Firstly, I don't think it's worth the money. The original price is 41$, but I got in on sale for 20$ while I was in Europe.
It is not long lasting, so I have to use it with a good lid primer. The top shade (Shimmering Quartz-light pink) is extremely chalky.... it also looks like extremely light, shimmery chalk. It can look nice, but you have to use quite a bit...but even so it looks a bit white. The bottom shade (Deep Amethyst-deep purple) is actually very pretty. It's dark, but not black. There are a few hidden sparkles, but hardly any. However, I think it may be easy to find a dupe. Even so, don't rub your eye and let it smudge. The color eventually fades.
The applicator to the left (I used it for Shimmering Quartz) is kind of useless. I suggest a smudge brush for the shade. The applicator to right is okay to use if your don't have a brush (I use it for Deep Amethyst). However, it's easy to screw up.
I don't think the colors go well together, since Quartz hardly shows. I was hoping for more pigmentation on the top shade.
However, the packaging is super nice. The mirror is good, and handy. I mean, it's iconic and a nice thing to look at and have.
I don't recommend it. YSL has had and currently has better shades.

I really like the colors of this compact. However, the shadows do not last long on the skin at all, though leave a slight tint. They do have a nice shimmer.
