled "blonde" is literally dark taupe, the color spectrum of hair has not been represented accuratley and properly. I have dirty blonde hair with highlights not light blonde or even medium blonde and this was way too dark for me. It also looks completley unatural and powdery despite the color , I used this on my sisters dark brows and it still looked she had stipled dirt on her brows. to add insult to injury this powder gel combo did not even last a half hour. Oh not to mention the tweezers are horible and dull within one use. I gave this one lippie only because the stencls are pretty ingenius I just use them now with my brow HG Laura Mercier brow powder. BOTTOM LINE: ana should stick to waxing

Everyone keeps complaining about how expensive this is, but to be honest it is worth the high price. I use the set daily. It's been a year & I have barely made a dent in the powder. Long lasting, even, high quality... this is great if you have the extra cash. Definitely worth the investment when you take the lasting power into consideration. xoxox

I am completely ignorant when it comes to doing my brows. I used to have them waxed at my salon, but it was $15 and nothing special so I hoped that buying this would save me money.
It comes with five stencils, and I don't have remarkably small brows but the only one that was small enough to fit them was the Petite Arch stencil. The rest seemed thick or long, but luckily that one matches my brows pretty decently. All I do is hold up the stencil, use the dark brown to fill it in, and pluck anything that isn't dark brown (I have light-medium brown brows). I needed something idiot-proof, here it is. I only do that once a week at night to really shape my brows, the rest of the week I just pluck stray hairs. Sometimes I'll use the stencil to fill my brows in but usually not. Haven't needed to use the gel yet.
Anyway, yes, I would definitely buy this again (though doubt I'll need to) just because it'll pay itself off in a few months in waxes! The tweezers are way better than my Tweezerman and almost worth the price of the kit alone. Plus, the bag is super cute. :) Definitely recommend if you need a little assistance shaping your brows.

Wow. I didn't know my brows could look this good! (Or is it, I didn't know my brows looked that bad?) As I have gotten older, my brows have thinned :( I have half-heartedly tried to fill them in with a brow pencil that was never the right color. Then I read about Senna Cosmetics brow makeup recommended in "How Not to Look Old" (that title cracks me up, by the way). After doing some research, I found that while that brand didn't have great reviews, the Anastasia kit did. Then I watched a "How to" video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bo0g6cp3cP8): HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! After seeing the video, I was sold on the merits of this product and ordered it.
While I am a blonde with green eyes, I figured the lighter of the 2 brunette shades would be fine for me: after all, I have been using the same lame, cheap pencil (Wet & Wild?!?) for at least five years now, so brown should be OK. Then I could not wait for the kit to arrive, to have brows as lovely as what the girl in the YouTube video achieved...
Well, the brunette color was much too dark. But I went ahead anyway to at least figure out which stencil was best for me, tweezed and powdered per the video, and finally had "real" brows that, for once, were lush and not pathetic! I couldn't believe how bad my natural brows looked in comparison to the stenciled/powdered/spoolie brows. Hallalujah!
As there was an ash blonde duo sample included in the box, I tried it and it was absolute perfection. Too bad I had to order it, too, and then wait again! But I am excited every day to use these products to finish off my look, and I think the expense was worth every penny :D

I bought this at the Ulta FF sale awhile back for $40, but it retails $65 I think. I wish they had include a scissor, but I already have a sharp embroidery scissor that is great for trimming stray hairs (for the price it would be a nice addition, plus it's pink). The tweezer are the best I have ever owned and they're pink :) I love the brow powder, a product I have never thought to use, but makes a big difference. I have used the brow gel in the past and prefer the wax pencil. For me the brow gel flakes.. maybe I'm doing something wrong IDK. I don't use the stencils, I think the idea of stenciling brows on is strange. I haven't really used the brow highlighter either. Love the dual brush though. All in all a good buy.

