The instructions for no!no! say that you need to use it every second day for 6 weeks, then use as needed after this time, and that you need to go over the same area at least a couple of times for the best results...well, I have been using every 2 day (sometimes more) for 8 weeks now - I spend around 10min on each calf - so I'm going over areas at least 5 times, and more on the hairier parts. I have had no decrease in hair growth, and it's not finer or sparser - another crappy appliance, crappy expensive appliance I should say ($319, usually $399). The heads on the no!no! are replaceable - the first one lasted me 4 weeks - so if I want to keep using it I will need to buy replacements - so more money spent. I will keep persevering with this thing and if a miracle occurs I will update this post accordingly - but seriously, don't waste your money.

I find it creepy they claim to be so amazing yet there are so few reviews out there. I am confident they have staff taking things down or something weird.
ANYWAY, I bought it to use everywhere. Lets, arms, underarms, face - wherever I felt the need. I use it on my face. I am not a hairy girl, but I am very picky about any fuzz on my face. I dont like to wax as we all know it is bad to pull the skin, and threading is painful. This is the only place I have the patience to use this product. I would absolutely not recommend it if you are going to rely on using it under your arms, your legs, or bikini. I feel like the hair may be too strong. It works on my arms, but it takes so long I cannot be bothered.
The only reason I kept it was because it gets rid of all the fuzz on my face....Is that worth 300 dollars? To me, yes.
I dont use it frequently enough to say if there is a reduction in hair growth, I dont think there is.
I have been using it since sept 2011.
I would recommend: for fuzz hair, NOT actual stubble leg, underarm hair.
It took forever to arrive even though I paid upfront one shot. They said it would arrive in a few days and it took like three weeks. The whole point of paying upfront was to get it sooner. They sent extra hot blades to compensate.

I would like to say that I used this product for about a year. Specifically, I aimed to reduce hair in the regions of my arms, legs, tummy and back. Although, I do not have beastly hair anywhere except my legs I was still aiming to be completly hair free or perhaps almost unnoticeable unless held up to a microscope or something like that!
Let me begin by saying that I've had great luck after 6 months of using this. The hair did not decrease in number, but only in density (which what they claim it will do anyway), so therefore, it was much much thinner. I did not use the product 3 times per week, but instead every other day on most of my problem areas.
After a year, I decided to toss it. Why? Well because I figured that my 40 dollar epilator was an efficient resource for hair removal ritual. I did not want to end up spending more money and more time on this little gadget. I figured my iPod cost around the same price and it lasted me about the same amount of time until it broke. However, the most important reason why I parted with this tool was attributed to the fact that it is not FDA approved (I know some will argue that it does not matter anyway what FDA approves or doesnt), but I looked up some of the research on this and the studies were done on only 12 people or something ridiculous like that! So even though it might remove my hair and they claim its "completly safe" worse things have been claimed by advertising companies and I will not wait around till someone discovers that it leads to cancer.
Again, I would just recommend to do your research, consult a professional specialist and ask how the "science" of this thing actually works.
Bottom line, save your money for professional electrolysis.

ok, here goes-super expensive, but ultimately worth it-if you are patient. i bought the unit at sephora. i am a petite gal who is unfortunately furry :) all overrrrr. so i tried it all over.i mean complete torso and limbs. no big difference at first-but if you are patient after a few months there is a significant amount of reduction-for me perphaps a 60% or so reduction. my legs and torso are greatly reduced. my arms are tiny-hard to run over with the unit so not as much reduction as i would like-but i will continue to use and hopefully will see more results.i honestly will say this has changed the quality of my life-yes as dramatic as that sounds.i can wear much less clothing and am quite confident now while doing so. there was a time before you would never see me in a backless dress or tiny top and now no problem :)
drawbacks-you have to spend alot of time going back and forth over areas-and in areas you cannot reach you have to get help (back of the neck and such)
you have to continually buy replacement blades-they are 20 bucks a pop.
this device works best (in my humble opinion) on dark fine hair.-really works well-burns that stuff up! i didnt find it worked at all on coarse hair-and i have heard others say the same.
DO NOT use this on your face!! i tried and burnt my upper lip and got a blister which scarred! it isnt visible now but i was pissed at the time! but hey-i cant complain it says on the box not too. however you can use on your neck and jawline with good results.
this is NOT a immediate gratification deal-if you are expecting lazer removal quality you will not be satisfied.if you are looking to greatly reduce the hair you have (mine is either now gone in large areas or reduced and the hair is much finer) and are willing to commit to using it several times a week over several months it is worth it.
buy at sephora-they have a great return policy :)
goodluck!

