nice lightweight gel for oily skin with anti-wrinkle properties and slight wrinkle fighting power. a sweet scent that i don't mind that much. good gel for under powder. i kinf of like an unscented product for face at times which is why i gave it a 4.5, but it is still good.

Value for money considering the volume. Very light, cooling and non greasy. Seemed to reduce the fine lines on my neck. Perfect for my combi skin (oily T-zone) as it is a gel-based. However, this may not be too moistsurising for those with dry skin.

Does nothing for me. It is basically vitamin a & e in a glycerin gel base. Does not moisturize or improve skin clarity or fine lines. Has an unpleasant floral smell.

About me: oily, acne-prone skin plus actual acne, a few fine lines under my eyes, large pores, and acne scarring/ redness after the actual pimple is gone
A couple of months ago I was following the acne.org regimen with benzoyl peroxide treatment. I did it for about three weeks and thought I could up the dosage of benzoyl peroxide and my skin could handle it. Boy, was I wrong. My face felt like it was burning and there were inflamed scab-things around my eye area (and I made it a point to keep the benzoyl peroxide away from there). From that moment on I couldn't put anything on my face without it feeling like it was on fire (moisturizers for dry skin or sensitive skin, alcohol-free toner, aloe vera gel, serums, cleansers, even oils). A couple of days go by and my scabs look like bruises; it went from a pink/ light red color to dark brown (like I had been punched in the face; it was bad). Not only that but my skin was dehydrated since I couldn't put anything on it. Worse yet, my fine lines looked deep as if I had aged 20 years. So I was wandering around my local Wal-Mart and stumbled across this product. I had the Philosophy retinol night treatment and used it religiously for three months and saw little to no improvement. I wanted to buy a regular and cheap Vitamin A thing to phase out the Philosophy. So I bought the gel (rather than the day cream or night cream) because my skin is naturally oily, it was cheap ($11 for 220 ml), and it said it was good for pimples and wrinkles.
Before I used it for the first time, my skin was dry, sensitive, inflamed, and dehydrated. I put the gel on and it was the only thing I could put on without a burning sensation. More than that, it was cool and refreshing on my skin. I was saved. Instantly I noticed my skin was hydrated, my wrinkles were lessened and I could treat my skin until it comes back to normal. This is why I am giving it such high marks: when my skin is oily, this mattes it out and when my skin is dry and sensitive it is one of the few things I can use without making it worse. A big plus is its value. Also, it absorbs quickly and easily. Sometimes I use this gel alone as a moisturizer in the mornings and its fine by itself.
As for its claims, I'm going to say I don't know. I use different products to treat my acne and honestly I'm not getting a lot of great results from any of them (a lot of the reddish spots fade faster but I still get major pimples. And my pimples aren't the kind where you can feel it coming or see it and you attack with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid and it'll go away. No, it still comes out and then it takes me a good week until it becomes a flat red or brown dot and then I have to deal with the dots). And when I added this to my regimen I haven't seen that great of an improvement with my acne situation (I didn't become blemish-free over the course of its use). For wrinkle-fighting I did use Philosophy's Help Me religiously every night for three months and saw nothing great for my wrinkles or acne; nothing was worse but nothing was made better. Now I use the Vitamin A gel with Help Me (because there's not a lot and I don't want to waste my money) with a night cream. I have noticed a lessening in the prominence of my eye wrinkles but in all honesty I think it is my Hylauronic and Pycnogenol eye cream from Derma E since it is my only eye cream and I use it morning and night (at night I put Help Me and the Vitamin A gel around my eye area and then the eye cream. My skin is good in that it can handle it).
From what I've experienced I think it is like other reviewers have said: that this product is not a stand alone, all-purpose product. This is more of a helper for other products. With its use at night I notice the red spots are gone faster than using acne or skin lightening treatments alone (as I have done before) and I think it does help my eye cream fight wrinkles better than using eye creams by itself (also did this). As for my acne, I do get pimples but not as many and I like having the re-assurance that a product I use at night can help fight it (I don't like using my salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide at night with my retinol making both of them useless). Also for a product that fights blemishes, it doesn't dry out my skin or make it feel tight which I really like (my personal experience includes: 100% tea tree oil, 20% tea tree oil as a lotion-type product, Clean and Clear acne face lotion, PTR 2% salicylic acid treatment with glycolic acid, Clean and Clear acne toner with alcohol, 5% benzoyl peroxide treatment, Pro-Activ kit).
Overall, I do like it and would re-purchase it since it is such a great helper. And, I'm going to say it, it gets a big plus for being paraben-free and cruelty-free. I know it looks bad when I still use Help Me and it has parabens and I don't investigate whether a company tests on animals so I end up buying from them BUT I'm trying. So I'm going to investigate more stuff from this company to get on the right track.

