To me, Short Shorts is the perfect hot pink. I had looked forever to find this exact shade, but what I would find was usually not neon enough or the wrong pink. When the Neon collection came out I was thrilled! It's a great (maybe the best!) summer color.
The application is pretty great and typical Essie. Like others have said, since it is a neon, it tends to dry matte, but top coat makes it shiny.

just got this color on my nails today! love the color but cant seem to find it anywhere! any suggestion on where i can purchase this color or find a really good replacement for it?

This is a beautiful, bright, hot pink neon polish. However, with my NW 20 skintone I did detect some coral undertones, but not enough to make it unwearable with my cool toned skin. This applied well with no streaking or clumping. The texture were great and it is well pigmentated giving me full coverage with two coats. As with most neons this dried matte with shined right up with my Revlon CS top coat under SV. This polish wes long wearing lasting about 5 dish doing and cooking days. I purchased this in a mini set so it wasn't too expensive. The packaging was unremarkable. I would definitely purchase this again.

it looks so good with a tan and its just such a nice bright neon pink, so summery and fresh ..LOVE IT!

Hands down, the hottest neon pink ever! It was so in demand this past summer I had to get mine on ebay! Totally worth it though...looks amazing with a tan

I absolutely love this colour! It's a hot pink, definitely a true neon. Application was beautiful - none of the streaks I've come to expect from Essie. It's full coverage in 2 coats (if you look *really* closely you might be able to see your white nail tips through the polish, but not bad enough for me to complain).


I do agree with hill78 though - all neons tend to dry matte due to the pigments in them. You'll need a good topcoat, preferably a high-shine one like Poshe or Seche Vite.

ok yes it is a nice cream color but you will need a good top coat that will provide a good shine. the color is matte a little too matte for me.

I saw a photo of this on the nail board, and I thought it had silver shimmer. It doesn't. It's a bold hot pink in a creme formula. Very pretty, but not what I was expecting, and I have a lot of NPs nearly identical to it. Gotta be more careful when ordered on the internet... but on the other hand it was only $3.49.

I absolutely ADORE this polish for a summer pedi! I picked it up at Trade Secret recently, and in the bottle it wasn't initially my favorite from the collection. But it looks sensational on - it's a gorgeous neon pink creme (which went from matte to glossy with just one coat of Seche Vite). In the sun it really stands out, in a good way! For reference, my complexion is fair & warm, and this color totally pops on me - I can't stop staring at my feet! =) I'm sure it would suit darker and/or cooler tones as well. A must-have!

this is a fabulous summer colour! I picked it last week for my pedicure and just love it!

It looks less neon in the bottle (to me) but on the toes, perfect! have a great day.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hot neon pink! It is a fabulous addition to your polish collection if you are seeking a super bright mid-toned neon pink. I think it is quite a neutral pink, but i am cool-neutral (and quite fair) for reference. I have seen it on other gals with warmer/tan/darker skin, however, and it looked fabulous on them as well. All that being said, a warning for any gals not familiar with neon polishes. Any neon polish (regardless of brand or color) will dry MATTE (to varying degrees, depending on how much neon pigment it contains). Rest assured, if you apply one-two coats of your favorite shiny top coat you'll have a nice shiny finish, no worries :)