Ok, I held onto this for few months, gave it a fair shot but it is not up to par. I now quit using this and got a promo from a local medi-spa for hair removal treatments and I'm having 100% great results with them. With the no! no! I got very minimal results. I'm sorry I just didnt like it. It is time consuming, and I hate the procedure. Here is my trial test:
1st time use (monday)- Used it on my lower arm with the smaller blade, and it made my skin really red and very hot (like cigarettes burning my skin). The bathroom smelled like burned hair, very disgusting smell.
2nd time use(thursday)- had new growth, used it on lower arm again, same hot feeling. Smell smell.
3rd- emailed No!No! to check the results will last. I got a response back from the No! No! team that the results last as you use the product but that dissapates as you stop using the product
Several uses later- my arm still had new growth, skin is dryer than usual. Same smell, so I know the hair is burning off but hair grows back after few days.
2 months later- I read the Allure's review for the no!no!, it stated that their users only used the product, and they had lowered new growth, BUT the hair grew back when the users stop using it.
My conclusion: hair reduction is "not permanent" with no!no!. You will experience hair reduction when you continously use the no!no! but Once you stop using the no!no! the reduced hair grows back. With the hair removal at the medi-spa, my results are "permanent hair reduction" only after 3 treatments. Most spas will work w/ you to break down payment or payment plans, my package was $400 for 6 series FDA approved laser and they allow retouches for a lifetime because they guarantee their permanent hair reduction. So I have that reassurance. I dont think the no! no! will put medi-spas out of business unless they improved their product.

I have only used this product twice so far so I don't know how reliable this review may be, but I will update later:
So far I have noticed a reduction in hair re-growth. I didn't mind the price since it is nothing compared to having to wax as often! It is very easy to use but the first time I tried it, there was a buzzing sound that scared me out of my mind! (this only happens when you don't hold the No No straight, at a 90 degree angle.) I think it is very worth it, time-wise and money-wise. Overall it is a good investment but don't expect to see results overnight.

I have been using the no!no! for about 2 months now and have noticed a substantial reduction in hair re-growth in certain areas. It seems like there is more of an effect on dark hair so I've noticed it most on my legs; underarms; etc. My arms have blonde, fine hair and while the no!no! works if I want to "shave" them I don't know that its made as much of a difference in the amount of hair that grows back.
It is expensive! I was considering getting laser hair-removal on my underarms & bikini area so the investment in the no!no! was certainly better than laser and while not as effective as soon I have read that even laser hair removal is just really expected to reduce your amount of re-growth; not forever remove all hairs from an area.
My skin is very sensitive to shaving/waxing irritation and I was really tired of the razor burn every time I would shave my legs and underarms. My husband is also very sensitive to razor burn on his neck so when I can convince him to try it; I think it will really help him too.
I would recommend the no!no! for people who are not going to have to make huge sacrafices to afford the unit first of all. Also for people who actually have issues with shaving/waxing because honestly the no!no! is a BIG time investment; it takes quite a while to cover a small area and I don't know if I would think it was worth it if I didn't have such awful irritation from shaving/waxing. After using the no!no! you will not be "hairless" it basically burns the hair so there will be some stubble. Also you will pretty much have to shower right away after using it or you will smell like burnt hair.
For me its been worth the time and money. It really is pain-free (have to be careful in curvy areas such as knees, ankles) and if you are getting regular waxing treatments or laser hair removal it is much less expensive than that anyway.
Pros: Reduces hair-regrowth significantly (most noticably for me on dark hair). After initial investment it is far more reasonable in price than traditional laser hair removal. Fairly easy to use.
Cons: Initial price. Significant time is needed to use regularly. Appears to be not as effective on blonde hair.

(not sure which review is the "Real" one, so posting this in both!)
Ugh. Let me start off by saying that I am a gadget-fanatic. I have a clarisonic, zeno, am about to buy an at-home LED system, and even have a Roomba and a Chumby in my house :) But this is one gadget that has sorely let me down. Yes, it does remove your hair. Sort of. But it takes a LONG time - you need to go over each section multiple times. Even then, the removal is "cosmetic" and by that I mean, if you run your hand along your leg after using it, you can feel (though not see) some stubble. I used for several weeks and did not notice any big difference in hair growth. Then again, I only used 1x per week (that's all I had time for! it takes forever!). Also, it technically wouldn't get EVERY hair - random ones would still be left here and there. Shaving takes 1/10 the time at 1/100 of the price. Very disappointed in Sephora for backing this product.

