Chide me for my lazy ways, ladies, if you will, but my fabulous experience with this product is a testament to its quality.
I started using this product around the year 2005. Shortly thereafter, my teenaged self endured a "hippie" phase, during which I refused to cut my hair for 6 years. Yeah. Anyway, when I finally went to get my hair cut, the stylist was simply amazed by the condition of my hair. She called all the other stylists over and they were shocked as well. My hair was down to my butt, but the damage and split ends were very minimal. I had been using this shampoo and conditioner the entire time.
Perhaps not everybody would have the same experience as I have, but it simply works wonders for me. I have dark honey-blond hair, with really light natural highlights. My roots and underside of hair is very dark brown. My hair has gotten darker over the years, and my genes dictate that my hair should be entirely dark brown by now. I attribute the use of this product to keeping the blonde in my hair. If I use another shampoo, my hair looks lifeless, dull, and almost grey-ish. I have extremely oily hair and most other shampoos make my hair look oily. Granted, I am forced to wash my hair daily due to oil accumulating immensely overnight. But this product just makes my hair look sleek, soft, beautiful, and freakishly shiny. Like, it looks like there is tinsel in my highlights under certain lighting. Sounds weird, but I love it.
It doesn't really make my hair "soft," but I have very thick, course (but straight) hair. It's just not possible for my texture and it's not a concern of mine. It's definitely rather touchable though, just not like angora.
The scent is also lovely. It's pretty basic, which I love. I hate heavily-scented shampoos because it competes with whatever fragrance I'd like to wear. It has a nice, clean, warm scent.
Overall, for dirty blonde teenage girls who are losing their blonde and would like to keep ahold of their natural highlights, I would definitely recommend this product. It works out well for my long, straight, thick hair. On thinner hair it may be a problem, but my thin and silky-headed brunette friend borrows my shampoo here and there and she loves it. It brings out gorgeous red highlights on her--it's not just for blondes!!!

I had light brown hair with a few highlights which you barely even noticed. I also had very oily hair!
Tried this shampoo + conditioner and it's amazing, I looked as if I just had blonde highlights put through my hair! Every single time I would get the same result, it's amazing! Oh and it leaves your hair soooooo silky, bouncy and soft :-) since using this my hair can go 3-4 days without being washed.

This shampoo has some nice effects on my salon highlights and my natural blonde hair. After using everything looks smoother, brighter, more glistening. I get comments on how shimmery my hair looks. However I do find using it regularly that it causes some damage even though this is the moisturising formula, over time my hair looks frazzled. I also HATE the way it doesn't particularly want to lather and I have to use tons to get through my oily scalp. However bizzarely it does rinse clean easily and doesn't weigh down my hair. So overall I would recommend it as a refresher but not a regular use. Its also quite pricey so I wouldn't get it unless on discount.

I wouldn't recommend for everyday use, but it does freshen up color-treated blond hair.

I love how portable the packaging is bc we travel a lot and tubes are so much easier. I love this stuff. Smells great and leaves my processed, naturally curly hair smooth and cuts down on my expensive serum when I straighten. Love it!

It is great for lightening and refreshing blonde hair - BUT it "fries" my hair, making it look more damaged and frizzy. I recently bought it (again) since I needed to get rid of a grey tint over my highlights. As stated, it works great for that but not for my hair type (2a, thin strands, medium thickness) since it look frazzled and damaged after only 2 uses.

For the first time ever, I like a shampoo better than it's corresponding conditioner. This is great. It really makes my hair shinny and feels soft.

WARNING****** THIS MADE MY HAIR FALL OUT.....i HAD thick long hair, then i changed to this shampoo to bring out my highlights..... within two months my hair was baby fine and a alot shorter even though i hadnt cut it. i stopped using it straight away after i googled the product adn read that other people had the same problem. AVOID AT ALL COSTS... i really dont know how they get away with it. i severly regret ever using this product, its been 6 months now and although there has been an improvment in my hair, its not back to what it used to be before i started using this shampoo.

My absolute hg hair product, leave my dry, highlighted, over processed hair soft and shiny every time. A little product goes a long way so its v. good value for money, best of all though are the compliments I get after using it. I have tried other brands as I am a product junkie and always think there is a better version out ther but I always return to this shampoo.

It smells good and it makes my hair easy to comb right after I wash it.

But unfortunately, I've seen no results. My hair looked more darker (surprisingly) and it didn't seem to make my hair soft at all.

