Bahama Mama is perfect for anyone who has dumped their old bronzer for being too orange. Bahama Mama is cool-toned, matte, and perfect for medium complexions who don't want their bronzer to shimmer or look too yellow. Because of the depth, the cool tone, and the fact that it's matte, it also works well as a contour powder for fair skin. To use it this way, I use a feathery soft fan brush; that way you don't get a hard line.

PROS:

1. The matte brown color leans slightly olive rather than orange, making it look more natural.
2. The powder has a soft, easy-to-blend texture without much fall, so it isn't messy to use.
3. The color doesn't fade away quickly the way some bronzers do.
4. Deep enough to show up on medium complexions as well as light skin.
5. There is no fragrance.
6. It's $20, making it a less expensive alternative to my medium sculpting powder from Kevyn Aucoin.
7. It can double as an eyeshadow.
8. TheBalm doesn't test on animals.

CON:

The cardboard packaging isn't my favorite. I would prefer a sturdy plastic case with a lid that locks. The cheap packaging prevents this from being a perfect 5.

Very fair skin may find this too dark to be used as a bronzer.

My favorite! I use it on a fluffy angled brush to shade under my cheekbones and along the side of my nose. It could also be used on the eyes as a contour color in a pinch. Very versatile and affordable especially if you grab it when it's on HauteLook like I did.

The Balm has many great products and this is just one of them! This bronzer is a very chocolately brown shade. You only need a little/light hand to work with this product to contour or bronze your face. I love this product, I've gifted these to my friends before.

I got this about a month ago from kohls and I love it as a contour shade! For reference I am an Nw13 in mac waterweight currently. So I am pretty pale and this works awesome as a contour shade. I don't contour very heavily. Just carve out my cheekbones slightly and bring down my 8 head a little (lol) . I've used this with the real techniques contour and blush brush. I just use the side if the contour brush.

I only have to touch my brush to the pan and it picks up enough product. I do not like this for a bronzer. It is too flat and dirty looking. This is not a bronzer for pale skin at all so I don't recommend it for using as bronzer. I have not used this a transition shad yet but I plan too.

There is no glitter and shimmer in this which is a huge plus. It's not warm toned just a matte brown.

The packaging on this is a little flimsy so I don't recommend for daily travel in your purse. It's cardboard flip top with a mirror. It can dirty easily. But honestly I love the novelty packaging. It's very retro and cute looking. I also like that it doesn't take up a lot of room of my overflowing dresser.

All in all this product will last me a long time. I probably won't need to repurchase in a long time but I definitely would!

Product: love the creamy consistency and how pigmented it is. It's stays on all day and looks great! And you don't need a lot of product on your brush to get you through the day so it lasts a good while (I've had mine for months and I use it every day for my cheekbones/general contouring areas and I've barely made a dent in it!) I get a long way with very little product for my medium skin. When I get tanned/during summer I'm not sure how it'll work but it will probably do good if I just use a bit more product on the brush and built it more. I payed around $16 for this product and it has absolutely become my favorite and go to bronzer, it doesn't have that awful orange undertone that I find most of them do. I will absolutely buy it again. Packaging: I think rhe overall packaging is adorable, smart design, easy to store in your makeup bag/bring in your purse and so on! However I do find that the packaging gets dirty and smudged with product easily and I I also think the mirror is too small, I often apply/touch up on the go and I want to be able to at least see what I'm doing.

This product gives me mixed feelings. What's good about it is that it's matte with no orange undertones so it really looks like you have a shadow under your cheekbones , giving you that natural high cheekbones look. I don't know how to feel about the pigmentation though. This bronzer is VERY pigmented and even one swipe may look too dark so a really light hand is needed. I feel that the colour is a bit too dark for me though , and it makes my face look dirty. Also, I find that it's a bit hard to blend in so it looks like I have this dirt patch on my face. And finally, the price is quite high to me ( a full time student ), so I think I will check out other drugstore bronzes instead

I love this bronzer! The shade is perfect, not orange at all, just the perfect brown matte bronzer. I do think it is a little pricy though, and although the packaging looks cute, it feels a bit cheap.

Why did i wait for so long to try this???

Fantastic bronzer for my NC25 skin. I have Nars Laguna, which seems too light for in the summer, a Smashbox bronzer in the Master class III palette, which is too red for me.

This is a yellowish (not orange not red), matte bronzer, love it :)

This bronzer caused a rash of acne wherever I applied it, no matter what my base was. I am sensitive to the Bismuth Oxychloride in this product, which is a shame because the cool tone of this bronzer was perfect for contouring, and it seems there are other great bronzers that make do without this irritant. I had to abandon my product before I was able to make a dent in it :(

Overall an awesome product! I wish the packaging came with a brush though. The shade instantly works to make the sides of my face smaller and gives me that overall sun-kissed babe look!!! It takes quite a few strokes to make the colour show up so it's definitely great for beginners to work with a light hand and slowly build the product up for that contour or that bronzed look! The only reason I won't repurchase is because I have a ton of other bronzers/contour products like Hoola, but I would say it's definitely a product worth to use!
