This is my absolute favorite! I wear alot of eye makeup so I want to go a little sutle on my lips and this does it. It's a nude like sheer gloss with beautiful glitter/fine sparke (that you cannot feel) it sparkles so nice when the light hits your lips. So far from boring. I wear it alone on my lips. I'm on my second tube and normally I'm not loyal when it comes to lip color. NW25 for ref.

Gloss has come a long way since the gloopy stuff they made when I learned to apply make up in the 80s! This is long lasting and really pretty--as it wears it gets even prettier, "setting" whatever color is beneath it to a sheer sparkly loveliness. I wear it over lipstick or lip liner as it's more a texture than a color. I didn't think I would be able to pull it off but it gives a polished, pretty finish & I get complements when I wear it. The brush is also great. The only downside is the packaging is huge for the small amount of product-- it doesn't fit in my cosmetics bag.

my new go to gloss.ive beenlooing for an everyday glossfor the longest. im partial to dior kiss in snowcherry but they discontinued it. i was devastated. i went to the mac counter looking to purchasesome lip gelee only to find out they are being discontiued. i was crushed. now my two fave glosses are no longer available.... luckily a sales rep suggested bare necessity. i am sooo happy! this gloss is the best. it reminds a lot of dior snow cherry. i cant leave the house without it. theis gloss will look good on any skin tone. im dark skin black female. (nw45) and it looks great on me. its extremely hard to find good quality products that aresuitable for darker skin tones. im so happy i discovered this shade. i highly reccomend it.

Mac's Dazzleglass in "Bare Necessity" is my absolute favorite out of the collection. Looks wonderful with any nude/peach or rose lipsticks! Gives off that sparkly pink and gold glitters. This is very pretty on its own, otherwise I pair it with Revlon's "Soft Nude" and it's just lovely. Similar to Mac's "Smile" as well, the color to this is more sheer.

I forgot to mention in my last review for "smile" that I love the packaging and the fact that it comes with a brush applicator. I feel with brushes you don't have to keep dipping into the tube, usually once is sufficient. This is a very casual Dazzleglass although still very cute and funky. It has pink glitter that gives this glass most of its color and makes your lips look very JLo/Kim K. Its a must have, although kinda sorta similar to Smile. Smile of course is much more coral. Also, the lasting power of the dazzle's are the best in the whole MAC line IMO. Love!
EDIT: So, I ended up taking this back for the simple fact that it doesn't WOW me. It's not unique enough for me to justify keeping, especially when a lipgloss is the LAST thing I need... as sad as that is. ;)

Pretty pretty! I also have this in rags to riches... Not gonna lie I prefer that color, but this is great to add some sparkle to your nude lips! For $12 off ebay you have to try this out!

Like others described, this is a transparent pinky nude with a hint of peach. It doesent show a lot of color when worn alone however it does add a slight pinkish/nude sheen when applied to the lips. If you are looking for in your face color, look somewhere else. This is a very subtle color, and would probably go best when worn over a lipstick to add a bit of glam and a hint of color. Georgeous nonetheless, doesnt last quite as long as the Liglasses(only about 35-40 mintues).
Also this stuff goes quick, just a few swipes and im already a 1/3 of the way through the tube. For 18 bucks you would think they would give you a bit more product. Great ligloss however!

My HG lipgloss for the past 2 years. I never liked Mac lipglasses because they tend to turn bad really quick on me, about 6 or 12 months. But this Dazzleglass it's 2 years old and still is OK. I seriously love it, even though it's sticky and I hate sticky l/g, this one is sticky in a good way, it never creates tha milky ring on lips. I love love the shade, it's a transparent peachy pink with a hint of caramel in. I use it on top of all m lipsticks , pinks, nudes, peaches. Overall it's a great l/g for every occasion, if I could own only 1 l/g that would be it.

I love MAC Dazzleglasses, and this is one of my favorites. I got it for Christmas and I have been using it endlessly. It is a nice, sheer, pinky-peach color. It looks beautiful and it smells amazing. A great product.

This is a super sparkly sheer peach color. It looks nice over lipstick but ti doesn't really show up on its own.

