i didnt like this cream at all. it worsened my acne and made my skin look almost ashy and very dull :( also gave my skin an almost velvet feel to it, which i didnt like, i dont like feeling as though there are products resting on top of my skin, i like them to soak in and disappear!
i also think this would be much more hygenic in a squeezable tube rather than a pot with a spatula.

The best cream I've tried in 25 years.
My acne-prone, sensitive, dehydrated (which looks oily) skin with cuperose on cheeks is grateful to Markey and Jen for making this wonderful product. I have used this in waxless version for about a month 2 times a day and the results are stunning! As most GoW products it sinks in very fast, moisturizes and, what is most important for me, calms the skin. I don't use any primer because my skin doesn't need it when I am using this cream and put my mineral concealer/base right over it. In fact, my skin has transformed so much that I am rarely using any colored base now. It's calm and dewy.
Can't wait for my new jar of this cream!

Works great for me!

What I notice about this cream is that I put it on whenever I am breaking out, it will dry up my pimples. Every other night or every 3 nights, I'll actually use as a moisturizer. Sometimes I'll put it on my neck and under my eyes to hydrate.

When I use it everyday, I get a bunch of tiny clog pores .. so for me ..I just alternate between this and my Blue Mallow HA with Camellia oil

So disappointed with what happened to me after the many, many raves of this product. I used the waxless version. My skin type is "nightmare." It's very oily but very dehydrated at the same time, zitty, and rosacean so it gets red and irritated. My skin was starting to dry out and I was using no moisturizer so I reached for this sample. It only took me a week to go through most of this very expensive sample ($10 for .25 ounces!). My skin seemed to get even drier and it was even a bit irritated by it. I've noticed that the majority of GoW products that I've gotten any irritation from (3 out of 5) have fruit extracts in them (bump it up to 4 out of 5 if including products containing fruit-derived oils), if that helps anyone. Also, I noticed a handful of blackheads and whiteheads sprouting up. This is something I almost never see with a product. Glad that it works for some people, but consider yourself warned!

GoW's ReNew Cream is amazing! It is wonderfully moisturizing without leaving my rather oily and somewhat sensitive skin greasy or irritated. It is filled with wonderful ingredients such as kukui nut oil, lingonberry oil, grapeseed oil, and renovage which make my skin feel soft and look beautiful. I use this cream at night and GoW's Majik ReNew Serum at night. For me it is the perfect combination! GoW sells two versions of its ReNew Cream - regular (with wax) and waxless (which is what I use) - and comes in a .25 oz sample size for trying out as well as the full-sized 1 oz jar.

Sadly this hasn't worked out for me. It's not emollient enough for my dry skin and it feels like a weird waxy/powdery film on. I've been using it for 3 weeks now and haven't noticed any positive changes.

add me to the list of people that love this product! i have been using this for 2 weeks and my skin looks so much better. its smoother,brighter,and more radiant.i normally have very oily skin but have found that my skin is less oily since using this cream.i have been receiving compliments since i started using this.i use the waxless version.this is my sole treatment. theres so many good things in it that i dont feel the need to use anything else. this cream can help with mulitple skin issues which is a definite plus for me. i have VERY sensitive skin and for me less is more.
7/3/10
unfortunately this cream started breaking me out and i had to discontinue use. i still highly recommend it to anyone that is fortunate enough to be able to use it without problems.

Ok, so I have finally found my HG moisturizer! This stuff is the only cream that does the following:
1) Does not clog my pores 2) Moisturizes without turning greasy or shiny 3) Balances my skin 4) Reduces redness 5) Helps get rid of the tiny Keratin plugs in my pores. I am telling you, nothing helps get rid of those!
Anyway, if you are at your wits end, try this stuff. Company is great too and they sell samples. Just for reference, I breakout at almost everything! Including Jojoba Oil. The oils in this did not make me breakout.

I love this cream. It has helped heal and soothe my face as I've been transitioning into more "natural" skin care over the last year. I don't pretend to be a skin care expert, but I suspect that years of Benzoyl Peroxide use then the overuse of harsh AHA's upon quitting BP cold turkey really did a number on my skin, severely damaging my skin barrier.

I started using this in September, 2009 in the morning and evening. By December, I was seeing significant improvement and started only using it as my night moisturizer (I currently use GoW McDreamy cream in the AM under my makeup). I also follow Markey @ GoW's recommendation and give my skin a break from this product every 4th or 5th week. I've been using GoW Phytostem cell cream during the week off from Renew.

This is pricey if, like me, you only ever bought drugstore moisturizer. But, I researched "Renovage" and compared the price of Renew to that of other products, and I think it's a good value. Especially since, with Garden of Wisdom, you're not paying for fillers and lots of yucky ingredients & preservatives.