Ok, I just started using this a week ago, so I will definitely update after longer use. But, here is my initial experience.
I didn't find the device too hard to use. It's easy on large flat surfaces, like my legs, but I'm still working to perfect going over bumps like knees and elbows without getting the little zapped feeling previous posters have mentioned (like getting snapped with a rubber band). I'm more scared of it than anything else, it isn't actually that painful.
The smell can be quite strong if you are using it on long hair, but if you are treating stubble it isn't too bad. Noticeable, but not overpowering.
I was confused at first, because I wasn't getting smooth results. After going over an area again and again, followed by buffing I still had a stubbly feeling. The hair wasn't visible (it's blond, but very thick and coarse) but I could still feel it. I thought I must be doing something wrong, until I visited Sephora's website and read that, especially at first, shaving is necessary to achieve smooth skin. I swear this statement is a new addition, because I never saw it before when reading their info about the No!No!. So, apparently, this is not meant to be a true method of hair removal, but rather a way to reduce hair density.
This is annoying, but not a complete deal breaker for me, since the remaining stubble on my arms is soft enough to not be a problem. My legs, well, I just have to shave them to get complete smoothness. These are the areas on which I cannot have laser removal done since they are blond. If this expensive little gadget does end up actually reducing my hair density, then I will be satisfied. If not, I will have a fit after spending so much!

I will update this review as I use the No!No! more often.
I received my blue $250.00 No!No! from Sephora today. I had watched the demo on the Home Shopping Network and had a good idea of how to use it and what to expect. I followed the directions for popping the "hot blade" into the unit, attached the power cord, and off I went. Yes, I was bad and did NOT view the enclosed dvd. I will get bored and watch it at some point, but I was excited to try the No!No!
First thing you should know- when the device is plugged in and on, it doesn't make any noise until it touches your skin. No humming, buzzing or vibrating whatsoever. It does make a sound once it is in contact with your skin, but it is really a somewhat quiet unit.
Second thing you should know- BURNING HAIR STINKS. Light a candle, girls. You WILL be stinking up the room you are in.
Third thing- I can already tell there is a learning curve with this thing. If you don't hold the unit at exactly 90 degrees and move at the right speed, the green light doesn't stay on and you are not removing hair. You must learn to glide the unit slowly over your skin in a smooth, slow motion. You will know when you are doing it right when the green indicator light stays on and you smell burning hair. Afterwards, the burnt hair needs to be buffed off with the buffer pad. In the demo I saw on HSN, they say the hair is crystallized. That is a nice was of saying it is rough and charred.
The good news is this thing absolutely did NOT irritate my sensitive skin. I get razor burned very easily, some lotions burn my skin, and I can not use Nair without chemical burns. That is how sensitive my skin is. There really is no pain whatsoever with this thing. Just stinky burning hair. I can deal with the scent of burning hair if this thing delivers on it's promise of reduced hair density. I will update this review and report back on that reduction in hair growth, or if the whole thing is a scam and gets returned to Sephora.
***************************************update***********************************
I think I have this thing figured out. It is NOT a razor. If you expect to No!No! then walk out with silky smooth legs, it isn't going to happen. The buffer removes the "crystallized" hair, but still leaves some roughness. So I DO shave afterwards. The great thing is though, my legs are staying smoother longer. Stubble isn't growing in as quickly. Normally I have to shave every single day, but the daily stubble isn't growing in like it was before. YAY!!!!! So yes, it appears you must commit to using the No!No! a few times a week, but possibly will be rewarded with less hair in the future. Oh, and I did something the manufacturer tells you not to.....I used it on my upper lip. Removed the **ahem** hair just fine, but feels like the heat may have burned my upper lip just a bit. Unfortunately, the slight burn won't stop me from using it there again. If I could never have to bleach/wax/epilate/tweeze my upper lip again, it is worth a sunburn like burn for a day or so.

Wow, what a waste of money! I purchased this with the hope that it could at least partly replace shaving for hair removal, and if it made less hair grow then great. I freaking mastered this tool.....every hair length and both types of 'blades', but they DO NOT remove hair. nope. it will smell and sound like the hair is burning off, but even after you do the buffing step your hair will still be right there. does not remove hair at all. forget this....I am returning it to sephora and getting my $250 back!!!!!!!!!!

