eh. i am never succinct in my reviews(!), but there isnt a whole lot to say. no better than any much less expensive product, in some ways worse cause its a let down given the price and fairly good reputation of the brand. eh.

This is by far my favorite shampoo, bar none. It cleans gently but thoroughly, and leaves my hair soft, bouncy and smooth as silk. But the greatest thing about this shampoo is its effect on my hair color. It really does 'reveal shiny brown tones' as promised. It brings out all the tonal variations in my hair, making them gleam and catch the light. I don't color my hair as I love my natural range of shades. It's beautiful on its own, but with this shampoo it is spectacular. (Every woman should have one thing about her that she loves - mine is my hair) I don't use a single other product than this shampoo and its matching conditioner - anything else just detracts from it. I rarely use a blow dryer, preferring to let it air dry, and I think that helps. I've had people stop me in the grocery store and ask who does my color and what do I use on my hair. No color, just Brilliant Brunette shampoo and conditioner. Apparently, I'm a walking shampoo ad.
The packaging is really well designed, because the cap is on the bottom already. Gravity assists in getting most of the shampoo out, and then you can unscrew the cap and use water to rinse out every last bit of it. Very efficient and nothing is wasted. Both the shampoo and conditioner are very inexpensive, and perform better than any salon brand I've ever tried. I will continue to use these as long as I can get them. My only concern is it is becoming a little difficult to find them in the drugstore, but they are still easy to obtain online. Bottom line - spectacular value and unrivaled results.

I used this once and my hair looked pretty sleek and smooth. With many shampoos my hair tends to look frizzy and messy, but this one made it shiney and looking healthy. love it ! there is one thing that i'm worried about though, because my hair color looked a little darker after using it.. i hope its not color depositing or anything, other than that this is really good! Also I have skin allergies, and mANy sulfate shampoos make my hands burn and itch, this one however DID NOT ..and thats a really good thing.
UPDATE: makes ur hair fall out weirdd..... and makes your head feel DIRTY!!!

I really like this shampoo and conditioner....I was using and loved (still love) the Victorias Secret So Sexy line...but my hair got "used" to it...so I started using some cheaper shampoo well boy could I tell a difference, my hair got limp and felt thin and just lifeless. I tried using the JF Brunette Lustrous Touch conditioner first and I liked it a lot then I used them both together and wow, what a difference, I could tell right away...my hair felt fuller and more alive. And I LOVE the smell of them, doesn't really last on my hair but thats okay cause no shampoo & condit ever really did no matter how much I paid for it. I would buy this again and again.

This product is remarkable!!!! I am amazed! I have long colour treated hair. The best products for my hair are the Kerastase bain riche and masque, but they are soooo expensive I was looking for other options. I purchased this product and was (still am) stunned at how good it is. It's reasonably priced and WORKS. my hair is soft and healthy had happy. Looks fabulous (if i do say so myself ;) ) this product is SO GOOD that when it was on sale at Ulta I cleaned them out and gave my friends and family their own shampoo and conditioners to try. it's that good you just want to share it. I thoroughly recommend it to you. The texture is nice, and the appearacne is a nice slighly pearlized look. It bubbles up well. The conditioner is very detangling and smoothing. I don't like heavily scented hair products to clash with my perfume, and this one does not disappoint. The scent is fine and mild.
TRY THIS I think you might be surprised too. It's wonderful. Definitely stocking up on this.

This was a new product that just came out. Although, I am pretty fond of John Frieda's line. I got this because it was on sale (buy 2 get 1 free). And this stuff is freaking amazing. I have pretty long hair so it tends to get tangled and frizzy at the ends much easier. But after using this for a week, I've seriously seen results on my hair. My hair has been SO much smoother and silkier. It's pretty freaking awesome. & i style my hair everyday... but this shampoo seems to keep my hair shiny and silky still. I love it! I'd definitely re-purchase.

My hair is light reddish brown and I color to cover grays. I've used the Brilliant Brunette line before, and found it drying after a while. But, on a whim I decided to try the Lustrous Touch shampoo & conditioner. This stuff is amazing! My hair is cut in a short bob and is thick, coarse, tends to be dry, and I flat iron daily. This line of products was very hydrating. My hair looked super shiny, glossy, and felt soft and smooth. It straightened very easily and looked healthy and shiny. No frizz, no fried hair. The products may be too heavy for someone with thin hair, and wouldn't be suitable for those with greasy hair. But, for my parched locks, miraculous! I also like the scent - almost a toasted coconut aroma. The shampoo is thick and pearlescent, lathers well, and rinses clean but leaves hair feeling hydrated and not stripped. The conditioner is fairly thick and feels very hydrating. After rinsing, my hair feels silky. This is a great line and I will definitely repurchase.

This shampoo was silky and has a pearly sheen to it and smells sort of perfumey, but light, so that was okay. However, it doesn't lather very well and I didn't feel like it was getting my hair clean enough. After rinsing out it and drying (I did use a bit of the conditioner, which was thick and waxy and didn't feel nice at all), my hair didn't look any smoother and even had a bit of a surface frizz to it, not to mention static. It comes packaged in a tube like the other brilliant brunette shampoos. Since this is new it's being promoted & I've noticed there are $1 off coupons directly on the packages, but I would not buy this since the John Frieda products just don't seem to work well on my hair. You can buy this for around $6.