This is very much like one of my all time favourite gel's from pharmacy but with anti aging properties. Needless to say i didn't notice any. Still, i like this gel. The bottle is huge and not very expensive. I have very sensitive acne prone skin and this didn't cause any breakouts like many many creams and gels do. I'm not quite sure if i'd buy it again. They don't sell this brand in here and i think im not going to order only this from abroad because this is no miracle :D Anyhow i can recommed to this to everybody who has sensitive skin. Very nice gel indeed.

In reality, I don’t think this product does much, BUT, it is a great vehicle for other products that do! It is like aloe vera gel in consistency, but not sticky like aloe can be. I have very oily, breakout prone skin and I tried to use it as my day moisturizer but it wasn’t substantial enough to create a good base for my mineral powder foundation. But then, as counterintuitive as it sounds, I decided to mix it with Credentials Liquid Gold which is a dry oil for the face and WHABAM…I created the perfect day moisturizer, makeup primer, oil control product! I know what you are thinking, but it works. I guess it is the fighting oil with oil concept…my skin must be easily fooled by imposter oils. I am not saying I have a matte face now, I just find myself blotting much less and the fine lines where my makeup used to setting when it got oily are no longer visible. Like I said, how much of this has to do with this particular product itself I don’t know, but together they work great! It is also good for mixing other treatment products with. I have a few products that are a little harsh, or come in a form that are very liquidy and hard to apply and mixing them with this makes it easier and, I think, more effective.

I absolutely love this product. I have very sensitive, dry, acne prone skin. I've tried so many moisturizers that clogged my pores and broke me out. This one is different, aloe gelconsistency, no distinct smell, makes skin feel so refreshed and soft. It is really light but moisturizing enough, it's also great under make up, i don't even use primer anymore. i think because it creates some kind of barrier between skin and make up, my skin started to clear up and redness already disappeared. I got mine on iherb.com for $8, bottle is huge! Because of the price i put it on my neck now too at least 1 a day. If you are a first time customer on iherb.com, you can use promo code FIN864 and get $5 off your purchase, great deal!

This is a great basic daytime moisturizer to use during the summer time. I've recommended it to my sister who has a completely different skin type and she likes it as well. It absorbs quickly allowing me to effortlessly apply my primer and foundation. I cannot speak to the 'wrinkle reduction' factor as I don't use it for that purpose. My nighttime routine seeks to combat aging with a treatment serum and intensive moisturizer. However, if you are looking for something that will not cause breakouts then look no further.

Useless product in my opinion. It claims to reduce lines and wrinkles as well as combat blemishes and restore skin to a healthy glow. It is a clear cool gel that sinks in immediately into the skin. It is only $10 for a 220mL (8 Fl. oz) bottle. The bottle is a flip cap squeeze tube. It is formulated with 10, 000 IU per 100gram, offering skin maximum nourishment. It is also vegan, paraben and cruelty free.
I personally did not like this product. I don't know if it lives up to it's anti wrinkles claim, but it certainly does not reduce blemishes. In fact, it irritated my skin and inflamed it causing this horrible rash to appear over my neck and chest (good thing I did not put it on my face). I stopped using it and the rash disappeared after a week. I spot tested it to be sure of whether or not this product caused it, and sure enough it became and red and inflamed. I was able to safely use it on my legs, but that it (not after shaving though, it would sting). It did not add any moisture to my otherwise normal skin, I had to combine a separate moisturizer with it. To play it safe, I discontinued use all together. Clearly,my skin does not like this product.
I guess this is a hit or miss product. Maybe I'm part of a rare percentage that could not use it. I'm not even sure what could have caused the reaction considering how short the ingredient list is(I take supplements with Vitamin A. and have never had a problem internally). Lesson learned- always spot test first now matter how safe sounding the product.
Happy Shopping!

I like this product a lot. It doesn't moisturize that well, but if you have oily skin, this might be a good alternative. I use it in the morning, and it makes my skin feel so refreshed, and for a price of about ten bucks, can you really go wrong? Also, a surprising use for this is a kind of faux-primer. It smooths out your face, so I use it as a base for my smashbox tinted moisturizer.

I've been using a couple of other much pricier products on my face and wasn't getting very impressive results, if any, and a few weeks ago I decided to throw this in the mix just out of curiosity. I am pretty certain that this is actually what has made my skin look much healthier, plumper and, dare I say, younger! And you absolutely cannot beat the price. A huge(for antiaging skin care, that is) 8 oz. bottle will only set you back around 12 dollars US. I still have HYPER oily skin at 43 and much prefer using gels on my face and that is another point in this product's favor. My skin is not particularly sensitive and I have not noticed any unpleasant reactions using it on my face and neck. Will definitey repurchase.