Unlike the (luckyyyyy!) previous reviewer, I do not have the good fortune of laser hair reduction. I have the supreme misfortune of having the worst genetics for our bare, bare everywhere culture. I have dark, thick, coarse, quick-growing hair and very pale, sensitive skin.
I have tried everything my student income can support. I tried waxing, but I bled so much, the aesthetician said I shouldn't do it anymore. Plus it took so long for my skin to depuff and the redness to go down that the hair was back already! I tried epilating, but got crazy ingrowns that leaked puss (yes, I tried anti-ingrown balms and Tend skin and ivory soap and rubbing alcohol). Depilatory creme removed the top layer of skin and made my test spot scabby.
So. That leaves me with shaving. A complete bummer, since you can see my hair through my skin even when I just shaved. I also have five o'clock shadow legs, so I have to time my showers JUST before events so I can ensure smooth skin. I get some ingrowns and irritation, but by and large, shaving has been the least debilitating method of hair removal for me.
When I saw the Nono! on Sephora during friends and family, I was so hopeful. I researched it online and read the extensive and very helpful reviews from various bloggers. I wanted it to work SO BADLY. Unfortunately, I ended up returning it, because of a bad skin reaction (take this with a grain of salt - YMMV and as I pointed out above, I'm very sensitive) and inefficacy.
It's really inefficient. You must Nono, which takes about 20min to thoroughly do one leg and about an hour for full body (legs, underarms, bikini). Then you still have to shave to have smooth skin.
You must also buff the crystalized hair out of the follicle. No high technology here, it's just a fine grain pad that you scrub against your skin. If you buff too little, your skin is nobbly (Plus, if you singe the hair at the root and the hair stays in the pore, you will get ingrowns), but if you buff enough to soften the rough patches, you scrub your skin off - it's hard to tell when to stop, because you still have stubble you must shave and it's not advisable to buff after shaving. It's well nigh impossible to tell the difference between a "crystalized hair" and a hair that the Nono simply didn't work on.
It also reeks. I thought I could deal with the burning hair if it gave me smooth skin without the bad reactions I get to other hair removal types. Unfortunately, I used it for about a month, Nono-ing every 3 days, but I really saw no results beyond the increase in red blotches, sensitivity, and ingrowns. Since I had to shave just as much as before, it really isn't anything but an added 3 hours of unpleasant grooming per week coupled with a skin so fugly I have to wear pants anyway.
I think it could work if you have sparse, fine hair. Which is kind of silly. "Gee this really works to remove my non-noticeable hair."
It's us sad ladies with thick, coarse hair that are in desperate need - especially if you have thick, dark, coarse hair and pale, sensitive skin like me. I guess I'll have to wait until I'm a millionaire and get laser removal. Though I bet I'll find some way to be allergic to that too.
I guess I'll just continue to be a (bitter) Chewbacca girl wearing pants in the summer.