I loooove this stuff, im not mad about hair products in general.I just dont think they do what they're supposed to and are not worth their money.I love this shampoo though:)Before this my nautrally blonde hair with some highlights, was dry and tangeled, when using this i don't even need conditioner!!!Its brought back my natural golden blonde.I dont even have to use my usual detangler:)It costs me €8 which considering i need to use only the smallest amount, this will last for ages:)It also comes in a stand upside down bottle-sorry guys iv no idea what to call it!!so you will be able to get the very last drop out of it!My hg hair product guys:)UPDATE: used this for a while guys and i developed red spots on my head, not sure if it's because of this as i wasn't using this every day, but im going to give it a break again..

On my third or fourth tube of this and second tube of the moisturizing conditioner (don't go through as much of that, as I always shampoo twice). It makes my hair look shiny, NOT brassy, and (most importantly) healthy. I highly recommend it. NOTE: do NOT equate this with the volumizing version of the same shampoo/conditioner combo. That stuff "volumizes" your hair by seriously drying it out. If you want soft, touchable hair (my boyfriend strokes mine after I use this stuff, no joke) - go for the moisturizing version, not the volumizing version!

I didn't like this shampoo at all. It felt heavy and slimy in the shower and was hard to rinse. It left my fine, highlighted hair dry, frizzy and hard to style. It's a definite no from me.

All round good shampoo. Smells gorgeous and feels good. However, I bought the Moisturising version and it actually makes my hair feel dry! So because of that, and the fact I don't notice any difference (or enhancement) in my blonde highlights I took 2 lippies off, one for each reason.
The shampoo is reasonable packaged and priced, and I would buy it again if it wasn't for me moving onto Faith In Nature (all natural organic shampoo - better product, quality and price)

I'm sort of on the fence whether or would buy this again or not. I use the honey to caramel version since my hair is medium to honey blonde (colored).
Pros: Great, addictive clean smell; leaves hair VERY soft and managable for my very fine, color-treated, slightly damaged hair.
Cons: Squeeze tube is annoying; price is high for the amount of product you get; I find I need more of this product to do the job of lathering up my hair and working it through than most shampoos; doesn't rinse as easily as other shampoos; does nothing to the color or shine of my hair differently than other shampoos, that I can see.

I really love the smell of this shampoo and all the Sheer Blonde Products. I'll have to see if I buy it again or not. If they made it a larger size and put it in a bottle and not a tube it would probably make it better for me.

This shampoo is my favorite daily shampoo! I used to purchase salon lines like other reviewers but I have stuck to this drug store line. I have slightly oily, naturally platinum blonde hair. This shampoo softens my hair but actually makes it clean! I can feel it rinse out really well which is important to me because as my hair is naturally blonde it's quite porous. My sister has highlighted medium blonde hair and uses the Honey to Caramel version. She loves it!

i have to agree with the reviews that state that its a awesome product for being sold in a drugstore. i usually only buy salon brands and have been very loyal to nexxus y serum for 4 years now but i'm really digging this brand. it smells great and leaves my hair softer most likely due to the cones.. great stuff however i had read that users had reported hair loss using it, im hoping they have fixed that, but will keep posted if hair loss occurs... :)

I am very happy with this product. Even though it has cones and sulfates, it doesn't dry out my hair or get crazy buildup the way Neutrogena Triple Moist does. Also, it leaves my hair extremely shiny. I try not to use it super often because i'm not sure if it really is great for my hair, but I do really like it because it makes my hair look great and seems to add some managability to my 3a poofy fly-away hair.

Sheer Blonde shampoo is one of my favorites. I tend to stick with salon brands, but the Sheer Blonde line does a great job with my hair. The shampoo rinses clean and doesn't leave any dulling residue behind. I would take a guess and say that Frieda has reformulated their shampoos and conditioners, but I could be way off-base. It's just that the products seem to be doing a much better job on my hair lately than they did several months ago. I never shampoo without conditioning and sometimes treating, so I can't say what this shampoo would do without the help of the above processes. It's gentle, my highlights gleam after my Sheer Blonde regime, and my hair is really healthy, so I have to give Sheer Blonde some love!

Very good product: refresh the blonde, add shine and softness to distressed hair. The only negative is that it has to be purchased as a duo (shampoo and conditioner) and it is a little pricey for a massmarket product. (19$ or so for both products) but the results speak for themselves!
EDIT: I prefered the old version though. I don't like the new scent and i think the new formula is less efficient than the old one. But it still works.
