As a lipgloss it's great - no need to explain! Nice color, a bit sticky, but therefore long-lasting.

But I was wondering how incredibly fast it was empty, although I don't use it that much. It's looks quite big, like it normally should be, but if you take off the little stick on the bottom of the lipgloss you'll see how little it is!

Yes, indeed, it's a very nice lipgloss, but for this price I will buy next time one or more similar glosses with the same nice quality, but double the quantity!
My L'oreal Glam shine is 6 ml, costs half of the price and does the exact same thing not less better than this Mac Dazzleglass!

I was quite disappointed after realizing that "TINY" little fact, after a week to two this gloss could be done completely if used regularly.

My sister put me on to this gloss. I would have ever thought I needed this but I do! So far I tried this over viva glam 1, dubonet, brave red and speak louder which is my favorite combo out of all. The gloss has the clear tined soft red glaze effect with soft sparkle and brings out any lipstick. Beautiful

Granted, Mac lip glosses are all very sticky, but I'm kind of used to it now, so I just take the stickiness as a given. Love Alert has great colour pay-off. It adds a beautiful rosy tint and cute glitter without leaving you looking childish. I use this by itself for just everyday, otherwise I'll use it over various lipsticks, like trimming talk, just to jazz them up. Theoretically, if I lost this I probably would replace, but if I ever get to the bottom of the tube I think I'd rather try one of the other 10000000 Lip glosses Mac has.

Love Alert is really something else! You can use it over a red lipstick to get some serious glamorous lips or you can wear it on its own to have slightly red and very shiny lips. The scent is pleasent and with the bristle applicator you can really get the into all the corners which is a big plus. The lasting power is superb and I have never seen it before...BUT...I think that's all due to the stickiness this dazzleglass has. Your lips get very sticky which is rather annoying for me and when I try to take it off buy just rubbing a napkin or something over it, it's still very hard to remove. If you don't use makeup remover you kind of peal your skin off of your lips. But in general this dazzleglass is fabulous and it is wise to just leave it as it is untill you are home and have some decent products to take it off!

This is the first Dazzleglass I've ever owned, and by far the shimmeriest make-up item, baring eyeshadows. Even with shadows, I usually prefer a matte finish, and matte or creme on lips and nails, so this is a big departure.

I wouldn't wear this on its own, but I LOVE it over lipstick, especially reds- I wear red l/s almost every day, and if I want to dress it up for nights, a coat of this has serious punch. I've worn it over Ruby Woo, and Illamasqua Encounter.

It's a bit sticky, like all MAC glass, but I find that helps with the longevity.

Love Alert is my second Dazzleglass. So far I'm really loving the dazzleglass lip glosses. Love Alert is a hot raspberry pink lip gloss with reddish and pink shimmer particles in it. The shimmer is not over-the-top though, it's just the right amount of shimmer. It looks scarily red in the tub but once applied it's actually a raspberry pink color. Very pretty color! The staying power is what you can expect from a lip gloss, so average staying power. I like the packaging. Comes in a sleek tube with a brush applicator. This is a wonderful summer color for me.
I would definitely repurchase. Love Alert is a lip gloss I highly recommend.

this is the first dazzle glass i tried from mac and i love it! the color is not too red so if you are worried about that don't worry, its a sheer red. it has just the right amount of sparkle and its a great lipglass for everyday and every occasion. i recommend wearing a more neutral eye and then a dramatic cheek and lipstick with this lip gloss. it's kind of sticky but not as sticky as others.

This was quite a pleasant surprise! I was looking for a red or deep pink l/g for the holiday season, which is challenging given that I usually shy away from reds. I was looking for something festive but not OTT, and Love Alert is exactly what I needed.


This is actually not a true red, but a dark hot pink with reddish/hot pink sparkles on me. It's definitely not OTT and definitely festive. It's slightly sheer but most definitely shows up--a gorgeous compromise between l/s and l/g. The shimmer/sparkles are not as in-your-face as I've experienced with other Dazzleglasses (Funtabulous, anyone?).


This is slightly sticky and not very long-lasting (1-2 hours between applications), but it wears nicely and doesn't leave nasty glittery residue on my lips. It's not really moisturizing, either, but if I wanted a really moisturizing formula, I probably wouldn't look at a Dazzleglass anyway. A lip balm underneath is a must.


Love Alert is a great color that I'm glad that I didn't pass up!

