Unsetttlingly, something about this product instantly reminded me of the dentist. I think it is the white color/consistency of the product, and the creepy little spongelike thing you apply it with. That alone is enough to kind of put me off it, but I'm also honestly not convince dit really does much. I don't wear a lot of lipstick (which begs the question why I felt I needed this), so I havent tested it very much, but when I have, I really dont think it has prolonged the wear of my lipstick.. It does, however, make lipstick easier to apply, (makes it go on smoother). Be careful using this with a light colored lipstick, it may make the color look lighter (this may be me not applying it correctly, admittedly).

I just got this, but seems to keep my lipstick from feathering or fading. The afterfeel is not super drying like some other similiar products, but it does seem to deliver some moisture as promised. Will have to keep using this to see how it fares in the long run. NOt bad and may update in a few weeks.

This product is okay. Kinda pricey for a d/s brand (10.50 at CVS). I had wanted to try Laura Geller Lip Spackle for priming my lips but before shelling out the $23 for that, I decided to try Sally Hansen's primer first. It comes on pretty white on my pigmented lips but not white enough to neutralize the color of my lips. And if my lips are sort of chapped, the primer will make my lips look VERY chapped. Application of lipstick wasn't any different and the look and wear of my lipstick wasn't any different. It does prevent my lips from feeling dry--cuz some lipsticks make my lips feel really dry. Overall, it's a decent product. If you have pigmented lips and want to wear nude lipsticks, try this. I still want to try Laura Geller's lip spackle though.

I like this ok. It is good for days when my poor lips are so chapped, it smooths them out so I can put lipstick over without yucky chunks of dead skin catching too much color and looking weird.

I actually like this lip primer and I'm pleasantly surprise at how well it works. I think that this product is amazing because the L'oreal colour riche l/s stays on really nicely and the l/s doesn't feel as greasy w/o this primer. I got it for about 2.49 on clearance. I even bought a back up because I might not find it anywhere in the future. (It's amazing how some drugstore products work so good that it make certain high end products look like crap.) This makes my lips so soft and the lippies don't feather or bleed like before. This might become my HG lip primer!

This lip primer is absolutely wonderful to use under the long lasting lip colors. Today I used it without balm first before I applied Maybelline Colorstay. I still have color on my lips from 8:00 a.m. this morning and it looks pretty darn good. Usually these long last lippies wear off in horrible chunks on my lips. My experience this product works better this way than with regular lippies. With them I did not have as good luck.

Very happy with this product. My lipstick color lasts much longer and this helps prevent the lipstick and glosses from running down my face.

At $9.99, I was a little leery about buying a lip primer from Sally Hansen's new lip line. However, I'm really glad that I took the plunge! I've been in the market for a lip primer that neutralizes my lip color without totally drying out my lips. It comes in a slender baby-blue tube.... almost looks like a mascara tube. It has a typical doe-foot applicator and the primer itself is white in color. The scent is heavily reminiscent of cherry cough syrup (yay for childhood nostalgia) but it nearly disappears w/ application. The primer goes on very smooth and silky. It made my lips more pale (I have fairly pigmented lips) but not completely pale/white. The primer dried pretty quickly but... its really hard to describe the way it made my lips feel. Once dry, it forms almost a "barrier" on the lips that is neither heavy nor drying. It was very comfortable, in fact. I tried MAC's "Hug Me" on top of it to see if it makes it appear more pigmented/lasts longer (like it's supposed to do). I did notice that I did not have to layer the lipstick on as much as I normally do in order to get a good amount of color. Once I had applied my lipstick, I went along as I normally would, checking every so often in a mirror to see how it was holding up. The color did seem to last much longer than normal (at least 2 hours) but even more miraculously, my lips did NOT feel even slightly dried out (which is what most lipsticks do to me). Once I ate a meal (the lipstick subsequently wore off in the meantime), I noticed that my lips were not dry, flaky, or even uncomfortable in the slightest. It was almost like I wasn't wearing any lipstick at all. Now that it's been more than four hours, my lips are still soft and perfectly smooth. . . Still, keep in mind that my lips weren't dried or chapped to begin with (I think this is really the key.. to have unchapped lips to being with).

In a nutshell, this primer is amazing. It truly does "lock" the moisture in my lips and keeps my lips from feeling uncomfortable or dry while wearing lipstick! HG for sure.
