HG status! I have never used a shampoo/conditioner that has made my hair this soft or shiny. This claims to have royal jelly complex to help restore moisture to dry or damaged hair, and it WORKS! I recently stocked up at Kmart when I saw they had it marked 2 for $5. I got the last two shampoos and conditioners they had... lol.

If you are looking for a great shampoo, try this one!!

My definite HG! I first bought this conditioner about 2 years ago and have loved it ever since. I don't use the shampoo that goes with it because it leaves my hair greasy looking. Instead I use L'oreal everpure volumizing shampoo for my thin color treated naturally curly hair. Anyway, this leaves my hair so smooth, silky and shiny without weighing is down or looking greasy. The consistency is ok for me. Not too thick not too runny. I squeeze the water from my hair and work the conditioner in for a couple minutes to make sure all is evenly saturated. The smell is light and kinda reminds me of milk&honey soap. The packaging is a simple soft yellow bottle, i like the oblong shape because it makes it easier to squeeze product. The fact that it opens from the bottom makes it easier too. Overall great product! Highly recommend. This conditioner beats everything that I've tried at the drugstore and a few more expensive brands like bedhead, s factor, redken, biosilk. My hair just loves this stuff :)

I've had this product for EVER, but I never used it. I stuck to Redken or Paul Mitchell. I switched to drug store and my hair has never looked better. I use heat almost daily and I wanted to try to nourish my hair, before I completely ruined it. I put this in right after shampoo and then do everything else I have to, during my shower. When I wash it out, my hair feels like a baby's butt! ha! After straightening and everything, my hair is overall less frizzy and more soft! I'm not a hair stylist, and for all I know I could be doing everything wrong. But this is what i LOVE, and i save a few bucks while I'm at it.

Many years ago, I had an awesome hair stylist who encouraged me to buy this product for my drastically lightened hair. He said it was a drugstore product he truly liked, and he generally hated all drugstore products.
I used it for a while and then strayed...not sure why, but I did.
I picked up another bottle of this a couple weeks ago, knowing my hair was really thirsty for a truly moisturizing conditioner. I was initially on the fence about it, thinking, it's not THAT great, it kind of has a thick/viscous consistency, much negative etc., but after 2 weeks of use, I am noticing a subtle, but definite difference in my hair. It IS more moisturized and my color fading has stopped. In addition to using this in the shower, I also take a small dot of it after rinsing and work it through my hair as a leave-in. This seems to make all the difference in controlling frizzy ends from sticking out. My damaged hair looks and feels pretty darn good with this stuff!

If I had to cheat on my Hair One I would use this. It is a great conditioner and before I found BTZ Nood Head Creme I would even style my hair with it too.

I have repurchased this several times because I think it is a good daily conditioner for my fine hair. It does not weigh it down, but provides some slip, and is moisturizing. I straighten my hair on a daily basis, and this keeps it in pretty healthy condition. This goes on sale frequently, so I wait and can find some pretty good deals. The fragrance is pretty strong, floral. I will continue to use this between trying other conditioners, as it's so easily available and affordable.

I am trying to grow out my hair, and have been trying to find a decent conditioner that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg.. joico moisture therapy treatment helped well enough, but it is super expensive and not good for everyday use. I cannot use pantene as my hair falls out after a couple of weeks of use.. seriously..
So I figured after not using l'oreal in quite a few years I would re-introduce myself to their products.. So far, so good. I am yo-yoing between this stuff ( and the shampoo for dry hair ) and the vive-pro nutri-gloss ( the pink bottles) as I am trying to avoid product build-up .. plus i bought the pink bottles for my 5 year old, who has incredibly fine blonde hair..
concensus.. hair is mega soft.. doesn't feel weighed down, and mucho shine. I am trying to avoid straightening my hair every day but on the days that I do, I do not require any smoothing creams or serums.. this stuff works well on its own. Now the only thing that will be a waiting game for me is its effects on my scalp. That is my killer for drug store 'poos and cons.. reactive scalp. So we will see, and I will update when I know more!
To save some time, the shampoo is awesome. Nice lather, don't need tons of product to clean your hair and my hair is not a tangled mess after rinsing. I personally love the smell of this line of products. :) I like the way it lingers. Anywho will purchase again if all goes well..

Wanted to see if I could get a decent conditioner from a grocery store. I did NOT, my friends.

I have a halo of frizz and broken hair (which is fine - not 'ok'). Hoped this would do something apart from weight it down. Heavy, goopy, and not effective at actually conditioning, for my hair type at least.

3 points for packaging though, at least it's stable in the shower.

Edit: have been using this as a shaving cream for legs. It's good for that.

I have been using this conditioner for years, and I love it! It is the most moisturizing drugstore conditioner I have been able to find. In addition, it smells good, and the packaging is good - pretty easy to get most of the product out of the bottle. The only store that sells it around here is my Walgreens (wish they sold it at more stores). I will go back to this again and again!

have used this off and on about a yr now which means i must like it enough because i usually don't stick with conditioners. that said, its good but not great. it is better at moisturizing dry hair than most ds conditioners which is why i repurchase and yes, there is a difference in my hair when i use it. i am still looking for better but when its on sale i buy it but its not hg

ok, so my natural hair is dry, curly, and frizzy. I have very thick hair but it is not coarse, normal hair, but I have a ton of it. I have been dying my hair black for years myself with box dye. Yes, I know, not the best but my hair has been handling it supirisingly well. I had a sudden urge a few months ago to go red. After stripping with color remover, bleaching and dying red my hair was dead. I decided about 8 weeks later to go back to black to because I liked it better. For the past few weeks, my hair has gotten progressively drier and much more brittle. From the bleach, flat iron and the fact I am about two months overdue for a trim. I bought this because my hair needed moisture...badly. After shampooing with the matching shampoo I applied this for about 10 minutes. What suprised me was how runny it was for a conditioner for 'very dry/damaged hair." I only wash my hair every three days, but don't see this bottle lasting more than a month because I have to use SO much of it. That's ok, it is cheap. After washing I used my mane n tail condish as a leave in and my matrix sleek look cream. I blew it dry and my hair felt, well, unusually sticky and coarse, but after it cooled down and I flat ironed it it look much more softer and healthier than it has in weeks. I guess this gets a little tacky in heat from the light residue it leaves on hair but softens up once it cools down. Now, time for a serious trim to see how it works then :)

This is one of four conditioners that I buy repeatedly. My hair is the type of hair that this product is intended for; very dry and damaged.