***I also left this review on the 'Essential brow kit' page that I created, because this is NOT the 5 piece in the pink bag, but the 6 piece in the purple bag. Posting it here because it will more likely be read here. I have also edited this because I want to add some more helpful details.
The only reason this is an overall 3 is because of the intimidating price.
I have been on and off about buying this since I first laid eyes on it last year. I am a brow fanatic, I love eyebrows, and I have always gone nuts and over tweezed, etc you name it. I started growing my brows out, and wasn't happy. They dont stay in place, were light (I dye my hair black), and when feeling dressy and spending time to put on nice shadows etc... I felt my eyebrows ruined everything. Now, this comes with lousy instructions, but a pretty decent dvd that explains what the instructions should. I used that as my guide. I did not fit into any of the stencils except petite, which was a perfect match. I can understand people not fitting into any of them, but try to work with them. It could be as simple as not holding the stencil right - which takes some time to master. The first time around, my eyebrows looked thick, and I used the wrong half of the duo therefore they looked obviously shaded. Second try, I used the darker half of the duo, held the stencil much better and tweased with care. My eyebrows now look great with, or without the powder; though I find myself wanting to use the kit everyday because I like how my brows stand out and look so groomed. I find myself staring at my eyebrows any minute I can find during the day - as I'm not used to having such 'good' looking brows. This kit is worth it, and I'm considering purchasing the scissors for any future hairs that stick out, even with the brow gel. That will stop me from over tweezing in the future.
Everything in the kit is great, the case could be real leather though instead of that faux fabric for 75 dollars LOL. either way, cute. The duo is lovely, perfect match for my black dyed hair, and if I decide to grow out my natural brown hair, the duo will still be nice because brunette has both dark and light brown. Do not let the pictures on anastasia or sephora.com deceive you. Once I saw the powders in person, I knew which one I had to have. the highlighter pencil is great, and can be sharpened in any sharpener that can take fatty pencils. The brow brush is very good, and the spooly on the other side is great too! The tweezers are by far the best I have used, and the brow gel isn't bad either. I like the applicator. I'd replace everything in this kit, hands down. This kit is also compact enough to bring anywhere, if you're that high maintenance. I'd recommend this to anyone. :)
If you find the color looks too dark, just use the spooly to blend and lighten, then use the high lighter pencil all around the brow (sides, above, and on the brow bone) to get rid of any powder that might have shifted out of the brow while blending. It makes the brows very perfected to use the pencil all around it, instead of just on the brow bone. Be sure to blend well of course!
If you find that your brows look to thick, try again. Experiment with holding the stencils, if need be, hold them with your thumb and index finger, rather than with your index and middle. Use your right hand to hold the stencil (with thumb and index) if you're a righty, then once you have a good position, without letting go right away, use the index and middle finger of your left hand to hold the stencil. This should do it for mastering holding the stencil while coloring in. If you find the stencils dont fit, just use them as a guide, and as I said earlier, use the pencil to 'erase' the powder from areas that don't need it.
:) have fun!!

I have really light brows and didn't like the harsh look of brow pencils. I also didn't know how to draw the right shape. I loved the stencils this kit provides. I found one that matched the natural shape of my brows and it's easy to fill in my brows with the brush and brow powder. It was a little tricky holding the stencil in place, but manageable with some practice. The stencils are also a thick plastic so it's pretty durable. The brush is very soft and works great. The only reason I wouldn't buy the whole kit again is because I don't need to. I only need to buy more brow powder when I run out.

I went back and forth trying to decide if it was really worth it to get this or not. I got sick of having my eyebrows waxed, and to begin with I am super lazy when it comes to my brows resulting in them looking awful inbetween infrequent waxing =/. So I decided I am going to start caring for my brows because they really make or break a face. Anyway I am really glad I got this. Although I had Benefit's browszings (which I really like) it just seemed more worth it to just get the entire kit vs buy what I actually needed separately. Everything in it is really great though. I sorta used the stencils to officially reshape my brows but went away from them, but they did help a little. Especially since I suck at stuff like this. THE TWEEZERS ARE AMAZING. I completely reshaped my eyebrows/cleaned them entirely up in about 20 minutes. Thats amazing. These things work sooo well. Just for these this kit seems worth it. The brush is great quality and the powder and gel looks very natural. I highly recommend it if you wanna maintain your eyebrows and are tired of having to get them done all the time.
(I only gave it 4 just because I am SURE there are other less expensive products out there in the eyebrow makeup world, but for people who are too lazy to research/seek out everything this is great)

Definitely helps with my thinning eyebrows. This is a really nice kit and lasts for a long time. I switch off between this and the Ditzy Brow kit. Both are good kits and the Ditzy is less expensive.

If you have never tried Anastasia brow products go out and buy one of these kits. It gives you almost everything you need for great brows. The only thing missing is some brow scissors but this is a must have starter kit. You get so much stuff in the kit that its well worth the price. It is full sized products too, not starter size. I like the powder very much (have yet to find a better one), the brow gel works great, the tweezers are just like Tweezerman (which are the amazing), and the brush gets the job done. The case it comes in is so organized and convenient. I dont use the stencils much because none of them fit my brows or face but I do have the worlds worst eye brows (overplucked and a color made for someone with a different genetic makeup) so they may work well for someone with more normal brows. They made my brows too bold and dramatic. Think Janet Leigh in Psycho. I highly recommend this kit to anyone starting out with Anastasia or first starting to seriously experiement with their brows. Seriously it is a great kit. I didnt give it a 5 because I cant use the stencils, I think there is a better brow powder out there for me, and there are better brow brushes out there but I would still buy this kit over again.

I bought this kit because I wanted to start shaping my eyebrows at home. At first I hesitated because of the cost ($65), but then I thought about how much I spend on waxing. After a few uses, this kit will have paid for itself. I also like that I have more control over the whole process and look.
The instructions on the kit are to line up the stencil, use the brow powder to fill in the stencil, remove the stencil, and pluck around the powdered area. I found the process to be relatively simple. The longest part for me was selecting which brow shape would be best.
The results? Well, I used the darker brow powder in the kit so I could clearly see which areas were powdered and which weren't. While this helped a lot when I was plucking, I did end up with a Groucho Marx look. It was much better when I'd wiped off the excess powder. For everyday wear, I would certainly use the lighter shade. Shape-wise my brows ended up looking great! I am very pleased with the results.
I will mostly use this kit for shaping because I don't wear makeup that often, but I can definitely see using the brow powder and gel when I'm feeling dressy. They go on smoothly and work well.
This kit, while expensive, does work well and my brows ended up looking great!
