This is my HG of eye pencils! I prefer dark brown eyeliner over black for a softer, everyday look. This blackberry color comes on dark brown with hints of plum - I love it! It lasts all day without smearing.

I'm on my second pencil right now.

When I first tried this pencil out, i was amazed. I was over at a friend's house, and had totally forgotten my makeup, so my friend lent me this eyeliner.

The color is a dark plummy brown with miniscule sparkles, which are not noticeable, but do make a slight difference. You may hate it, you may like it.

this is a dupe for Urban Decay's 24/7 pencil eyeliner in Rockstar. I do not own Rockstar, but I have tested it side by side with Revlon Blackberry. And I have to say, the colors are pretty much the same ^__^

Urban Decay's pencils are known for being suuuper buttery and creamy to the touch. Revlon Colorstay may not be as abnormally amazing, but its still creamy enough to not tug on your skin when you line your eyes.

I bought Revlon Colorstay for around $8. Urban Decay 24/7 retails for around $20, making Colorstay a HUGE bargin ^__^

What I like most about Revlon Colorstay eyeliner is that it is a retractable/self-sharpening eyeliner. I hate having to buy a seperate sharpener for my eyeliner pencils, and this saves a great amount of time.

There's a little sharpener at the end tip of the packaging. If your product becomes a bit blunt, pop out the sharpener, twist the product in gently a couple of times, and BAM! Fresh, precise eyeliner, ready to use.

Would I buy this again? Heck yeah. Eyeliner is a staple.

This is a very nice drugstore eyeliner. It definitely has long staying power, and that's saying a lot because I really have oily lids and most eyeliners smudge in a few hours on me. This one doesn't, so I don't end up with racoon eyes. The color blackberry is also very pretty, it compliments my dark brown eyes well. Would definitely repurchase.

I love eyeliners where you don't have to sharpen! This is a gorgeous dark plummy/brown color that makes my brown eyes pop! Doesn't stay well on waterline. I love using this to outline and wing my upper lash line. Def lasts for a really long time when I apply it that way. This color is a good alternative for the regular brown liner. Def would repurchase!

I'm not so enthusiastic about this purple. Most purple liners/shadows make my hazel eyes look more green, but not this one :( The navy color actually does a better job for hazel/green eyes IMO. Revlon colorstay liners also have a tendency to irritate my eyes if I use it on the inner rims, so be cautious! I gave it 2 lippies because this liner is true to its "colorstay" label, it really does last all day with no touch ups required.

This was an emergency purchase... one day, I had a horrible morning and cried all my eye makeup off, but had to leave directly from work to go to an art show and I only had mascara with me. I asked my husband to pick up eyeliner for me at Target so I could apply it when he met me at the show. I specifically told him Revlon Colorstay in black, although I have never tried this eyeliner, because it was the first thing that came to mind and I didn't want him wasting time weighing the merits of different types. They were out of black so he settled for Blackberry. This is just an okay eyeliner. It goes on smoothly and wears well but I'm not amazed by it. The color on my eye is a slightly purpled charcoal color, rather than the blackened plum of the cap. I don't notice any shimmer, which is fine because I don't like shimmer liners. I wear this when I want a softer than black look. I may or may not purchase again, because it's not a staple but it's not terrible either.

This color was a bit of a disappointment. I wanted it to be more plum, but it looks more grey-black on my eyes. It is a soft color though so it isn't as harsh as the black, and so gives a more natural (but still quite dramatic) look. I would buy this again.

doesn't look as much plum on me as a dark brown, but i still like it. the shimmers are really negligible, which i am ok with. i gave it 4 stars though and not 5 because i think it doesn't last as long as the black one. But I have been repurchasing for years now and will keep doing so in the future..

This is the longest lasting eyeliner I own, and the color is a dead-on dupe for Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Rockstar. This one is not as creamy as the Urban Decay, but it is not dry by any means. I like it because it is not as harsh as black but is still dark enough to define eyes. It has a VERY slight shimmer but no glitter, which I like for a more refined day look. And the price is right! This is a definite repurchase for me.

I prefer Revlon's Colorstay eyeliners, particularly Blackberry, to more expensive, department store eyeliners. Blackberry is a sophisticated deep purple that pairs well with any pink, purple, or nude/brown eyeshadow. It stays on longer than other eyeliners that I have tried and yet is not difficult to remove with Purpose or Neutrogena facewash. My only complaint is that mine has started to retract into the tube during application. However, this problem is solved by simply turning the eyeliner to expose more product.

This is a great eyeliner. The color looks almost like a dull black, but the addition of the purple brings out the green in my hazel eyes wonderfully.

The pros: longer lasting than most other eyeliners; great color.

