Very hypnotic scent! Upon spritzing L'eau de L'eau, is citrus and spice. The middle notes bring a nice a zingy spice that is beautifully warm and soothing. The drydown is a clean freshness that lingers lovely on the skin. Yes it's reminescent of potpourri a bit, but It's gorgeous and I want a FB for summer. (Although I think this would be amazing year round!). Light and lush without being too sweet or spicy .A great scent for when you want to smell fresh and just right! LOVE!

Why would you wanna smell like a bad-quality pot-pouri?
I used most of my sample as a room spray.
Enough said.

Settled down to a ginger cinnamon Sprite kinda smell, citrus-spiciness. Gave me a headache at the end of the day, that kinda happens when I don't like something. Thank gawd for samples!
To quote another reviewer from Basenotes.net: "This mix of citrus, cloves and spice is a bit too clove intensive for my liking. It is also short lived on my skin. Nothing I would recommend."

On a wintery December day you walk to a meeting through an unfamiliar downtown. Since you are a few minutes early you slow down to window-shop. Coming to a tiny storefront advertising natural beauty and health products, you of course stop to look because you are an MUAer. The front window is overcrowded with bottles and tubes of familiar and unfamiliar items. Handmade soaps and candles. Bowls full of dried herbs and flowers. The yoga-toned shopkeeper in her Keen sandals motions you in. The ambient scent of the warm shop is a pleasant assault of all the items within. You stay for only a minute but the scent sticks with you all the way to your meeting. And there you have L'Eau de L'Eau.
Incidentally this also smells exactly like a Yonka toner I used to use. Kind of that jumbled up natural/medicinal scent. I do not get any one note above the rest.

Well I love it! Yes, it is expensive, but you get a HUGE bottle which you can either opt to use as a splash-on, or alternatively use the atomiser that it also comes with. I have decanted some of this into a smaller bottle so that I can take it with me everywhere!
I believe that you can actually wear this year-round as it has notes that work well in different seasons. When you first spray it you get the refreshing zesty lemon, then comes pot-pourri (patchouli and lavender) and then the spicy dry down with cloves and cinnamon. Think of the smell of hot cross buns! Certainly, this is a unique smell.
I hope they never stop making this because I believe I have found my signature scent.

This is a nice vin brulé fragrance that doesn't really smell of a cologne, as it claims to be, but rather a comforting spicy scent I would wear at Christmas, or whenever I come home from a cold nicìght and need nothing but a warm cup of milk and some relax in front of a fireplace. I smell so many sweet spices here, especially cinnamon and clove on a creamy, soft-toned base of sheer woods. The only cologne note comes from a very mild, soft lemon, juice and peel. At times I can smell the natural fragrance of Dr. Hauschka's products, which I love, so I can say this fragrance may be FBW, at least in cold temperatures!