I loved it the first couple of times I wore it. Actually said to my husband that I wanted to own this product until I died (dramatic I know).
But put it on top of a lipstick as a gloss and the lipstick transfers into the tube and de-dazzles the dazzle glass. Oh and it lasts about 10 wears... I am down to a creamy non glittery tube of nothing special, after layering it on lipstick maybe 3 times... I want it again - but will only wear it alone... for the price tho - I will wait until I have a spare $50AU lying around... they are freaking expensive... :)

Love this product! It goes on well on top of other lip glosses or lipsticks to give that extra omph!
I took a lippy off, because I dont find it all moisturizing or flattering on its own. It kind of feels too sticky for my liking at times (hence why i wear it on top of other l/gs to reduce its stickiness).

I love this one. Im soo addicted to it right now. Yes it is sticky, BUT i think thats what helps it stay longer. I think if it was thinner, then it will come right off. The smell is great too. I can almost eat this stuff. The color is good too.The color they show on the MAC website is not really the same tho. This is a good universal lipgloss. Matches with any look.

This was one of my very first purchases to MAC. I got this last weekend, and I love it! It's such a nice simple color. The SA said that pretty much all of the lipglosses are sticky, but this one I didn't mind. I mean, you sort of want it a little sticky that way the gloss will stay. I really like this lipgloss, and the smell is just another great addition. So glad that I now have this in my collection! UPDATE: I returned this. It has virtually NO color. I am not too impressed with MAC SA's either. Prolly just the one location I went to, because they weren't very friendly. I may give them another try in the future...and go to another location for sure!

Ok so i've had very bad experiences with MAC's Lipglasses, they are awful. Fullstop. But i thought i'd give this dazzelglass a try since everyone raves about how gorgeous it is. So i brought it off LoveMakeUp.co.uk for only £10! It came today and i can offically say...Its amazing!
Its basically a clear gloss with a hint of appricot and some nice shimmer and glitter in there. It looks gorgeous over my MAC's fabby lipstick. Infact it would look great over any lipstick.
Its great for going out but its easy to pull of out in normal daytime. So pretty.
Thank god it doesnt come with the stupid doe foot apllicator.
Definatly worth it.

this is my first Dazzleglass and i am super impressed with its staying power! the first gloss that has lasted hours on my lippies! perfect to wear over lipstick for a great shine and some added sparkle, also great alone with MAC Whirl lipliner (a fav)! the color is subtle...the texture is moisturizing...the sparkles add a super shine without being too over the top "sparkle"! i would definitely buy again!

I went to the MAC counter and asked to see a peach lipstick, a darker color, not a pale peach as these leave me looking washed out. The MAC girl gave me the See Sheer lipstick and topped it with the Bare Necessity lip gloss. This combination is amazing! It's a great corally pink that looks fab with my Asian olive skin! Just what I was looking for- a fun summery lip look. See Sheer is described as a grapefruit pink on MAC's website and I would say that is accurate. Some people has complained that this lipstick seemed too orange, but on my olive skin definitely more just a grapefruit pink color. On its own it is very natural looking on my pigmented lips, maybe a little boring, but a good color for work, especially in the summer since it is part of the lustre lipsticks. Bare Necessity is part of MAC's dazzleglass line and even though it looks brown on the website, it is more of a sparkly nude apricot color, so go by it's description and not the color swatch. It's basically an apricot version of Oh Baby lipglass(which is a sparkly nude) and looks great by itself too. Now, as much as I love the color combo of the lipstick and gloss, and the color of the gloss alone, I did take 1 lippie off for the gooeyness of which all MAC lipglasses suffer. I mean, I know this helps with staying power of these glosses(which is decent), but it is sort of pain to make sure all of my hair is tied back so that it doesn't get stuck on my lips(I'm usually pretty active and usually outside). But again, gorgeous color so I just had to buy it. I probably won't be rebuying though, because I probably won't be using it enough to run out or before the dazzleglass line disappears. But am I so happy I have it? Absolutely. I will feel great every time I can wear it!

I love this! It's soooo gorgeous to look at. It's FUN to apply. Smells great. Lasts very long.
If you don't like sparkles, don't get this. The sparkles last a while.
It's a perfect summer color!
