I've had cystic acne for years and have never found a single product that works. In most cases, I end up using something way too harsh that ruins the non-problematic areas of my face and irritates the cystic acne along my jaw and neck making it worse. This soap so far is different from anything I've used before. From day one, three stubborn cysts that I had for over a week went down dramatically. They felt a little dry, but in a healing way, not a bad chemical reaction way. The apples of my cheeks, forehead, and other areas of my "good" skin didn't suffer. My entire face feels soft and clean. I hate the whole skin getting worse before it gets better thing and I hope that this soap doesn't backfire on me over time. I am not using any other acne regimen because it might complicate things. It smells like sulpher obviously but for those of us with cystic acne, we really don't care as long as it works! My rating would be higher, but it's too early to tell.

TLDR: Simply put, this cleanser was too harsh and I broke out everywhere. Two strong anti-acne ingredients in a twice-a-day cleanser are too much, even for people like me with very stubborn acne. I've now adopted a gentler skincare routine and my skin is looking much, much better.
My experience:
Ever since I hit puberty my skin has been very acne prone and combination/oily. It's never been particularly sensitive to products - they either work or they don't. I've never had bad reactions to them. The only undesirable effects I've ever had was when I tried my first AHA product and I went through a brief flaky/pimply period, however my aesthetician told me this would happen and if I waited a week or so my skin would clear up. So it did, and that's why when I tried Coral KAVI and my skin got worse, I waited it out. My skin didn't flake or seem too dry as I'd expected, it simply started breaking out in places it hadn't before, along my jaw- and hairline as well as more severely in the usual spots. I used the cleanser on my back too, where I also broke out with big pimples. I waited a week and it seemed maybe a little better so I kept going. Well, I used it for well over a month and my skin looked no better and I still got severe pimples all over the place. Totally fed up, I stopped using it about three days ago. And what do you know? My skin looks amazing now! My boyfriend even commented saying how clear and glowy I was, just in three days! That clearly cements in my mind that this cleanser was the cause of my horrible skin while I was using it. I suspect I reacted so badly because of two reasons. Firstly, the sulfur. I'd never before used sulfur as in my skincare before and looking at the ingredients list, it's about the only foreign ingredient to my skin. Secondly, the salicylic acid. I don't think it's good even for tough or acne-prone skin to use 2% salicylic twice a day in their cleanser. It's simply too harsh and over-exfoliates the skin. AHAs and BHAs are usually great for my skin but I think it's best to be gentle with them. I'm now using much gentler products and one topical treatment for my acne and my skin really is looking so much better than it has in a long time.
I'll just mention a few things that I DID like about this product to explain why it got 1 star instead of none. It always left my skin feeling squeaky clean, although looking back perhaps it removed oil too well and stripped my skin! Still, it always felt nice being oil-free after a long day. Also, I found the bar format quite novel as I'd never used a cleanser like that. I still prefer liquids like gels and creams but the bar was handy for travel. Another good thing was the price. It was about $18 (not incl. shipping) for three bars and I imagine that could have lasted me the year easily. Very reasonable, if only it worked!

I order the Kavi Coral Cleansing Bar because of all the great reviews. I started getting adult acne when I was 23. I was lucky and didn't experience it in my teens but my 20's have been terrible. I am 28 now and experience whiteheads, large pores and the under the skin fleshy bumps. My skin is very sensitive and is very combination. I have tried EVERYTHING! ProActive, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, DermaDoctor, Aspirin Masks, Lemon Juice, Purpose, Edipdou, Spiro, Burts Bees, Clarisonic Mia, and the list goes on. I have been using Kavi for 4 days and am really happy so far. It cleanses my skin but doesn't strip the oils. I have most products to be too harsh that it strips the oils and the my skin over compensates and causes me to break out. But last 4 days have been great. I see a difference in my skin and hope to continue to see results. Ill try and update in couple weeks to see if there is still progress. But so far LOVING

This soap is great. I've been using it for about two months, and I really like how my skin is looking. It's helped clear up some really nasty adult acne on my chin and jawline.
It does have a slightly sulfur-y smell, but honestly, it's not that bad. It lathers really well, and it rinses clean. My skin feels soft and clean after I use it, and it doesn't dry it out. It's just a great product!
I'm so happy I found this stuff.

WOW, WOW, WOW! If only I would have found this product 15 years ago. It took 2 days and I could see a massive improvement. I'm still floored at how well it's working and keep thinking I'm going to wake up and realize I was just dreaming. It barely smells like sulfur, it stinged the first few times I used it (which was a little shocking since I didn't expect a soap to do that), and it seems to be lasting forever. I shower with it everyday and the bar is not even half done and it's been a month. At $6/bar, it's almost free fro what it does. If you have acne and nothing else has worked, try this! A loyal customer for life.

within days of using this my face started to break out. i had zits popping up in different areas of my face-even where i dont normally break out. my skin definitely didnt like something in this soap. my skin does very well with joesoef sulfur soap. i switched to this one because of the lower ph. BIG mistake!!

I use this bar too for my face. It works great at keeping new pimples from coming in because the salicylic acid is supposed to clean the pores. However, you will still need another product for exfoliating. The kavi skin site sometimes gives problems logging on. You would have to refresh the page but eventually it will load.

I'm on my 2nd purchase of this amazing product. I can't believe no one has reviewed it yet. For those of you with stubborn adult acne, you MUST check out this website. www.kaviskin.com. It's impressive, informative, and they offer some great products that you won't find elsewhere. The soap is $18 usd for 3 bars, and it comes in Coral (normal to oily skin), Aqua (normal to combo skin), and Pearl (dry skin).
The Coral is what I use, because it has the ingredients I need to clear up mild, but EXTREMELY STUBBORN adult acne. The active ingredients are 3% salicytic acid and 10% colloidal sulfur. If you've grown tired of OTC s.a. cleansers that claim to clear acne, but only have 0.5% to 2% s.a, give this a try. It is amazing. I do take my MU off with a seperate MU remover, then cleanse with this and either a facial brush or my clarisonic (see sep. review) Afterwards I tone and apply either makeup or nightime treatment.
PS this website offers amazing peels too! Check it out. The peels can be a little pricey, but last a long time. The soap, however is pretty cheap for what you get. Fast shipping and great service. If this brand ever disappears, I will hunt them down!!!
