I don't know why they call this sheer moisturizer because I would say the coverage is light which is exactly what I wanted. I have an awesome daytime moisturizer (jojoba oil) so I wanted something that isn't sheer so it would even out my skin tone and cover any acne scars. I have fair skin with pink undertones that are very obvious but I don't have acne or anything so I don't need foundation on a regular basis. I have it in luminous beige and it is a perfect match for my skin, no having to spread it onto my neck! I usually do have to touch it up if I've worn it all day and I'm going out at night but that may be because I touch my face a lot so on my cheeks it tends to wear off after the work day. The only reason I don't give this a 5 is because their shade selection is weird, some are very yellowy and I can't tell which is meant to be the lightest shade. The reason I started really looking for a tinted moisturizer was because I tried lancome beinfait tinted moisturizer and loved it but it was way to expensive, it would always transfer onto my phone and the lightest shade was a bit dark if I applied to much but I love how dewy it left my very dry skin and had medium coverage without feeling like it. To me, this marcelle stuff is just as great, it leaves my skin a little less dewy but oily skinned girls may appreciate that, it transfers a lot less and for me luminous beige matches my skin awesomely.

I have this in Creme Beige and it is perfect for my yellow undertoned skin. It's slightly heavy and thick for a tinted moisturizer, but still easy to apply with your fingers and the coverage is light-medium (closer to medium).

Either way, it's just enough to even you out and give a beautiful, healthy-skin glow. It's not enough to cover dark acne marks, but that's what concealer is for!

In fact, it's actually really great everyday TM (which actually does moisturize, unlike many I've tried...) and wore it pretty much everyday for a few months.

However, I found it was slowly breaking me out after a while. Just a little bit, but it was consistent. There's something about this that is really difficult to remove (maybe the sunscreen?), and even though I consistently use a gel cleanser and my trusty MAC oil cleanser, there must be some sort of residue that is left behind by this.

I'm keeping it as a four, because it is a really great TM and would probably be HG status for me... if I could figure out what's going on with the breakout problem ):

I have Luminous Beige (NC-35-40) and I love it. Bottle has lasted me forever! blends perfectly with my skintone. Really nice luminosity, kind of goldeny. I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin because it is really dewy, but a natural dewy. I always use it during the summer/spring season when my skin needs SPF. Goes on sale a lot too.
Only con is that is smells weird when you put it on, but doesn't linger.

Initially bought the lightest colour and thought how nice the coverage and finish was. Then I went and bought the cafe au lait based on a makeup alley review and I just love it!!!! I used instead of moisturizer with a little pressed powder and that's all. Such a nice smooth finish and even though I have fair skin the cafe au lait makes me look super healthy and brings out my eye colour. This stuff smooths on so easily and covers all kinds of minor veins and flaws. My only complaint is that it feels a bit greasy and the nice finish didn't last :(

I love this tinted moisturizer! The colour (creme beige) matches my skin perfectly. The bottle, though small, has lasted me months as I do not need to use much product to smooth my complexion. This makes is worth the $15.94 that it sells for. The coverage is light, but enough to cover redness and blemishes. It is moisturizing and has a light feel to it, as opposed to heavy foundation. I use this in every season, and it moisturizes my skin, and leaves a dewy finish that doesn't look oily at all! I have never had a breakout using the product, and I use it almost everyday. Sometimes I set it with Physicians Formula Happy Powder (translucent) which sets it, and gives it a more shimmery look. It is a great product that I would recommend for those who don't like the cakey look or feel of thick foundations, but want good coverage and moisturizing effects.

I find the color luminous beige matches quite well for my NC 25-30 skintone...I have oily skin and it doesnt seem too "greasy" once I have set it with my mac studio fix powder foundation...I will repost if I dont like this seeing as I just bought it but overall I am not disappointed my skin is glowing and it gives me a beautiful even tone. so far so good

I decided I am going to return this prodect its too dewy for my skin type--just doesnt deliver for me but if I had dry skin I would probably love it

I've been using Marcelle tinted moisturizer in Cafe Au Lait for over 10 years and love it! It is the perfect shade to give my pale skin a hint of bronzed color. It doesn't feel like a 'mask' like foundations do, it just feels like you're putting on a moisturizer. I make sure to blend down onto my neck to make it look more natural. It is just enough to smooth out uneven skin tones or minor flaws without without looking unnatural.
I've had people ask me what my secret is to smooth, glowing skin. I tell them and I've had lots of feedback later from them thanking me and telling me how much they love it, too.
Also, I have very sensitive skin but have never had a problem with this product.
Highly recommended! :)

the color cafe au lait was perfect on me. it gives pretty sheer coverage, but enough for my liking. i don't like how it feels kind of sticky when you try to blend it in, and you have to use quite a lot. i am still looking for the perfect tinted moisturizer.. any suggestions!?

I have to give this product a negative review. I paid around $14CDN which is a very reasonable price and the colour (cafe au lait) was a good match for my skin. I also liked the texture and coverage of it. However here's where it gets not so good: the product would not absorb into my skin so it transferred onto everything my face touched. Ew. Brown goop sitting on top of my face. I also have very nice normal skin and prior to this product, I had not had a single blemish in about one year. Then in the 2 weeks of trying this product, I experience about ten pimples. Whoa! Now it's in the trash can where I am safe from it and my skin is back to perfectly clear! I'm currently on the hunt for a good TM. Don't purchase this please.

this was highly recommended by Shoppers Drug Mart cosmeticians as a replacement for Vichy Lumineuse (since 00 - Naturelle Satinee is discontinued). the colour & texture is good - so initially I was very optimistic, but, unlike the Vichy, I had a reaction to something in it - eyes burning & cheeks warm & turning pink (no kidding!) I am disappointed, as it felt & initially looked good - DON'T RECOMMEND BASED ON MY REACTION.