I don't necessarily love the ingredients, but I can't deny that they work wonders for my hair. This conditioner is super moisturizing, and it provides my hair with fantastic shine, reduced frizz to almost nothing, and takes care of flyaways (of which I have an abundance), not to mention that the smell is wonderful and lasts well into the next day after having been used. Great stuff.

The only thing that i can complain about is the consistency; for some reason, it seems too runny for my hair, and my hair doesn't like to drink it up. I have to rub this into my hair, and I also have to use a lot, which is okay because it is quite affordable. It does leave a bit of a build up if I don't shampoo my hair at least once a week, but the results it gives me are worth the extra trouble. I highly recommend this for damaged, or dry hair. I can't believe something this effective can be obtained so cheaply and easily. It's marvelous.

My hair is medium fine/course and on the wavy end. I find this conditioner really tames my hair and makes it so slick and smooth. It also moisturizes very well...with the price of each bottle at <$5 i definitely think this conditioner is well worth it! It tames and moisturizes without flattening my hair, so i still have volume and styling my hair after showering is now a delight compared to before.

It seems to really matter that the products one uses match up with hair type, and I absolutely would not think that this version would be good for someone with fine, mildly damaged hair.

I like this a lot. However, one thing I'm certain of, is that it does buildup. This is not necessarily a bad thing if there is a lot of damage though. I actually found it worked better for me than (gasp) Kerastase Chroma Reflect. After trying a few versions of Kerastase hair products I'm beginning to think that the brand is more geared to fine hair; mine is wavy and somewhat coarse.

The reason I know it is leaving some sort of residue on my hair is that I can feel the difference in tension using the round brush when I am drying it. However, so far this has been beneficial. My hair actually looks and feels better when dry and styled than it has in a long time.

Something went very wrong, and my hair became moderately to even severely damaged about 18 months ago. It was just that perfect storm of events, I had a keratin straightening treatment (I think) too soon after the previous one, then I stopped going to my colorist and began doing it myself, a couple of mis-steps there for sure! About this time last year my hair was so brittle it would just snap off.

What helped, other than cutting as much damage off as could be done, was using Joico Moisture Recovery (LOVE it!) as a mask. Even with regular use of the Joico, if I was not careful to not get my hair too hot with the hairdryer , my hair ends would get "crispy. I have the Rusk Speed Freak hairdryer and it gets HOT!

In reference to Joico Moisture Recovery, I recently made the mistake (for me) of sleeping with it on my hair overnight, and my scalp has been itchy ever since. So, I thought I needed to give the Joico a rest until the reaction calmed down, and I caught a recent MUA review of the L'Oreal.

One mistake I think I made (as far as the buildup ) is, I'm so used to the concept of putting conditioner on my hair and leaving it, that the first time I used this, I worked it through my hair and left it about 5 minutes or so. After I could tell it felt coated during drying it, I went back and actually READ the label, and instructions say just work through and rinse out. No mention of leaving it on for any period of time.

But, coated or not, my hair looks so much better than it has in such a long time! Its not brittle, although the Joico had been helping a lot with this issue, and the splits are much less noticeable after even one use of this L'Oreal conditioner.

The pricing for it can't be beat, and the bottle is very user friendly. Its nice that it dispenses from the bottom.

I guess only time will tell if the buildup is going to be a problem. Right now its not, but I've only used the conditioner a few times.

I have short medium-thick hair that's very damaged from a lot of foil highlights abuse. I'm trying to grow it out & I want it to be healthier & protected. (I've stopped highlighting for the past 4 months.)

Nothing I've tried has quenched the parched state of my dried-out crispy fried hair. Yesterday was the first time I tried this conditioner for very dry/damaged hair & it made SUCH a difference! Cost only $5 at my local Duane Reade & it made my hair so soft, from the rinse all the way up to now (next day). Usually any softness a conditioner gives me is gone by the time my hair dries, then it becomes all crispy again.

This one is rich & a little *sticky* but it doesn't seem to contain tons of silicones (if any at all) & it rinsed out very easily & cleanly from my hair. Maybe longer hair might take more work to rinse out, I don't know. Very surprisingly hydrating, & I say it's surprising b/c no other conditioner I've used to hydrate my hair has fulfilled that purpose except this one. I really like it & I'm glad I trusted the reviews here that convinced me to get it. I'm considering getting the matching shampoo to go with it. My hair is no longer dull (I used clarifying shampoo before using this conditioner) & FINALLY feels like real hair again. Not like straw. It's only day one, so my positive review may be premature but I'm already impressed & I hope the good results continue. If they do, this will be my new HG hair conditioner (which I haven't had since Wella Regenal was discontinued a couple yrs ago).

I tried to bleach my hair and it turned bright orange. It also was.. spongey

This conditioner saved my hair! It's lovely and soft and shiney now. Not quite like it was before, but much better than after bleaching it.

Smells lovely too!