This is top stuff. I use this for my face during the warmer seasons and it provides great moisture with no greasiness. Absorbs quickly, no smell and does a good job smoothing out rough patches and fine lines. This is one of the best things I have found to keep oil at bay, much better than stuff that is designed to absorb oil. You can use as much or as little as you want, it absorbs fully either way and has the consistency of aloe vera gel. This is great stored in the fridge for summer esp if you use it for the body. Ideally I would like the vitamin A content to be greater but the amount is enough to definitely see a difference. During winter I use this under moisturiser, since I can’t tolerate serums and it works amazingly well. Price can’t be beat and the bottle lasts a very long time. I highly recommend you give this a go if you have oily skin. Since this absorbs so well, I can use primer then makeup without any overkill. I have also used this as a cooling moisturising mask, I just tissue off then I don’t use anything afterwards. This is a very versatile product and I will be buying again and again. I keep the bottle stored upside down so product is easily dispensed.

I found this at my vitamin store and used it all over my body last night and this morning. I have very itchy legs from shaving so I have to be careful what I put on them or I end up scratching in my sleep. This stuff totally cleared up some red and patchy areas and I feel great! I just used a touch on my face as I use so many products already, but even if I just use it for my body it's great! Very cheap as well and I love the dispenser.
Update: I have started using this as a cleanser mixed with my Neostrata 4 in 1. It is great and makes my face feel really clean.

This seemed like it would be perfect for my 30-something year old skin since I still get acne and used to be a big fan of retin A when I was a teenager & in my 20s. You get a huge bottle of this (8 ounces for $8 at vitacost), which is quite a deal. It's a clear gel that is light and it absorbs well. The smell is very light, which is good because I can't stand strong smells. The reason for my negative review, however, is that it makes my skin break out! At first I thought I may be mistaken, so I stopped using it and my skin cleared up. So I started using it again, and sure enough, I broke out with about 7 or 8 red, inflammed pimples. I stopped using this again, and they are already clearing up, so I do think that it was linked to this prduct. I think I will stick with the Alpha Hydrox 10% glycolic acid lotion, it seems to work best for my skin. I will use this up on my body, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I love Derma-E products, and added this recently to my routine along with the Glycolic cleanser, which is my HG. This is DEFINITELY not moisturizing - at least not in the super dry, cold climate that I live in. But it is basically 10,000 IU's of vitamins A and E, so it seems like a good, light exfoliator to use under a moisturizer. It's inexpensive, light, smells nice. It's hard to tell if it's doing anything yet - my skin is in really good shape wrinkle-wise (I'm 33 and still get carded) so I figure - it can't hurt, especially around the neck and chest areas.

This review is for Derm e Vitamin A Wrinkle Treatment Cream (since its not listed)
This moisturizer didn't really irritate my sensitive skin (which is good) but it didn't really do anything either. Didn't do anything for wrinkles/ skin tone etc. but then again most vitamin a creams don't have enough vitamin A to anyway ... sooo... (better off which a high percentage vitamin a serum etc)
It also was just NOT moisturizing enough. It was thick and goopey and even though it was thick it didn't seem to moisturize enough. Left a sort of "matte" finish which I don't love. I like a dewier/ wetter more moisturizing moisturizer.
All natural though. No particularly sensitizing ingredients.

I really enjoy this product and the price is really low for such a large bottle.
I use regularly around my eyes. It give my skin a nice little glow, even a little shine.
I have been exfoliating my neck and décolté more frequently lately (summer's coming!) and since i didn't want to waste expensive face products on this larger area, i put this vitamin A gel twice a day.
The difference is amazing! The skin is much smoother and nicely toned after just 2 weeks.
The texture of the product is also great. Absorbs almost imediately and doesn't leave a sticky residue.

I have been looking for the ideal moisturizer for my skin and now I feel I have found it in this product. This gel provides light, lasting moisture that is ideal for acne prone, oily skin. It works wonderfully both at night and under makeup during the day. When I wear it at night, the next morning my skin looks supple and refreshed. In the daytime, it helps my makeup go on smoothly. It does not make my skin more shiny, as many moisturizers do. At the same time, it providers needed moisture. Further, it is a great deal. The bottle is pretty large for a face lotion and a vary small amount goes a long way. One only needs a tiny dollop to cover the face and neck.

I have been trying to switch to natural products . I have sensitive skin that is also oily and prone to breakouts . So alot of the all natural brand moisturizers have made me break out . This one seems to be working so far its a clear gel with almost no scent and it sinks in and is not sticky . it does seem to be drying my skin a little .. and I still break out .,but I dont think this is causing it . Edit ,= after 2 weeks it started burning my face . stopped using it .