I really like this product, it gives a sheer covereage with a bit of colour and a very slight shimmer. It's kind of greasy, but it looks better with powder on top. This tinted moisturizer makes my skin look just like Hayden Panettiere's--glowy and radiant. This product is not meant to replace your regular moisturizer, it's just meant to add some colour and a little extra moisture.

Also, it is hypo-allergenic, non-comedogenic, contains SPF 15, and is fragrance free.

*I bought 50 mL for around $12.

I love my CoverFX foundation but I was on the hunt for a tinted moisturizer to wear during the week at work. I love my beauty sleep and honestly it just takes far too long to apply regular foundation for me as I am a bit of a perfectionist. This tinted moisturizer is perfect!!! I have oily skin and can breakout when I'm not careful what products I use on my skin. I have never had an issue with Marcelle products, and it didn't start here either. It kept my skin clear!!
It goes on very lightly, easy to blend with just enough coverage and SPF. There is a light hint of shimmer which makes skin glow and appear luminous. The price is perfect too, at around $11.00 CDN at SDM.
I love this stuff!! One of my new HG products!!

I got this for Christmas and I've been using it about 2/3 times a week. I really like this product, the only complaint I have is it's not very moisturizing. After I wash my face and put this on, my cheeks and chin feel dry. I have combo skin so I'm surprised that I would need more moisture.
Other than that, I love the color, I'm ivory/fair in most makeups, and creme beige gives me a little color without going overboard. Blends really nicely. Very matte finish.
I think it's just our Canadian winter that is sucking the moisture out of my skin, I think this product will be a lot better in the spring and summer. Would buy it again :)

I really like this product. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Stila TM and this was it. It evened out my skin colour, nice dewey look and no break-outs! I need to add more sunscreen to it because spf 15 is just not enough for me.

For me, this is too greasy and too orange. The lightest shade is way too dark, and I'm not even very fair. I returned it, I would never have used it.

I bought this in Luminous Beige as recommended by the SA for my Asian skin (NC20-25) on sale for $10 (reg. $13-14). It comes in a convenient and portable-friendly squeeze tube that I like.
What I was looking for: something low-maintenance to even out my skin (though my skin is already fairly even on its own) or add some life and glow to it when it's looking dull, on days when I don't want to bother with foundation. Sometimes I bring my makeup over to my boyfriend's house and apply it there, so having a portable foundation-like product (that I wouldn't have to carry around a brush for) is also a plus.
What I got: First off, when I was applying it, it seemed a little too yellow for me initially, but afterward it seemed to be a very good match. I didn't put any extra moisturizer before applying and didn't have to--if I'm not careful to moisturize well, makeup will get flaky on my forehead and under my eyes, but this didn't happen to me. I basically got my skin, but a little better; a bit more even and brightened-up (I noticed some shimmery stuff on my fingertips). I would recommend setting this with a bit of powder to help it last, and also because I got slightly shiny later on.
Verdict: I like this product a lot, but I took off a lippy because I'm not sure whether or not to keep it--I get similar results from just mixing my Marcelle True Radiance foundation with some moisturizer, so I don't know if it's essential to have.
I think the lightest colour it comes in is Creme Beige, which is a bit lighter than me, so someone who is very light-skinned or pale will not be able to find a matching shade. Since it's a tinted moisturizer I don't think it's realistic to expect it to give a lot of coverage or do much for undereye circles. Like other TMs, it's probably better suited for people who generally have good skin but want a little pick-me-up.

EDIT: Even though I liked it a lot, I ended up returning it because it seemed a little bit too dark for me after all.

I've purchased this product at least three times already!! I still need to use moisturizer underneath because my skin's pretty dry, but other than that it works great! It has the balance of keeping you looking natural and also evening out your skin tone. It covers my minor scars / blemishes without drying out or causing me to break out. It doesn't crease around eyes, but I do suggest using something else because it won't cover up dark circles. My skin can be unpredictable at times and my aunt suggested I use this. Although there could be a better variety in shades, I have one that's perfect for me.

Nice product. Feels smooth going on and provided the sheer coverage that I was looking for. I have super sensitive skin and so far no breakouts or hives. They have limited colour choices and I picked a colour that was a little darker than my normal skin colour so I wouldn't have that ashy look that people get when they are wearing something too light. The sun is out so I'm sure it'll be fine. I would have given 5 stars had there been a wider colour selection.

Overall a great product for very little money.

My problem with tinted moisturizers has been getting the right shade. Most companies only have 4 or 5 to choose from. I first bought "luminous beige" but when I tried it at home I realized it had a very yellowish base to it. So I went back and got "cafe au lait" and it matched much better.

Although it is sheer, I do find it gives some coverage. I have mild redness in my cheeks and a few acne scars and while it didn't cover them completely, it definately helped to lighten them.

So far I love this product, it goes on smoothly and fels light. I will comment later if it makes my skin break out or anything like that.

I have never been able to use an actually liquid foundation and for the past three years I've always used the covergirl tinted moisturizer and absolutely loved it until they discontinued it! So ever since i've been on a mad hunt to find one that compared. After many many trials and experimenting with different ones i finally found it! The marcelle sheer tint moisturizer is perfect! It looks very natural and it doesn't make you feel like you're wearing a mask which is the # 1 thing i need in a makeup ! I have tanned skin and use the cafe au lait and find it matches my skin perfectly. I love this tinted moisturizer and am sooo relieved to have finally found it!
