I purchased this as I was looking for a cleansing mask for the summer that wouldn't upset my on again off again Rosacea. This is it! It's mostly natural, which is lovely -- and does what I need it to do; deep clean my pores and help with overall balancing (nevermind feed my addiction for weekly mask treatments!). The scent is a little too perfumey -- as I would actually prefer it to have that acidic/sweet natural scent of tomato! However you do get used to it. It dries nicely -- and tingles slightly only the first few minutes upon application. To remove -- I have used just water and my hands; or at times a washcloth, But I really like to remove it with a teaspoon or so of fine sugar crystals to manually exfoliate my skin. This also helps to remove all the mask. The nice double punch of ooomph! -- makes for a nice rosy complexion afterwards. I've never broken out from this --- or had an overall reddening of the skin that lasted more than 20 minutes. Keep this in mind -- as you'll have to wait before applying makeup or heading out the door afterwards. Another great product from c Booths!

This is truly a spa experience minus the drive to the spa. This is a high performance mask which draws out oil and imparts a slight exfoliating action, without somehow being overly aggressive. Your skin is visibly smoother afterwards. I recommend this for tough, oily-combination skin as it has fruit acids which are rather potent. The only drawback is that it takes a while to dry (25mins), much longer than what the instructions indicate but is it very easy to wash off. It is also runny so be careful as you can get a massive blob and make a mess at the sink. You can see it working as it dries to a light pink and all the places where it has drawn out the oil, they are a darker carmine colour.

I'm sorry the other reviewer had a bad experience w/this irritating the eyes, I've had that problem w/another mask and I know what it's like, it sucks! Anyhoo, maybe it was a bad batch, b/c I didn't have that problem with this one at all. Nice and unique formula--I had heard tomato was good for clarifying skin, and while this is no miracle worker, it helps to add a slight glow to my pale, dull skin and helps to smooth out and slighly clarify w/out making me break out from an extraction-type effect. In other words, gentle enough to use before a special night, but effective enough to make my skin prettier. Didn't give it a 5 because it's not a miracle pimple spot treatment (although, it wouldn't be as gentle if it were. Basically, I can't afford Fresh Umbrian mask right now).

OMG...this burnt my eyes like crazy! From the first swipe on my cheek, my eyes started to burn and tear. By the time I had it all over my face and neck (avoiding the eye area, of course) I could hardly keep my eyes open they burned so badly. The tearing wouldn't stop and was wiping away most of the product. I couldn't wait the recommended 5 to 10 minutes. I had to remove this mask within a couple of minutes. I am so disappointed because even though it was doing crazy things to my eyes, after removing it my skin was super soft...and I washed it off early. It also has so many really great ingredients (Canadian Mineral Clay, Lactic Acid, Malic Acid, Algea Extract...to name a few). I'm really bummed it didn't work for me:(
