I'm very pale and cautious about sun protection and I've tried every type of sunscreen out there. This is my favorite chemical sunscreen because it's:
1. Got a high SPF
2. Goes on slightly oily, but dries to an almost powdery finish. You'll still be slightly oily, but it's not as bad as the other sunscreens out there.
3. Lightly scented. I'd prefer no scent at all, but I don't think that's possible so I'll take this.
4. Great price for the quantity
This is great for vacations when you'll need to apply tons of sunscreen on a hourly/daily basis.

I use this sunscreen all the time in the summer. I use this underneath my Austrailian Gold (for added protection from the sun). I love the amazingly high spf, & this does protect me from the sun. Yes, it's greasy. This is sunscreen we're talking about. What sunscreen isn't? People have such high demands for what they expect from a sunscreen. Some of these "wants" are ridiculous. People are commenting on the smell, the greasiness, & how it looks on your skin. This isn't a perfume or a scented body lotion, this is a sunscreen. Who cares what it looks like & if it smells like strawberries? Please tell me what sunscreen isn't white & greasy, because I'd love to know. I don't care if it's greasy, it's supposed to be...as long as it works for protecting my skin I'm good. This is also sweat proof, & stays on in the pool & lasts a long time. I only have to reapply this a few times if I'm in the sun all day. This is one of the best sunscreens I've ever used, no complaints & no sunburns. I love this & I will buy again when it's summer.

I recently was on vacation for a week at the beach. Normally, I work a daytime office job so I don't get a lot of sun on a daily basis. My pale skin requires serious protection. The first sunscreen I used was not only ineffective at protecting me from burning but also stung when it melted off my face & ran into my eyes.
I switched to the Banana Boat and it worked great for me. I found it easily applied and absorbed into my skin on my body & face. It didn't melt & sting my eyes like the cheaper store brand I used. I always reapplied after being in the water and also reapplied frequently during the day. It saved my skin from any more burning.
My husband has a darker complexion but he was concerned about getting too much sun so he used it too. It worked just as well for him. I would re-purchase and use it again for extended periods in the sun.

I really like this product. It didn't leave a thick greasy residue on my skin that I've noticed with many other products, and it didn't feel like it was going to slide off my skin. I can sit outside for hours in the sun and not burn with the SPF 50. The only reason I don't give it 5 lippies is because it is a little thick for facial use. Otherwise, it's an excellent product at minimal cost.

I use this sunscreen every day. I use it on my face and haven't had any problems with breaking out. I bought the 30 and it didn't protect my skin as well. I had freckles and spots after a week of using that one. This stuff is cheap and works great!!!!!! I just bought a new bottle that has a pump on it. So I gave the packaging 5 lipies for that.

I'll be blunt. I just really don't like this product.
I was out with friends & had to use it without a swatch test because a certain male in my household managed to dump my sunscreen out when he grabbed the bags.
The texture was thick, felt icky and greasy to me. When we got home, I found that I had a rash on my body where it had been applied. I have super sensitive skin, so it is very well the reason I reacted to it, but that being said, even if I didn't react to it, I would never buy it.

I read in Paula Begoun's book that this sunscreen is not stable and does not provide the spf 50 protection it claims so that does makes me very very wary..But assuming that her information is wrong, this sunscreen is average..White thick lotion that leaves a greasy finish.I wouldnt wear it on the face but use it for the body..it does leave a slight whitish cast on the skin as well.

It goes on well, does not have too strong of a fragrance, and seems to do the job. Satisfied!

I like this product, it is thicker in texture, so it feels like it "sticks" to my skin rather than forming a greasy layer which slides off onto my clothes. I use this when I'm outdoors playing soccer. I didn't get any weird tan lines. I don't remember there being any off-putting smell... but I didn't pay close attention to that. I didn't use it on my face so I don't know whether it caused breakouts. Good product.

I gave this 3 lippies because it really is a great sunscreen as far as protection goes, but unfortunately it caused my skin to break-out. If you have sensitive skin, you might want to rethink this one.

This stuff works great. It's super moisturizing and does not smell like sunscreen at all. I use it every morning before I apply my jergens natural glow and then put foundation over it after the lotions set.
I love that this product is made for "sport performance". That means it should last much longer than regular sunscreens. The bottle claims that it last for 80 minutes of nonstop playing hard in the sun and water.
I'm 25 and realize how important it is to protect my skin. I will definitely keep repurchasing this. I think this bottle will last forever since I only apply it to my neck, shoulders, and face.

♥ i've used coppertone but when i tried this it becomes my HG!
first, i love this coz of the ingredients it has aloe vera, vitE, vitA and no parabens plus it is avotriplex that means it has UVA/UVB protection and spf50..
second, i use this on my face it doesnt cause me any greasiness, sting my eyes or breakouts while on my body it doesnt dried my skin, no white residues or anything.. it feels light and it absorbs into my skin quickly..
third, there's no any chemical or sunscreen odor so it doesnt clash on any prefumes or it doesnt make me smells stink like other sunblock do.
fourth, i think this is really a waterproof one or sweatproof coz after i exercise or run the sunblock is still there like i dont feel it fades away.
fifth, i love how it lasts i dont need to worry to reapply every 1-2 hrs. but still if im really active or i stay longer outdoor i reapply just to be sure..
sixth, the prize is cheap for an effective and multitasking protection..
overall, i love love love how it works on me. i'll definitely buy this again.. ♥♥

I really loved this product, it's a awesome all over sunscreen. I hated the packaging though, ever time I would open it some of the sunscreen would come out and you have to hold the sunscreen upright while putting it on or else it would constantly leak out of the bottom. Other than the packaging I loved it.

I admit ignorance regarding sunscreen components and what makes one sunscreen more or less effective than another. But I am very conscious of which sunscreens appear to work for me. Being biracial, I have pale skin which tends towards the pink and translucent, but I color and burn very slowly. So when I do show a little color, I take that as an indication that I've gotten far too much sun, and I've been very vigilant as of the past few summers to make sure that I'm protected. This summer - my first spent at altitude, where the sun is out consistently, and stronger than it is at sea level - I've been using this product, and I have to say that it has worked. I've worn it during an incredibly sunny and hot long weekend in Santa Fe; I've worn it jogging in the morning; while hanging out for hours at the park, and I haven't had a sunburn on the areas that I've applied it to. I like that when I sweat - which I'm proud to say I do quite a bit, and in abundance - it still works (even though I do reapply it every few hours, when I know I'll have lots of sun exposure). I have yet to try it in the water, but I'll update if performance suffers after an outing at the water park next weekend.
The price is just fine for the high protection and for the amount of product you get. It is a bit greasy, but I've just been applying it instead of body lotion.

This sunblock is pretty great because it contains their patented AvoTriplex (like Neutrogena's Helioplex but this one doesn't flake/ball off like the Neutrogena's). Therefore, the protection lasts much longer and you don't have to reapply the sunblock that often or at all. I have this in the 50 SPF so it is a little greasy, but the benefits probably outweigh the slight greasy factor. Anyway, I will probably try the 30 SPF the next time around to see if it is more matte. This doesn't break me out. I would repurchase this but will get the 30 next time.
