Great brush! I love coastal scents brushes, and this one is no exception. It's so soft and dense, it does the job of applying powder well. I use this with my MSF Natural, and I love it.
I did experience a some shedding when I first washed it, but now there's only the occasional hair that sheds.
Overall, it's a wonderful brush to add to your collection. :)

It looks great, with a black metal base and white and black bristles. Smelled like a new brush, but not goaty or anything. The bristles, despite multiple washings and conditionings, are still scratchy and uncomfortable on my skin.
I would give it a pass, despite the nice cost of it.

I really like the Italian badger brushes. This kabuki brush is soft and is a great fit for my hand. It does the job, quickly blending out powder foundation. I've never experienced any shedding as mentioned by other reviewers.

This brush sheds like crazy and is not even close to being dense enough to apply MMU. I have absolutely no use for it.

I am pretty disappointed with this brush. Having purchase a couple of the other IB brushes from Coastal Scents, I thought this would be pretty great. However, I would caution people who are looking at a kabuki brush to buff powdered makeup into submission on their faces to look elsewhere. The problem is that the brush is simply not dense enough to really do any serious buffing. At best, it is OK just for dusting on finishing powder, or possibly light blending, which is what I've been using it for. I also have the MAC 182, to which this just doesn't compare. If you are looking just for a face powder brush, this is a OK choice, but even fo the low price, there are better choices out there. If you really want to buff in your makeup, then get the Coastal Scents IB Buffer Brush (or break down and get the MAC 182) and don't waste your money on this one. Also, I'd say that the bristles on this brush are somewhat scratchy, certainly scratchier than any of my MAC brushes, and the IB eye brushes. I don't recommend this one.

This is a very decent, large kabuki brush. It's not exactly very soft due to how dense it is, but it applies powder fine, though a bit heavier than I would like it. It's probably great for people who use loose foundation. It shed a bit upon my first 2 uses, but the shedding stopped after that. This product is fab for its price!

Upon initially feeling this brush, I was very impressed by how soft it was. It also looks very nice, with its chic black metal base and dual colored badger bristles. But THEN as soon as I touched it, it began to shed... MASSIVELY. I'm talking at least 30 hairs just after taking it out of the package, 30 more hairs as I was giving it its first wash, then continually shedding 5-10 hairs everytime I ran my finger through it afterwards. Is this normal for a kabuki brush?? I recently washed it the second time, and it still shed a lot, though not as much as the first time.. and it still sheds quite a few hairs when I use it. I had high hopes for this, since I was very impressed by the Italian Badger Large Buffer brush, which did not shed any hairs at all. I still gave it 3 lippies because if only it weren't for the annoyance of having to pick all the hairs off my face, this would be quite lovely to use since it is so soft and full.
UPDATE: I've washed the kabuki several times now, and while it still sheds a couple hairs once in a while, it is not so bad anymore. This was my first kabuki brush so I couldn't tell whether such massive shedding was normal or not; however, it's gotten quite nice to use for translucent powder and so I've upped the rating to 4 lippies.