I LOVE Dazzleglasses! They have amazing staying power, which is just what I need for my lipstick-repelling skin. However this colour in particular didn't work too well for me. It isn't the fault of the colour, though, but rather to the fact that I have BRIGHT RED skin, as in red as a tomato or a fire engine, flaming red skin! (I don't have rosacea or skin issues, it's just my natural colour, seeing as I'm probably descended from Martians........). This gloss doesn't really show up as raspberry on my lips but rather more like cherry red (but I've got very pigmented lips, so maybe that's why). In other words the same colour as my skin. I'd probably be able to wear it if I also wore a very very effective foundation that made me stop looking red. But I don't want to have to go to all that bother just so I can wear a lip gloss. I'd recommend this gloss if you don't have red skin.

LOVE ALERT is a cheerful shade of raspberry [on me it looks pink-based, not red] packed with red and pink iridescent particles that brightens up my corpse-like n10/15 complexion instantly. The glittery effect the opalescent particles provide makes my lips look a tad fuller too.


The gloss is non-sticky, non-drying, has average lasting power [up to two hours before needing touching up] and I like the packaging; A sleek tube with a slim brush applicator.

I love MAC Dazzleglasses, and this one is my favorite! It's a very BOLD red, and it's packed with sparkles. The glass tube is very elegant, and it really makes me feel like a million bucks when I carry it. This looks amazing layered over a red lipstick, or it provides a sheer wash of sparkly color if worn alone, though it is still bold. This is a quick and easy way for me to transition my look from day to night. If you want to tone this gloss down a little bit, or if you aren't wanting quite so much sparkle, just apply a small dab on your finger and smooth it onto your lips instead of using the brush from the tube. I usually prefer neutral or sheer pink lip products, but I can never say no to this. I think this is perfect if you're looking to try something a little bit different, but you can't bring yourself to purchase a bold red lipstick.

Not my first dazzleglass, but it is one of my favorites.


It's a bright fire red with a blue tint and (of course) lots and lots of glitter. I love the color - it looks great against my skin tone (NC30-NC35). The color is pigmented enough to wear alone which is nice. I also like to layer it on top of a raspberry or red lip color to add some shimmer.


I also love the packaging - I love the brush applicator and its professional packaging.


Pricey, but I have yet to find a dupe for it at the drugstore so I will repurchase when I run out. If you're a girl that likes fun lip colors, or you're trying to branch out of your nude-lip comfort zone, or you're new to MAC and want a good product to start off with, this is a perfect dazzleglass for you!

When i first opened the box, I just cringed at the BRIGHT pink dazzelglass. But you've got to admit its gorgeous to look at! When I put it on, it becomes a gorgeous pink-red raspberry. It is an amazing shade on, sheer and strong enough to wear it by itself. I love it because Im not old enough to pull of Red lips, and i think this is a great youthful substitute. Its bright & happy, and just reminds me of rushed summer make up routines. I gave it a 4 as it has a very sticky consistency and needs a good moisturising lip balm before you can apply it easily. Has a very good durability as it lasts a long time. Would definatly buy it again though, as the colour is just gorgeous!

Love Alert is one of my favourite Dazzleglasses. Its a sheer(ish) candy red-pink on my lips. Nice colour to wear alone, or over something bolder to spice it up!

This was my first Dazzleglass and I love it! I didn't expect I would go through so much of it so quickly because the color does look a little intimidating in the tube but it goes on a lot more sheer than it looks originally. One thing I found about this though is that it can be very drying. I find it works best if I put on Burt's Bees lip balm on my lips before applying the Dazzleglass.

This was my very first dazzleglass and love it. It's light pinky-red with red glitters. It's beautiful with cute-ster under it, or even by itself. I will definitely buy this again

I LOVE THE LOVE ALERT DAZZLE GLASS.

Based on reviews I hoped this would be a subtle but dark raspberry pink.
It is as pigmented as I hoped it to be - it shows up nicely as a raspberry, but since it is very sheer it is very wearable.
I have yet to try it over pink lipstick, I bet it will be great.

Worn on its own it is gorgeous. And the dazzlglasses really make the lips look full. I have full lips already, so I am not sure how much they plump - or not. It sure accentuates the lips' fullness in a great and very beautiful way.
Love them! This was my first of now 4 within a few weeks! and my favorite (I own get rich quick, moth to flame, baby sparks). I like them a lot better than the plushglass.

After Mac finally decided to make their dazzleglasses permanent I went out and bought one.

I decided to buy love alert as i thought it was a beautiful colour and my favourite colour out of all the dazzleglasses on display (however only just ahead of funtabulous).

It looks great on my lips and gives me great colour. The glitter reflex makes your lips appear 2 dimensional and adds a bit of pop to your lips drawing peoples attention to them. It also enhances the size of your lips and pairs well with a red lipstick or a nude.

It lasts a long time on you lips and the bottle is really sophisticated - much better looking than the lipglass, plushglass etc.

Although the price is quite expensive for a lipgloss it is well worth it. After buying love alert it has tempted me into buying other dazzleglasses and raised my expectations of a lip gloss.