*Please read below for my update!* If this review helps you, please let MUA know!
This is the new gadget being sold exclusively at Sephora for long-term hair reduction based on thermolysis.
The areas I am treating (underarms, legs, bikini line) have already undergone extensive laser hair reduction, and the remaining hairs are very sparse and intermediate, not coarse & dark like they used to be.
I was very curious about this product since I perform laser treatments and wanted to offer my patients something they could use once they reached their endpoint with the laser series. Since the no! no! is color-blind, it could potentially treat lighter, thinner hair better than a laser can. For this reason I will update this review after some time passes. I am planning on using this twice a week for the next month, then I'll taper down to once a week and re-assess after 8 weeks of treatment have passed.
***UPDATE (3/17/08): It's been 8 weeks, and I don't notice ANY difference in the areas I wanted to treat. It did zero for the coarse, dark hairs that resisted the laser series. It also didn't work on the thin, fine hairs in the areas I previously lasered. But the control area I treated (tiny amount of fine hair on my knuckles) responded fairly well.
CONCLUSION: this will work ONLY if you haven't subjected yourself to extensive epilation, waxing, or laser. Otherwise, forget it.
The no! no! is well-designed, if a tad bulky in the hand. It just seems a bit boxy, and I think they could have designed it to be more ergonomic in the hand. The hot blades are very easy to insert in the chamber. I also like the fact that the power button is on the adapter and not on the unit since I think it would be easy to shut the unit off accidentally if the button was on it.
I found that it was very easy to work at the speed required to keep the green light on. You can't move at a snail's pace or the green light won't turn on and the machine won't activate. I had no problem around bony or curved areas, but I think this is because I used an epilation device for years and I do laser treatments at work. However, I could certainly see how some ladies would need to practice a bit to perfect their technique. I can do underarms, bikini line and legs in 10 minutes and that's probably lightning fast...
It can get quite hot in the more sensitive areas. I got this uncomfortable zapping, pinching sensation on a couple of spots. They pass quickly though, so it's not bad (certainly better than epilation, waxing or laser!).
The definite smell of hair singing will fill the air when you use this, so be prepared.
I used the hot blade for longer hair on my pits (I have only about 5 hairs on each side and they're wispy, and since I shave about once every 6 weeks, they're a tad longer than the 1 mm max length recommended for the other blade). I used the hot blade for shorter hair on the other areas since I tend to shave 2-3 times a week there (though they are also fairly sparse from the laser treatments). I really think that the hot blade for stubble will give better results based on my professional knowledge and common sense, since the thermal current is conducted through an additional guide wire. In addition, the smell of burnt hair and the discomfort are more apparent when I use that blade.
The buffer is kind of a joke. It just doesn't buff that well. You're better off shaving the day after treatment. The thermal energy is supposed to cap off the hair and round it off, but I still feel some roughness, even after using that stupid buffer.
Here's the description from Sephora along with what you get:
no!no!
What it is:
A revolutionary new concept in hair removal, suitable for all hair types and skin colors.
What it does:
Achieve hair density reduction at home, with no mess, no cuts, no burns, and no noise. No!no! is based on an exciting new technology called Thermicon™, which uses the scientific principles of thermal transference to conduct a gentle pulse of heat to the hair. It features a unique innovation: a thermodynamic wire to transmit the heat to the hair. This patented wire and built-in safety mechanisms has allowed for the adaptation of professional hair removal technology into a home use product. Please note that no!no! is not recommended for use on the face. Additionally, the thermal heat signal destroys the hair, which is characterized by odor.
What else you need to know:
With a no!no! treatment there's no pain, you don't have to wait for hair to grow long in order to remove it, and there is no skin irritation like in-grown hairs, red pimples, or rashes to cover up. Remember no!no! is a treatment process for hair reduction and not a miracle cure for unwanted hair. Like any professional hair treatment, it takes time and dedication to achieve your desired results. The same holds true for the revolutionary no!no! hair removal system; with all the right moves, stubble-free, super smooth skin will be yours. Be sure to follow the directions closely for the safest, most effective results.
no!no! is not a razor:
Using no!no! in conjunction with the buffer will remove the majority of hair, but not all. For smoothest results, especially in the first few weeks of your hair reduction program, use a razor along with no!no! for a clean shave. Use the buffer to remove residue and maximize smoothness, then shower or bathe and follow with body moisturizer.
Everything you need to get started with no!no! is here:
-3 short blades
-2 long blades
-a storage bag
-small brush to clean the no!no! device
-charger
-1 buffer
Hot Blades and buffers are designed to last approximately three months (2 - 3 hours of treatment time). The actual life of a Hot Blade or buffer, however, depends on several varying factors among them: frequency of use, the area and type of hair being treated, and the stage of treatment you are in

well, i ended up returning this to sephora. so why do i give it a 4 you ask? well, b/c it does work. at least it removes the hair. i honestly didn't notice any difference in hair density/amount and i used it for months. but ymmv. i wanted this b/c shaving really irritates my legs and i hate waxing. so i was happy that it worked for that. however, i would find myself never wanting to use it b/c it took sooooo long. i had to go over and over the same spot to remove all the hair so i just never wanted to do it. interestingly, it actually worked much better and faster on the coarse hair on my SO's chest than it did on the finer hair on my legs. i decided that in the end, for the amount i used it, $250 just wasn't worth it. i'm back to tearing my legs up. =P

Just bought this today, but I've gone into Sephora several times to try it out with various salespeople....for the dual purpose of making sure I didn't impulse buy....and to get a variety of opinions from different people.
I've used it on my arms so far. Although the packaging says not to, I have heard (From sales people and various other online reviews from other sites) that it can be used on delicate areas such as the bikini. However, I have just ventured into trying this....so....we'll see.
I imagine that using a product such as this would require some finesse before delicate areas should be explored...so....proceed with caution.
I did a cost comparison/pain comparison; by and large, this product saves money over time in that you don't have to go to the salon over and over again for waxing (which ads up quickly) and it doesn't hurt (waxing OMG hurts).
One note: hair smells bad when it is being burnt....so...breathe through your mouth.....
and read instructions carefully.
ps- i think that they put the advisory on there regarding delicate skin areas so that they don't get sued. IMHO.
