I love this brush, I use clinique's mineral loose powder with it. Do not use it with blush or cream base products cause it will stay in the brush. I love that it is antibacterial!

I feel bad but this is going back. I have $3 ELF brushes I feel FAR surpass this in quality. I washed it 1 time and it poofed out and became itchy feeling. And I don't like the way it picks up powder and it smells.

I feel especially bad because the powder I bought at the same time is also going back - it made me itchy. :(

I love this brush! It's probably my favorite brush. The first time I used it I didn't like it, but I think that's because I didn't use it properly. You can't just dust on powder with it. You need to use even strokes with this brush. The angles on the side are great for the sides of the nose and around the eyes. I get full coverage from this brush and the look is flawless! I use loose powder with this brush. I'm not sure how it works with pressed powder.

While I LOOOVE all of my other Clinique brushes..I have mixed feelings about this one. When I use it with a Talc-based powder foundation, it works pretty well. But when I used it with my pressed mineral powder foundation (which is what I use most often), it barely picks anything up. I like how soft it is, and I do like how it is tapered. I'm glad I added it to my collection, but it just doesn't work for all powder foundations. I think it would work best with a loose powder foundation. I have cleaned it several times, and have had no problem with it losing shape. I always store it in the shaped plastic sleeve that it came in, and after cleaning I put the shaped sleeve back on it while it dries. That helps it maintain its shape beautifully. EDIT: I used this brush with my loose Everyday Minerals foundation, and it worked AMAZING. The bristles are so light and silky. I really love this brush. I still maintain that is not for EVERY powder foundation, but Clinique brushes are still my fave.

This is a *new* brush by Clinique. Retails for $32.50 and has a long clear lucite handle. It has natural bristles that are very soft and silky and the brush, when brand new, is in the shape of a soft paddle--in other words it has somewhat defined edges. The broadest part of the brush is soft, flat, and firm--like a very large, but fluffy foundation brush. The sides are a little more narrow, allowing you to turn the brush and target different surfaces of your face--like the sides of your nose, or underneath your cheekbones. The tip is just slightly tapered. I bought this to use with their Almost Powder foundation (which is wonderful, BTW!) and this brush was amazing. It distributed just enough powder, it felt so soft on my face. It really was the perfect tool. Notice the past tense here. "Was."

As soon as I washed this for the first time this brush completely lost it's wonderful unique shape. It fluffed out to the point that it is now nearly identical to my Sonia Kashuk powder brush. I'm so P.Oed!!! It's still a wonderful brush--for Powder, but it is no longer the most amazing Powder Foundation brush ever. Now it disperses the powder a little too thinly. I have to work a lot harder to get good coverage with my Almost Powder makeup.

For reference, I treated this with the same care as all my brushes. I sprayed the dry bristles with MAC brush cleaner, gently worked it through, then rinsed, being careful to shape the bristles before letting them air dry. I have a bizillion brushes, and cared for in the way I described very few of them have lost their original shape. So I'm deducting 2 big lippies for this shape-losing characteristic because I spent $32.50 for a unique, powder foundation brush, not another plain old powder brush which I already have, and which is what I ultimately ended up with.

In short, the honeymoon with this one only lasted one week, which is as long as I was willing to go before washing my brush. Clinique's "antimicrobial technology" can only go so far. A quality brush should be able to hold it's shape IMO.