I list Renew Cream (I use the waxless version, btw) as a Holy Grail product and have thanked Markey for making it. It's definitely helped bring balance back to my skin.

I first tried this product a while back when it was sent to me as a free sample and loved it from the start. I especially like that it has Kukui oil in it which doesn't cause breakouts, absorbs quickly and really helps control oil for me. Most face creams are too heavy for me so I usually use Kukui mixed with AVG and a bit of tea tree oil to moisturize in the daytime. I bought this to use at night and in the morning my skin looks great and it really helps reduce redness. I can also use this as a day cream in the drier winter months since it's very light. My favorite way to use this and make the product last is to put a very small amount in my palm and mix with a spritz of hydrosol or even a few drops of water. It is a bit pricey for the amount you receive but a small jar can last me for weeks. Compared to some of the dept store brands I've tried that did nothing for me I think it's worth it.

I liked this as a night cream - I am trying out a couple other creams right now, but I will probably return to this at some point.

I completely agree with Mrs_Pooky. Garden of Wisdom has changed my skin and my life, and it all started with this one cream... I just bought this because I was looking for a new night cream, and it started an addiction and dream-come-true for me about 5 months ago. I have completely switched my skin care routine now and can count the number of zits I've had on one hand since the switch (ok maybe a stretch, but seriously my "zits", when I do get them, are pretty much only noticeable in a magnifying mirror and go away in like a day), when I used to have regular and sometimes painful or cystic breakouts even though I'm in my late twenties! I had tried so many different products over the years that it is amazing that I'm now on just one line... their products in my opinion are reasonably priced, but at the same time it can get addictive/pricey when you start seeing wonderful and consistent results. Still worth it though. Anyway, back to the Renew Cream. I only use it at night, and it is the most wonderful, hydrating, healing cream without being too emollient for combo/oily skin. I can sit there and pick at my skin at night (bad, I know), which USED to leave me with a nasty mess of skin in the morning, but with Renew Cream I wake up with glowing skin. Or, I can apply a strong treatment which might normally cause dryness or irritation, and then use renew cream after and wake up again to glowing, perfect skin. And it has definitely helped to shrink the pores to some extent also. This is a MUST TRY... especially since they have sample sizes. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the packaging... tubs are no good if you ask me. But that's minor in comparison to the benfits. I am going to add more reviews of this line when I have time because I love it so much, but in the meantime if you have any questions send me a message and/or go to the GoW forums (there is a link on the main page), and you can get some answers to any questions you have there.

Like the other posted, I mix this cream with the jojoba oil sometimes to make it more moisturizing. I bought the small size of this cream just to try, and it has last 3 weeks and I still have plenty left. I use this mainly in the evening and wake up to glowing skin. I use the mandelic acid and white daisy serum, then the Goji Berry HA serum, then this moisturizer. My skin is very even toned and smooth. I have had better results with Garden of Wisdom then some $100 and up moisturizers!

This product has reached can't-ever-be-without-again status for me. A very small amount goes a very long way. It leaves my skin beautifully hydrated and really helps minimize redness and pores. I really think it promotes cell turnover because when I use this in combination with Immortelle HA and Melissa hydrosol, blemishes heal incredibly quickly. I love how my skin looks in the morning when I use this the night before.

For reference, I have fair, acen-prone skin. It used to be oily, but is now perfectly normal after switching to an all GoW skincare.

Skin: Irish/scandanavian, combo, acne prone, with acne scarring.

I have been using Lite 'n Brite with minimal success, and decided after all the great reviews of this on GoW forum, I'd try it.
This is expensive, and therefore I knocked a lippie off, but WOW this was worth every penny! It is smooth, lightweight, sinks right in. This appears to be unscented, though I don't have a very strong nose lol

I've been using this AM & PM for over a week. It has GREATLY reduced the red-tone in my skin, and reduced my acne scars 8-10% so far. Pores seem smaller, as well! Might repurchase, but 1oz should last me quite a while, and might do enough reducing that I won't NEED to repurchase!

I have not experienced itching or drying as some have mentioned on the GoW forums, but I do use this with Immortelle HA and jojoba oil.

Ingredients:
Distilled Water; Polawax NF; Lingonberry Fruit Ext; Renovage;
Sunflower Oil CP; Kukui Nut Oil CP; Grapeseed Oil CP;
Lingonberry Seed Oil; Stearic Acid; Pantothenic
Acid; Optiphen; Galactobarian

ETA: 6.22.08 I WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT THIS STUFF! On my second jar. This is worth the price. It lasted almost 3 months and make such a difference in my skin texture, appearance and color! I'm currently using it with the resurface cream and loving my skin!