The cons: still not as long lasting as I'd like on my super oily, sunscreened eyelids; takes numerous applications to get as much pigment as I'd like, especially when I apply over foundation and eyeshadow; tendency to flake while you're putting on these numerous applications and during subsequent touch ups; drier formula.

The Revlon Color Stay eyeliners are my second favorite to Prestige Waterproof and Prestige Intensity (nonautomatic) eyeliners. The Prestige seems to last a bit longer, applies more smoothly (almost like a liquid), and doesn't flake. The ease of an automatic pencil and the lovely color keeps me coming back to the Revlon as well, though.

I really enjoy this eyeliner as it's a great alternative and break from my usual black or dark brown. The slight plummy undertone works for my green eyes and the formula like other Revlon Colorstay pencils is quite long wearing. It's not the creamiest formula I have used and I do notice slight tugging during application, but I do like the color and length of wear.

I was looking at my mom's eyeliners one day, and I saw Blackberry. I tried it out and loved it. I rushed out to Target the next day and bought my own. I had been looking for a pretty brown waterproof eyeliner for summer, and I had found it. It is now my favorite eyeliner. The color of this eyeliner is really unique. It is a deep deep brown (close to black) with plum undertones. This color is perfect for me because the brown colors bring out the blue in my eyes while the plum undertones bring out the flecks of green. All in all it just really brightens my eyes, and it stays on the waterline perfectly. I use this to line my top lashline, and both my waterlines and I love it!

I actually discovered this shade by accident. I was in a rush one day and picked this up instead of the black liner. Blackberry is a deep dark eggplant purple. I would say it sometimes looks like a black too. I love the colorstay eyeliners in general and this one is no different. Pigmented, creamy formula that doesn't require harsh tugging of the eye and most importantly for me, it doesn't smudge so I can wear this happily without having to worry about raccoon eyes even in humid weather.

This is a perfect cheap dupe for my Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in ROCKSTAR!
Its a cool tones dark brown with eggplant/plum soft metallic like finish. This and Rockstar are so awesome as they do NOT give you the bruised red eye look, that some redder toned liners can do!

I highly recommend this if you want your expensive $18.00 UD Rockstar liner to last or just buy it to save yourself
"a lot" of money!

Blackberry is definitely "not as soft" as Urban Decay.
But its not suppose to...... because its not made to be in the "Gel Liner Pencil" category.
I go over all my liners again anyways, after eyeshadow application.....so to me, its no matter.

This one had a tad more dark brown base and it does not have as much of a "metallic sheen" like Rockstar.
Though, both the above is not really evident upon application.

I use this liner during the week most of the time.
I save my UD for weekends and whenever I am going out.

Plum/Eggplant colored eyeliners are a great substitute for the normal dark brown liners.
These colors really give that extra oomph for us brown haired and brown eyed chicks!(though I know for a fact, that they do look good on most anyone!)

I love this and I am happy I took a chance with this one!
I will most definitely repurchase!

I have used this eyeliner in black for years, but just realized that the blackberry version existed. And I have to say that, while I still love the black for those occasions when only black eyeliner will do, I find myself using the blackberry liner most of the time. On me, it is dark and matte, not garish purple at all -- it provides excellent definition without looking as harsh as black. It also wears like iron -- no smudging or bleeding at all. I also like that it can provide a thin line or a thicker one with ease. The packaging is nice, too -- easy to control, and simple to take along in my purse or for travel. I always have at least one spare of these on hand, so I never run out!

This is one of my favorite eyeliners. I have re-purchased this numerous times...it is extremely flattering on my greenish/bluish eyes, and has remarkable staying power once applied. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, and I'm able to remove it relatively well. My only gripe is that when blending, you need to work relatively quickly to smudge otherwise it won't budge too well. I use this in conjunction with my BE Fashionista eye shadow to do a smokey eye--they are an excellent match--and together they are awesome. It can tug a bit when applying, so I tried the "warming with the blowdryer" trick and that solved the problem. One of my HG eyeliners!

This definitely is my HG eyeliner. :) It stays put and doesn't smudge (if you don't want it to). I wear it to school everyday and still looks great when I come home. The color is very pretty. It's like a dark purple/brown color with a little shimmer. I also love that it's retractable. You should definitely try this out, it won't disappoint! :D

I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this product before now for this is my go to eyeliner. It's not an outright purple but what I would describe as a purplish-brown. It can look more brown or more purple depending on what color eyeshadow you wear with it. It's very long lasting and I even wear it on my lower lashline with no smearing or fading but I do use UDPP with it which doesn't even make a difference with some liners. A very high-quality product that is great for everyday eyelooks and I would recommend this to anyone. A++
